Are there certain sections of the site closed for maintenance? I've just tried twice to access the MiG-29 download section in the ThirdWire/SF area and have been told that I'm not allowed access. Antbody else got the same problems?

Does anyone know if there's a model of this missile in any of the latest weapons packs?

As I mentioned earlier, 5 star work on this. Hats of to the lads who've obviously spent a lot of time and sleepless nights on it . Just one question; is it neccessary to hold on to the default 'desert' file in the terrain folder? I'm asking because I always try not to keep files that aren't needed in order to save space.

After countless over the phone consultations with my ISP and some laptop technical TLC from my laptop manufactuers, I now think it's safe to state that it's properly up and running and fully optimised . It's also good to see that the Mod Dept's been busy. GREAT AV-8B+ by the way! Am hoping to upload my F-4ES cockpit/avionics upgrade package soon also. Since I had to wipe my ThirdWire platforms during maintenance, I've inevitably lost some of my files; most of which I've been able to recover. But some have been eluding me I'm afraid. Can anybody tell me where I can find the Mi-8 and Mi-17 download files?

That's the best news a modder could get on a Sunday afternoon with nothing to do but mod . The Irish Air Corps attack fighter inverntory in real life is laughable at best compared to the rest of Europe . It'd be nice to at least wish for a credible fighter inventory. Ahhh..... dreams, eh?! I was thinking of d/loading the A-4K Kiwi skin and working on that as an experiment. Thank again for the info on the freeware

Serial numbers are a pretty easy number to perform. I'll be going on a surf patrol after this for squadron patches. Keep an eye on the gallery for the results of my personal Irish Air Corps 'revamp'

To those of you who find this subject familiar, I apologise.... I'm getting pretty p**sed off with this at this stage. Would somebody be able to give me a step-by-step guide on how to insert photos to messages here (some of you are probably laughing at this now) and/or tell me where or if I'm going wrong: 1. I click the 'add photo' button on the toolbar. 2. My pop-up blocker appears and I click it to temporarily scripted windows. 3. I then repeat step one above. 4. A propmt then appears asking me to enter the URL for the image At this point I'm lost . Do I enter the current address at the top of the web- page? I've tried that and a little square appears on the message window. Please, please, somebody help me on this. It's embarrassing enough but it would save me having to upload images to the Gallery section and then adding the web-link to that page in order for somebody to see the image while posting messages like this. Here's hoping somebody can help me on this

Does anybody out there have decals for the Irish Air Corps? I've already installed the latest Nations Pack and unfortunately it's not present. I've also gone through the Decal Creation Tutorial but since I don't have a PaintShop program or anything similar I'm like a dead fish in water on this. If anybody out there has any I'd be grateful enough to make sure they'd be put to good use :yes:

Nice skin bud . I'm not too hot on creating skins but I've currently got an Argentine Air Force F-4E skin based on the original SEA skin for a 'what-if' scenario by placing decals on the skin. Those skins are pretty similar anyway to the skins the Argentines had on their Mirages & Daggers. This is just one 'project' in my current spare time folders. And unfortunately spare time is something I don't have a-plenty at the moment

I noticed in some YouTube ThirdWire videos that certain players have modded their gunsights to move independently on the HUD during a dogfight. Does anybody know how or if I can edit my files to enable that function?

Hi all. I scoured the 'Sounds' section in downloads and stumbled across a great alternative missile launch sound for anybody who's interested. It's in the folder called 'SFP1_WoV_SPV3'. Check it out. It's actually the rocket.wav sound located in the 'Sounds' folder of that download. If you like it, you can re-name it 'Missile.wav' and move it to the sounds folder in your game, allowing it to overwrite the original. I've tried it myself and it sounds a whole better and three-dimensional than the original.
