  1. Version Version 1

Fairchild A-14A 'AMX' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a very simple mod of Rafaels' AMX 2.0 to represent a fictional USAF version. I'm releasing this 'as is' (in response to a request) but it could do with a host of further refinements and I've quickly put the Third Wire A-7E_74 pit in there to get you up and running although I think there is a later AMX in the downloads section that might have a better cockpit. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the A-14A folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the A-14A folder into your Decals folder. 3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the AMX_EFT_580lts folder into your Weapons folder. CREDITS As always, big thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim. Massive thanks to Rafael Rodrigues for the AMX. And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 1 - 05/05/14
  2. Let me make some more tail numbers and also swap out the 555th for a Hill-based unit and I'll upload tomorrow.
  3. The A-10C masquerading as the Junkers Ju-887... Junkers Ju-887 of the Condor Legion
  4. Consolidated B-24D Liberator - GB II/20 Bretagne, Free French Air Force, Tunisia, 1943 Veltro2K's new B-24D - very nice!
  5. Yes, we don't want any rivet counters in this twisted neighborhood.
  6. Consolidated B-24D Liberator - Castille (Attack) Squadron, Spanish Republican Air Force, 1942
  7. Just a personal preference mate and actually allowable in the 'what if' section!
  8. B-24D Liberator, ETO Pak

    Great work Ed!
  9. A real treat! And thanks for the inclusion of a blank skin within the package - a nice touch.
  10. Brings back fond memories of seeing the Patrouille de France at RAF Alconbury during the 1970's.
  11. Really? I beg to differ. You make the courage, skill and sacrifice of the men of Bomber Command sound like a complete wasted effort. OK, there were dark days early on but by mid-1943 the RAF's heavies (and the Mosquitoes of the Light Night Striking Force) were a potent force that made a major contribution to the war effort so much so that during January 1945 the daily average was 1,420 sorties. The two-pronged strategic bombing of Germany during WW2 (USAAF by day and RAF by night) remains controversial but I'm pretty certain that the RAF's night bomber offensive would have been sharply curtailed if the Luftwaffe's night-fighters had the upper hand to the rather glib extent you've indicated by stating that they were 'cannon fodder'.
  12. I'd echo Wrench's idea of having a dedicated 'downloads' folder, perhaps on your desktop, as downloading straight to desktop can spew out a lot files especially from some of the older mods (not so much from here though).
  13. Northrop P-61A Black Widow - 586th Fighter Regiment of the Air Defense Force ('The Night Witches'), Soviet Air Force, 1944
  14. Douglas F-6C Skyray - 178th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, United States Air Force, 1966 Even better if they'd had the little-known and underrated Skylancer.
  15. I know. This was a reply made by me on my long-running thread on the 'what if' modelers website. Spinners, how about a USAF ADC Skyray? I'm not really a request show but that's a good call as the Skyray was a fast-climbing interceptor and VF-3 was, in fact, the only USN squadron to serve with NORAD winning the NORAD Trophy in 1957 and 1958.
  16. Vickers Vengeance B.3 - No.9 Squadron, RAF Strike Command, 1970
  17. A beautifully streamlined Skyray but supersonic (Mach 1.4 on the same J57 engine). It just came to fruition at the same time at the Crusader and failed to get an order : (
  18. As my German Mirage F-1CG uses stock decals I thought I'd share the decal positions. This is not a complete skin and you will need to add a skin from whatever Mirage F-1 takes your fancy (they're all good) and just carefully overpaint the existing 'painted on' national insignia.
