  1. Tornado FG.5 of No.93 squadron, RAF Middle East Command.
  2. Regarding the cockpit, just who is that sultry looking female?
  3. OK - just putting the glass and canopy decals in the skin folders has done the trick. Carry on...
  4. Just so impressive - chapeau! You rock bobrock! With regard to getting this into SF2 I've sorted out the engine and effects by using SF2 stock but the only problem I've got is that I have no glass in the canopy. Can anyone help?
  5. Have you amended the part of the loadout.ini??
  6. Phantom FG.2 of No.74 'Tiger' squadron.
  7. I never, ever play 'Instant Action' but occasionally hit that screen button by mistake. So can it be disabled?
  8. Good work on these! Thanks very much. BTW the sizing of 1024 x 1024 is perfect for the SF2 F-4's.

Hawker Hunter FGA.9A for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a very simple mod of the stock Third Wire Hawker Hunter FGA.9 to give a fictional Hawker Hunter FGA.9A fighter-bomber aircraft as it might have appeared in service with the Royal Air Force during the 1960's to early 1970's period with RAF Middle East Command and 'what if' markings are included for; No.8 Squadron No.20 Squadron No.43 Squadron In reality, all three squadrons have an association with operating the FGA.9 in the Middle East area during the 1960's but I've banged them together as a three-squadron wing and clad them in this 'Desert Pink' scheme initially adopted in 1961 for the Kuwait Crisis and then kept for their extended operations in Aden and Dhimar. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the HunterFGA9A folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the HunterFGA9A folder into your main Decals folder. That's it! CREDITS As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim. Special thanks to ndicki for his superb Hunter templates used by me to create this 'Desert Pink' scheme. And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 3 - 21/02/16
  10. File Name: RAF Hunter F.6 for Strike Fighters 2 File Submitter: Spinners File Submitted: 14 Feb 2009 File Updated: 16 May 2010 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Aircraft This is a simple mod of the excellent Third Wire Hunter to give a flyable F.6 with markings for No.66, No.74, and No.247 squadrons of RAF Middle East Command based in Dhimar during the late 1950's and early 1960's. Whilst all three squadrons did actually operate the Hunter F.6 the markings are slightly 'generic' and the serial numbers are from the batch of cancelled F.6's. 12. The F-105 is already available! http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=7986 Edit: Sincere apologies! The above is for WOE. As for the F-104 it could be a bit tricky as the LODs are not in SF2 - I think this is because of a problem with Lockheed
  13. Ooops! I hadn't realised that the F.6 LOD's are true F.6's. Very Interesting!
  14. Did you install SF2 to your program files? It's best to install it outside of there - desktop worked for me.
  15. You know, if we knew the mesh name for the parachute housing (just above the tailpipe) we could make a true F.6
  16. I've uploaded the Hunter FGA.9 for SF2 http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=7965 Whilst listed as a skin (my fault when I uploaded) it is a complete flyable aircraft as the LODs are already in SF2.
  17. Some do and some don't. 20mm gatling seems to work as does the Hunter's 30mm Aden. Is it more the case of what type of ship?
  18. Phantom FGR.2 of No.8 squadron (N.B. did not fly the F-4 in reality) The decals from my FGR.5 fit just fine. One day I'll revise the serial numbers.
  19. This entry (from the F-4D_67) will get the SUU-23 gun pod to show up; [CenterlineStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=5 StationGroupID=6 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=0.0,0.37,-1.01 AttachmentAngles=0.0,-2.0,0.0 LoadLimit=2050 AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,LGB,NUC,GP,LP,IFP,DLP,MER,RCN AttachmentType=NATO,USAF ModelNodeName=pylon_centerline PylonMass=32.21 PylonDragArea=0.02 LaunchRailNodeName= MinExtentPosition= MaxExtentPosition= (copy and paste over the similar entry on the F-4M)
  20. For the engines, I'd recommend changing the relevant lines in the data.ini ExhaustEmitterName=CleanExhaustEmitter ExhaustPosition=0.65,-3.63,-0.58 AfterburnerNodeName=afterburner AfterburnerEmitterName=F100AfterburnerEmitter (remember to do both)
  21. I've been meaning to do this since I've had SF2 and just had a quick go. Copy the F-4M aircraft folder from WOE to SF2 (at this stage you won't be able to fly so don't bother trying) Using the cat extractor - extract everything 'F-4M' from WOE and put it into your F-4M folder (at this stage you can fly but have no cockpit and an unobstructed brilliant view ) Paste this into the top part of your F-4M configuration file and you can fly with a cockpit [AircraftData] AircraftFullName=Phantom FGR.2 AircraftShortName=F-4 AircraftDataFile=F-4M_data.ini LoadoutFile=F-4J_loadout.ini CockpitDataFile=F-4J_cockpit.ini LoadoutImage=F-4J_loadout.tga UserList=F-4J_UserList.ini HangarScreen=F-4J_hangar.bmp LoadingScreen=F-4J_Loading.bmp AvionicsDLL=Avionics60.dll AvionicsDataFilename=F-4J_avionics.ini The above works (for I was that soldier) but there might be further refinements to make but at least you'll be up and running. BTW, you won't have the proper F-4M decals which can be further extracted but that's for you to sort out!
