Have we ever discussed the posibility of setting up an integrated air defense system incorporating tech from both? It might be a more evident issue with the latest volley attacks out of Gaza, but I had been thinking about something like that for Seoul for a while.

View File SF2 TMF Mirage IIIEE (EDA) by Macelena Upgrade Pack (v.2) This is the variant of the Mirage IIIE employed by the Spanish Air Force. Includes all files needed to run it on SF2, along with loading screens, specific loadouts, and an ad hoc pilot model. Install dropping into your mods folder. In doubt, readme included also Thanks to Wildcat, Espektro and Mirage Factory. I would like to dedicate it to Bpao, recently deceased, the founder of Mirage Factory, but it would be strange since this was originally his job, so this is dedicated to the Spanish airmen killed aboard it Anything wrong with the release, plase contact me here Esta es la variante del Mirage IIIE empleada por el Ejército del Aire español. Ante cualquier problema, contactar conmigo *** New Version Uploaded 3/21/2024 *** See post below for more details Submitter macelena Submitted 11/18/2009 Category Mirage 3

I've been looking a bit into them, not being very knowledgeable on their specifics, and I don't know what difference, if any, they had in terms of their role within Soviet/Warsaw Pact doctrine. They seem to have have more or less equivalent capabilities and seem redundant to a certain extent

New to SF2 can't wait to get started !
macelena replied to sixstrings's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Welcome! I would suggest you get SF2 Complete if you haven't bought any yet, you will end up wanting to buy all games, expansions and DLCs however obscure they might be. The game itself doesn't need much in the way of hardware, other than it seems not to like Nvidia for some reason, IIRC. Better ask someone more knowledgeable on that topic. If I were you I would start playing mostly stock, learn a bit about how mods work and then get them bit by bit depending on what you find most interesting. -
Your Wishlist Requested - When Thunder Rolled Aircraft Poll
macelena replied to WTRAdmin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
For that specific timeframe, it might be interesting to see the F-104s or the F-5s, you would think the US never used these in combat. -
All I did was updating some minor stuff to SF2 standards, but the team that made it originally went through lots of changes, including the death of the founde Bpao. There are newer mods about the F-5E, and the current standard in that regard seems to be this one: https://combatace.com/files/file/15116-f-5e-early-versions-pack/

Strange FPS up and down
macelena replied to PJB's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
My issues are not so drastic, but despite a fairly decent SSD laptop I do feel a noticeable improvement in performance with the fewest aircraft mods possible, but it does play great with maps like Green Hell and tons of (mostly stock) aircraft in the air. Seems like much of the issue, for me at least is reading different aircraft skin BMPs. That being said, I've got to appreciate a lot of the stock aircraft. The only modded one I have is my Frankensabre with two generic skins. Edit: Well, I just saw the F-86H, I guess that makes two aircraft mods.- 10 replies

Wagner guys sure have reasons to be concerned about the USAF. Imagine Milley and Austin feel like pulling a Mattis at some point.

F-100D Super Sabre coming to DCS World
macelena replied to streakeagle's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Something I've seen people in DCS do a lot, in my opinion, and it has become more apparent with the Mirage F1, is pulling too much AoA / too many Gs, almost stalling their aircraft. Many of the aircraft they have had could tolerate that, but if they lean towards the mid Cold War era, like in our SF2 niche years, they'll end up changing the meta and manage their energy much more carefully. Specially with the Hun, chances are it will become Farmer fodder. I hope the Phantom, being as iconic, brings more attention to the way they had to fly them in Vietnam for example. I hope to get into DCS in a couple of months though, and be gangbanged by these people. The effort and passion that community seems to put into the hobby is beyond my comprehension. They don't count the rivets, they check if they have the right twist and gauge. -
Mission Editor DLC
macelena replied to kosmo92's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Pretty much the point. I never complained about SF2 being abandoned if it wasn't profitable to develop any further, but if you are going to keep it on sale, at least make sure you are not selling it faulty or, in this case, not delivering it. -
Mission Editor DLC
macelena replied to kosmo92's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Ouch, that's bad. I found it worthy even if only to have it all in one place, but that hurts -
I'm almost eager that Germany has to bail us out of the next crisis and part of the deal is buying these to replace our Leos.

Is Third Wire still active ?
macelena replied to MK2's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Shame, I was convinced, after 9 years, we were close to Exp3, SF2 Korea, plus the Indo-Pak and Iran-Iraq games. -
How to use R-27 SARH
macelena replied to cimcim's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Could you give any more info? What aircraft are you using, the model of R-27, if it happens with other missiles, and so on. -
Question for community about MiG-19 updated ini (Flight model)
macelena replied to Eagle114th's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I've often wondered the same, beside issues like short range and, well, engines catching fire, it would seem like if the real Farmer was as good as it is in game it would have been much more ubiquitous and popular, not that it wasn't in real life but not as much as MiG-17s and 21s. I guess it might have had, as both the 17 and 21, some issues with the control surfaces at higher speeds but I've never heard any of that- 2 replies

It was awesome. Agree that it felt better than the first one, as blasphemous as it might sound. Bonus points for Maverick's jacket: In the trailers they had apparently replaced RoC and Japan flags for PRC points, they used the right ones in the film. Here's hoping they slipped it through and Tom Cruise burned some social credit score

It would be great but I'm somewhat holding out from taking it as granted. There seems to be something going on but it's been too long with no definitive confirmation.

F-14 Explodes On Ground in Iceland
macelena replied to Wizard43's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I've had issues taking off with Tomcats from ground bases in mostly vanilla installs, going full flaps down and pitching up early seems the way to go, the aircraft seemed heavy on the runway, as if the landing gear was collapsing with that much weight above certain speed. -
It is only the fact that the Ukranians haven't acknowledged it that could spell any doubt in my opinion. It does seem too surgical to be a false flag, hitting an actually relevant target without, reportedly, killing anybody, as compared to, say, a ballistic missile hitting a population center. I have the feeling those might have even been Russian Hinds going rogue, either on their own accord or some pretty ballsy commander trying to hinder their own advance to avoid or delay further carnage for some reason. It wouldn't be the first reported case of Russians sabotaging themselves or going red on red to avoid combat. Still, pretty weird, it would be awesome if the Ukranians had turned the tables that much, but if it is the own Russian military turning around, that would be even better.

Finally, FINALLY my Country (Canada) Makes a Decision; 88, F-35s
macelena replied to Arrow's topic in The Pub
I hope we might eventually follow suit. Having to replace the Hornet as well, it might be interesting to look at some made with the same refuelling system, although I reckon there would be more peculiar features for Canada that might not be as needed in Spain. -
