All the best for Brad !!! My room is small but densely packed with shelves with 90 Cold War jets in 1:72 including 4 NF5's, 7 F4's, 3 F15's, 2 F111's, 5 F104's, 6 F16's,3 Tornadoes, 3 F 18's, 2 A4's, 2 F8's, 5 Mirages, 2 Jaguars, 4 Drakens, 2 Viggens, 2 Harriers,a Lightning, a Buccaneer, a Tomcat, a Vigilante etc tec. and numbers of Floggers, Fishbeds and other MiG's .... Enough for a nice airshow static display back in the eighties and nineties. In 1:32 2 F104G's, an F16, an F4F, a Mirage IIIE, a Tornado, an A4E and a MiG21 PFM. Further a few warships. About 1.5m shelf of videos and CD's and about 35 m of books and magazines, mostly military aviation and history related, about 20 atlasses as well as books about railways and trains. Some train models too, some antique, including a live steam loco back from 1915. More than 100 unbuilt aircraft kits........ And of course the computer and a radio/cd set. The whole thing is a modest nightmare for my wife of course but then she has her own library about trees and nature so she shouldn't complain too much. A paradise? For me : yes, but a problem when we have to move or when I die !!) Aju, Derk

J-35 Draken pack (A,B,BS,D,FS,J,OE,F.35)
Kirsten replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
As I already said (just don't know where it went....) what a great pack and especially what a great F35........ Obviously some extra work went into it. Always considered it more or less the ultimate Draken, a very capable fighter-bomber in its later years after the avionics refit. Nice to have the original shape of nose without the IR sensor, the extra internal fuel the RWR, the chaff & flares and the Gripen tanks (actually the Draken tanks that were sold to the Swedes for use on the Gripen when the F35's were retired....) And I couldn't find the sounds. No problem, but I'm curious what they are like.... Thanks a LOT !!!!!! Aju, Derk -

Second this !!! Aju, Derk -
Thanks Dave, looks like a good job with all the extra work on the F35, including the Gripen tanks (or more correctly the Draken tanks later used by the Gripen), avionics, RWR, chaff/flares, more internal fuel, no IR sensor and some more nice details, great !!!! Maybe time for a drink now ? Aju, Derk

How about taking it easy with a guy who's English is obviously not so good (yet) ? Everybody here takes it for granted that English is spoken and written, and okay, the forum is in English of course, but how many foreign languages do YOU speak ?? Aju, Derk -

Hello Kevin, The guys from the Buffalo forum at Warbirds sure know their way around. They basically confirm the thing about the FS colours coming very near to "Oudblad" and "Jongblad". For good measure look at www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/pictures/brewster_replica.asp and you'll see the latest Buffalo ..... Aju, Derk -
Slik........ Derk

As for Christmas presents an electric train set is rather less costly in the long term. And with a crate of beer you stil have the empty bottles for return money in the end..... Aju, Derk

Quite a number of questions. The orange triangles on the upper wing surfaces were indeed painted over for better ground camouflage, and/or the planes were delivered without them. When war broke out on most planes the orange triangles on the other positions were removed and a Dutch flag was painted over instead. At least all the KNIL Buffaloes that fought in the defense of Singapore were painted that way while in the mean time at Java and other places the process of changing to flags went on. Indeed nothing on top of the wings. The orange rudders had been painted over some time before that. As for the colours , there was a two tone pattern consisting of "Oudblad" (old leaves) Fs 34088 / US Dark Olive Drab and "Jongblad" (young leaves) Fs 34092 / US Medium Green, while the undersurfaces were painted aluminium. The colours quoted were not actually used but they came as close as possible according to the experts of Dutch Profile. If you give me your emailadress I'll send you the same info that went to Wrench. Merry Christmas, Derk  -

Time to calm down..... These are harsh times and anything that TK produces that brings in cash is OK in my eyes. If you don't like it, don't buy it but let's hope it brings in enough for him to survive !! In the mean time there is plenty of life left in the stuff we had up to now, with addons arriving almost daily proving the point ..... Of course there is always room for something really new but let's take our time. And at least let's stop making noise about something that costs less than one decent meal in a restaurant...... Merry Christmas everybody , Derk -
27 maart 2006...... Did you make the F-16B 313Sq KLu Tiger tail ? Still beautiful, don't know if it became an MLU but maybe you'll fly J-068 one day....... I still fly it in SF/WOE now and then. Goede Kerst, knallende jaarwisseling en een succesvol en spetterend 2009 !!!! Derk
