  1. Hey Star Wars fans. Have You Seen This?

Yep, saw it, quite awesome that someone on its own did it that good, better than...well
  2. Lost in Space got it right!

As Napoleon said "Nuke from orbit, the only way to be sure"
  3. Hello boys, I'M BAAAAAACK

I didn't hear you clearly enough, what about getting that mask off?
  4. Hello boys, I'M BAAAAAACK

If you were in a CIA plane, you would be giving the orders
  5. Two WWI Photographs...

    Talk about crossfire
  6. Going Rogue

I actually think this might be my personal favourite SW film. TFA was great but didn´t live up to the hype (I was relieved that it was not as bad as it could have been, actually) So if we are getting an Star Wars film wich is more of a war movie with elements from the "Commandos on a mission" era (like Guns of Navarone, Heroes of Telemark, Where Eagles Dare or Dirty Dozen) and the way of filming and portraying the action scenes of the "Gritty hyperrealistic" era (Saving Private Ryan, HBO series...btw, how is Masters of the Air going?) Rogue One is going to kick ass.
  7. How many of you knew about these guys?

I watched the one with Van Johnson years ago. Those guys were amazing.
  8. Do Navy pilots land different

Meanwhile, some paratroopers are thankful you didn´t throw them from the aircraft midflight. Just my 2 cents
  9. Update on my broken toe

Sorry to hear man, but you've endured so much that you can "meh" that like a tank shot at with a watergun I was about to do the exams for NCO around six weeks ago when i got my ankle clusterfucked. Unhurt in jumps wich sent a lot of guys to the hospital, but a simple assault on a defensive position, misstep one rock and bust...yet i got a chance and my LT sent me to get all the RTO training we had available. Silver linings all around.
  10. Talk about a clusterfuck. I watched the Turkish coup live on TV and it reminded me a lot of how or war began pretty much like that, with a portion of the military rising against the government in a botched coup, massive civilian concentrations stopping them...and then the purges. We pretty much couldn´t wait for WW2 before getting our fascist-communist struggle...with the moderate people split in the middle.
  11. Independence Day

I KNOW IT IS SO BAD BUT I CAN WAIT TO... Wait, wrong thread it seems...sorry boys
  12. My sketches/drawings

I spent most of my time in college drawing planes (if they didn´t give me a laws degree, they could have given me an arts degree for what it takes) all i think is your lines look dubitative, as insecure. Dont draw trying to make it real, just draw imitating the feeling you get when you see the lines on an aircraft. I think it needs to flow, you know, that bruce lee thing about "be water my friend". And you should also try it from memory, draw what you remember, the impression it gave you.
  13. Really Getting Kicked in the Ass

Hope the best man, this kind of shit gets to everyone
  14. Even if you don't want Win10 ...

What i've seen nobody talking about is...will minesweeper be back?
  15. Grandma, make a toast..

I'm overwhelmed by how much wrong is in that vid
  16. Just couldn´t help it

Did anybody after watching this: ...think about this?
  17. SPOILERS: Star Wars: The Force Awakens SPOILERS

This kid needs a serious force spanking
  18. Who has Star Wars Tickets?

There was so much hype, some felt it would be up to it, some others it would put the last nails in the coffin of the franchise or something. It was better than the hype actually
  19. New Badges

Active duty can wear them too? I´m in the Spanish Army currently, but i wouldn't consider myself a veteran
  20. Night jump from USMC KC-130

Last night we dropped from a Herky bird from VMGR-252. Awesome, we were quite cool with the jarheads from the crew. The whole chalk was heartbroken when we learned that the female crew chief at the ramp was dating another Marine. They got a load of pics from us and as soon as they are cleared to send them to us by WhatsApp, will post here. EDIT: Only got this one so far. I´m the sixth guy sitting on the fuselage side doing the OK sign
  21. Night jump from USMC KC-130

Indeed, the Aviocar C-212s we had in jump school were so beaten up one could think they were deliberately neglected to motivate us into jumping. I was the man in the door in one of them, and with the aircraft bumping around (these air force hippies used our jump training flight to train rookie cargo pilots) and the cover of the green light fell of, from between my knees and out the door. Honestly, they fly all day long (I live by the airbase) and their mechanics are allways on them, but air force jumpmasters (we fly with Air Force jumpmasters-instructors during basic, then with army jumpmasters when in the unit) agreed with me that they were more afraid of landing with one of them than of jumping I love them, people say Cougars are a funnier ride because they are more agile and you can see everything (i sat with door gunners in them and it is awesome) but i still like Chinooks a lot more. Flying like it is a roller coaster in a helo the size of a bus is crazy. We kept shouting the LT flying it "Barrel roll motherfucker!!" (anonimity is great for picking on nearly innocent officers) even as the helo sounded like a sub going to crush deep from the Gs he was taking. I had to brace my MG3 so it wouldn´t smash my Sgt's face. Fun-weird fact. While the other Spanish Army helos Rheinmetall MG3s (an MG42 rechambered in 7.62 and other tweaks, basically) as door guns, and both our Air Force and Navy helos use Browning M3s, our Chinook door gunners use M60Ds. The guy sitting with that pig in the ramp of the Chinook must be nearly the best or the worst job in the Army
  22. Night jump from USMC KC-130

It is done usually because our Air Force gets fed up with us and this way we rely only in Army assets for a drop, however, i've personally done it just for conventional air assault but never parachuted from one. I freaking love it, it was awesome when it dove into "tactical profile" along a canyon with ou rescorting Tiger HAP was struggling to keep up at 300 Kph (around 160 knots). This one is all clear, here is the FB post of a Marine wich joined us as a translator, dont know where are the pics after it went dark, there is one from the door while there was still some sunlight, perhaps by the time of the actual jump they were spoiled or something, they couldn't use the camera flash at that particular moment https://www.facebook.com/davidfloresministry/posts/10206616846092596?pnref=story
  23. Night jump from USMC KC-130

Indeed we are so used to C-130s, the time we got to jump from an EADS CASA C-295 people was amazed at how comfortable it was. I didn't get to know it since they took me out of the chalk just as i was about to board it. It was a show to see the whole line of 58 guys lying fully equipped in the assembly area getting up to look at her reaching for the plane. I think they spray some hormones in our chutes or something to keep us from chickening out and we we`re all mad
  24. Why would aliens so far advanced visit us ?

Perhaps our definition of life is too narrow by what we see on earth to understand what events or something could really be that kind of alien. Solaris comes to mind, and it may even be too familiar to òur concept of life.
