  1. Downloading now but posting thanks now. Cheers mate!
  2. It would help if you could tell us what graphics software you are using but I hope the following helps. For GIMP then, assuming your layered template is OK then it's EDIT> COPY VISIBLE then open up a new file FILE>NEW (which should automatically be to the same size) EDIT>PASTE, LAYER>ANCHOR LAYER and then LAYER>REMOVE ALPHA CHANNEL (only if, like me, you use transparency as default) and then finally FILE>SAVE AS XXXXXXXXXXXX.BMP
  3. Hawker Hunter FGR.9 - No.2 Squadron, Royal Air Force, 1974 Sadly, the nose camera is just a bit of phototrickery. Perhaps I could make a decal? Even better, perhaps TK will make us an FR.10!! (After all, it did serve with two squadrons of RAF Germany and was exported to Jordan).
  4. Hawker Hunter FGA.9 - No.20 Squadron, RAF Middle East Command, 1961
  5. BAe Hunter FGA.9D - No.6 Squadron, 'The Flying Tin-Openers', Royal Air Force, 1983

  7. Hi tor and welcome to Combat Ace! Download Armourdave's Hunter from here http://combatace.com/files/file/5235-hawker-hunter/ and give it a shakedown flight. Then download the Somali skin that you've found and simply move the skin folder into the Hunter folder. Remember that you need to select the Somali skin for you and your wingmen in the drop-down menu in the hangar. Converting this to a nation-specific Somali Hunter would be a good first modding project for you and the Knowledge Base tells you how!
  8. Supermarine Scimitar FGA.2 - No.54 Squadron, RAF Strike Command, 1975
  9. Russo you Bounder! Very impressive - well done. Supermarine Scimitar F.Mk.51 - No.300 'White Tiger' squadron, Indian Naval Air Service, 1962
  10. Great work Paulo /Paolo - a tremendous effort there.
  11. Yes, I ported it over to SF2 and it flies really nice.
  12. Hi Toonz and welcome to Combat Ace. Enjoy the game first, then try some mods.

Douglas Skyraider A-1J 'COAN' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a simple mod of the stock Thirdwire A-1J to give a flyable 'what if' Argentine Skyraider with markings for 2nd Escuadrilla Aeronaval de Caza y Ataque, Comando de Aviación Naval Argentina as it might of appeared in the late 1950's and early 1960's. This mod requires you to have Strike Fighters 2:Vietnam so that you have the necessary Third Wire A-1 LOD's that are not included here. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the A-1J_COAN folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALs folder drag and drop the A-1J_COAN folder into your Decals folder. 3. From the PILOTS folder drag and drop the PILOT_COAN into your Pilots folder. CREDITS Thanks to Third Wire for the continuous improvement of a great little game/sim. Extra special thanks to CA_Stary for the cockpit (original read me enclosed). And thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 2 - 23/08/13 Version 1 - 17/10/10

Hola Douglas A-1J Skyraider - 2nd Escuadrilla Aeronaval de Caza y Ataque (ARA Independencia), 1961
  18. Great link Florian. My picture is actually signed by Axel Ostermann and Siggi ?????? possibly Schmidt. That was at RAF Brawdy in 84 or 85.
  19. Whenever I see the Starfighter with it's undercarriage down I'm reminded of 'The Viking Pair' display team (I'm sure it was Marinefleiger - I've actually got a signed photo somewhere) consisting of just two Zippers. About two-thirds into their routine Zipper 1 flys off into the next county whilst Zipper 2 comes in to land with everything slow, down and out. When Zipper 2 is about 10m from touchdown Zipper 1 comes below him at about Mach 0.99999 and frightens the living 5hit out of everyone - car alarms go mental, children start crying and grown men jump out of their skin and walk gingerley with soiled trousers...

  21. I think that this is all you need. Use Templates 1-4 to your hearts content (remembering to insert 'A' when you save as bitmap) and then just use bitmap 5 from the F-14A for the TF-30's. Depending on your scheme it might or might not need a touch of colour.
