  4. Very good - great teamwork guys.
  5. Republic F-105N Thunderchief - 2 Smaldeel, Belgian Air Force, 1975 During early 1961 the new Defence Secretary, Robert S. McNamara, decided to severely cut-back on F-105D production and only equip seven combat wings with the type. The expected total production run of about 1,500 F-105D's was soon reduced to less than one-half of that number. With the end of the Thunderchief production line looming and no follow-on project in the immediate pipeline Republic Aviation quickly proposed a minimum change 'NATO standard' export version of the current F-105D-31RE (designated F-105N - 'N' for NATO) at a competitive price and this soon attracted the attention of several NATO air forces. By March 1963 export orders had by placed by Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Italy and the Netherlands with a slightly modified F-105M version being procured for the West German Marineflieger who had become disenchanted with the F-104G Starfighter. With the last USAF F-105D's and F-105F's going through the door at Republic's Farmingdale factory production continued with a batch of 200 F-105N's (Block-50RE's) powered by the Pratt & Whitney J75-P19W engine rated at 26,500lbs of thrust and 120 F-105M's.
  6. You'd be better off working in layers with GIMP (freeware) and then doing your wavy line by gently erasing away the edges of the green layer on the demarcation line or introducing another layer specifically for a white wavy line using a soft paint brush.
  7. No, it was one of my 'disposable' ones. I'll ship the skin over to you but it might be in a few days as I'm away on missionary work in England for a few days. If you can't wait until then try ndicki's superb Hunter templates. Select a good light grey and then boost your speculation and reflection levels right up high (a stock silver Third Wire MiG will give you some values to play with).
  8. Lavochkin La-19 'Freebird' - PVO Strany, 1962 I've also asked Santa for a SEA Crusader skin (or a template).
  9. It's simply sundowner's spiffing new F-105D_66 skin with Third Wire Mirage 5BA decals (although the raked fin flash is a little flourish by yours truly).
  10. McDonnell Douglas FGR.5 - No.92 Squadron, RAF Germany, 1978
  11. Hi res TW F-105D templates

    Outstanding!
  12. Awesome. Love the inclusion of 'blank skins' too!
  13. Republic F-105N - 2 smaldeel, Belgian AIr Force, 1975 (N = NATO)
  14. That lost shot is, for me, 'Screenshot of the Year'.
  15. McDonnell Douglas Phantom F.3 - No.229 OCU, RAF Strike Command, 1986
  16. All those Mustang aircraft names are so evocative! As a kid, one of my favourite books was 'The Mighty Eighth' and it was stuffed full of colour profiles some of which you've covered. Well done mate!
  17. Those September airshows at RAF St. Athan are much missed...
  18. I've been lucky enough to have been given this 'hybrid' to play with. In the 1970's it was my dream aircraft and, as a prolific modeler, I bashed the Frog F-4M and Hasegawa F-4E together to make one but this one is much more neatly done!
