The carriers on gonzo station were the nimitz , Coral sea, and for a time the Midway and Ranger if I remember correctly . If that were the case we would be seeing a Thirdwire F-4N and perhaps an F-4S in addition to the F-14A... now wouldn't that be something. Allot of people don't realize how close it came to strikes on Iranian targets, the Air wings of both carriers were marked with special red and black Identification stripes in preparation for an all out attack.

Those images of the Iowa class battle ship operating a harrier bring back memories of the purposed assault ship configuration in which one or both(depending on the design... of which 4 of 5 were put forward) one or both of the aft guns were to be removed and repaced with either an angled flight deck with one catapult and arrester cables or dual angled decks for harrier stvol operations. The whole aft end of the ships were to be rebuilt with hangar space and troop temporary troop quarters the flight deck(s) were to be mounted much higher. Tried to post an image of the mock ups but couldn't... oh well.

I am fuming mad about illegal immigration. I have dealt with it up close and personal I have watched it destroy the ability of skilled labor to bargain for a fair wage... this BS about the jobs that Americans wont do is just white wash Construction Culinary Arts Hospitality Trucking Maintenance Landscaping Just a few of the professions that have been decimated by illegal immigration. I have seen entire crews replaced, except for a couple of key guys who were kept on just long enough to train the new crew and (unknowingly) thier own replacements. I have also dealt with the violence committed by Illegal aliens first hand, what I have seen is horrific. Most Americans cannot begin to get past the issue of race, and since many of these aliens tend to have a dark completion those who suffer from white guilt cannot take a serious look at the animalistic behavior of said illegal aliens The issue behind this level of violence is not race it is culture and education. The scumbags I am referring to are the rejects and out casts of a third world culture they have an IQ of 75 to 85 at best. they have a complete lack of impulse control. For example: Illegal alien shoplifter could have just run for the door... but instead he bashed in the scull of the 65 year old female store owner with a full can of Pepsi not once not twice but three blows, then bit a chunk of flesh the size of a 50 cent piece out of the arm of a customer that grabbed him to pull him off of the woman. He then breaks a bottle and slashes at two more customers cutting one of them. Now he starts to run, with 3 of us in pursuit he makes it out the door and runs through the Bar next door throwing the broken bottle at a store clerk who was gaining on him, just as he cleared the back door we were on him and took him to the ground. the bastard starts screaming he has a gun and reaches for his pocket, I secured his hand and arm as it entered the pocket and what came out of the pocket was a folding knife. Before he could open it I destroyed the entire mechanism of his arm breaking his fingers, wrist, and ripping out all of his forearm tendons while placing the elbow joint in a bar in case I needed to pop it too. The crazy son of a bitch won't stop fighting he is screaming that he is going to kill us all.. he's screaming that I broke his arm while kicking and clawing at the guy who is trying to control his other arm. About that time the bouncers make it out into the parking lot and try to take control. These dips**ts show up with an attitude and order us off him, I kick the knife over to one of them and say do you want him?? Are you sure? Get a good grip... so these bone heads grab him and we let go. They start telling him that they are placing him under citizens arrest . The SOB starts screaming "F YOU I AM NOT A CITIZEN" We were pulled aside and were in the process of being lectured that we had used excessive force by the doorman as the illegal alien claws the eyes of a bouncer with his one working hand.. gets free and runs beween some cars and into an alley... just as the cops start showing up. The cops recognized the bastard from the stores video tape, he was an illegal alien who they had arrested several times before. They never found him, don't know how as he had to have sought out medial attention. This is just one example... I have several others from first hand knowledge.

I was over at the third wire site and noticed that that TK had added a couple of new screen shots to his site header. The tomcat was added of course... but also what appears to be a later model AH-1 attack helicopter in marine low vis gray. Yes he has had a shot of a Mig 29 on his site forever that is not part of any of his games, but the AH-1 shot makes me wonder what he has in store for the upcoming F-14 game. Helicopter flight models are not officially sanctioned by TK as part of the strike fighters series as it exists today so it seems unlikely to me that he would feature a helicopter on his site unless he had plans include them in a future release. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I have a feeling something is on the way.

you would have to reclassify it as a cargo ship for it to show up in game generated missions. A better option is to get a mission editor such as le missioneur and create some custom missions against a whole fleet of ships of your choosing.

Headache..... Honestly Raden your posts are killing me, at first I thought you were a child and that was why the moderators gave you so much leeway but it seems that is not the case. My experience was that I asked about two questions before some one kicked me in the A** and pointed me to the knowledge base. From here on out I'm blocking your posts but I will offer this bit of advice. The Formosa terrain was designed before the 08 patches were released. It is my experience that when used with the 08 patch level or later that much of the terrain objects like entire factory complexes, buildings and bridges are buried in the terrain and do not show up . Gepard is not really interested in revisiting that terrain.. The Formosa terrain rocks with the 06 level patch try that Starry is working on a formosa update and it looks awesome just wait, it is on the way

I had a problem with the NF1 and 2 installers - look in your main install for an extra folder that it created called wings over europe. In it are all of the items for NF arranged in their respective sub folders. Manually install the items into their corresponding folders( aircraft- flight ect) of your main install folder. If you do not see a strange new "wings over Europe" folder in your main install folder check your aircraft folder it might be there.

This terrain is amazing!! Sad part is that with all the mods and tweaks installed I have slowly pushed my system to the point where it could take no more and this work of art was the final blow that took the frame rates to an unplayable stutter. After I've seen whats possible with this series i just cant go back . I guess its time to look into overclocking my CPU.

They have an F-14 package and and F-18 package in the works, besides that I would not expect anything from the Mirage Factory in the near future given the circumstances. I thought I read something about more F-4's they had on the drawing board but that was quite some time ago.

jack could you link to the "allflyable aircraft mod" and show me what you are talking about? A better option would be an F-18 or an F-15E pit... show me what you are trying to do and I'll take a look at it.

I respect your experience as it reflects the current litigious atmosphere of our society. What? No trees with the new patch? I have put together a "bastardized version" of that terrain ( taken from one of my wov installs) ported over to my SF2E install. I have trees with the Feb 2010 patch. My only issue is a bit of a ghosting effect on the hillside trees that silhouette against the skyline.

Yes, It is an upgraded version of the f-4S. Simulated P&W 1120 engines/ modern avionics and Hud/ enhanced weapons capabilities and improved counter measures. Probably my favorite a/c to fly in this series.
