Looks like you have that same terrain tile issue I get when I increase the detail mesh size . There has got to be a way around this. I remember Fubar saying that he runs his detail mesh size settings at 16 and his screen shots show no sign of this problem. I get some results by playing with the near/ normal/ farscene clip distance using modified Lexx luther settings but I still can't seem to fully solve the problem. -

The problem was solved by GwynO and Gunny check out this thread lexx nukes I have really been wanting to get The lexx nukes working but i have been so busy i have not even had time to fly let alone play with the effect settings , so if you get this working could you do us all a favor and upload the settings? So funny that he just keeps tooling out these expansion packs that add a couple of planes and a few marginal improvements that break the things that we loved in his games to begin with. What his loyal customers really want is for him to bring the terrain engine up to modern standards and fix the bugs that have been overlooked for years. These games have so many great features.... so much works exceedingly well and should not be changed but there are certain things in need of a major overhaul, you could search back five years on this forum and find people complaining about the same bugs and issues -

I would bet they are attacking the radars that are lighting them up and the associated SAM sites and AAA that have fired on them. If your flight carries shrikes or any other anti radar missile they will engage when the enemy radar lights them up. Also... after the 2008 patches the AI tends to engage any ground threat that fires on them. -

The workarounds are just plain frustrating in my opinion, the flight models seem to be the biggest problem as the tanker will bob up and down unpredictably. This is on the list of things most of us want TK to implement as he upgrades his game engine. -

Dave, I vaguely remember something about fake (invisible) wheels being used on the uh-1's and a fake wheel mounted on a tail stinger used to keep the tail of the bird out of the tarmac. It would be great if we were able to get these birds working with the new patch level. edit- I played with the shock stroke and rolling radius parameters and that lifted the bird out of the tarmac... however it now floats a bit- sending you PM now. -
the game is not worth your time- link Buy this game instead link and make sure you patch it up or the AI will cheat to the point where you don't stand a chance.

I totally agree with Canadair,and issue this has been driving me nuts for years. This "Design choice" effectively limits the creativity and enjoyment of the player, it's a bad idea. The desert storm mod that had to rely on dumb versions of smart bombs in order to be playable is a great example of how this bad idea hampered creativity. -

You did not hit a structure(terrain object) ... you hid a ground object (Sam). You cannot order a jet from another flight to attack ground objects, you can set up a CAS, SEAD, or Armed Recon mission with a mission editor. Maybe TK will fix this strike mission bug in an up coming patch. until then Pfunk is right on this one.
