  1. I'm on it all the time and just love it but, for the moment, it's out there on its own - especially for campaigners and terrain guru's! My experience is that it runs smoother on Vista than any of the others did on XP on an identical PC (and quite a modest spec too).
  2. I've noticed that they are in SF2 as well - along with Shafir's and Mirage tanks, etc. It looks like 'stock' weapons will be common across the revamped Vista titles.

  5. In SF2 I've notice that the USAF F-4's with SEA Camo have the tank camo bitmaps in the aircraft skin folder. Presumably the US Navy tanks are default unless the game engine sees the tank bitmaps in the aircraft skin folder.

  11. This and the F-111C are the best looking F-111's in my opinion - I just love those long-span wings. I can't wait to get home from work to fly it (sigh, only another nine hours to go) but I've had a peek inside and that's a great looking skin. Good work Team Aardvark!
  12. How close to the edge of your decal 'square' is the image? Sometimes you get some bleeding out if you run too close to the edge.

  14. During the 1972 Dhimar emergency ex-USAF F-111A's were transferred to No.6 squadron, RAF Middle East Command pending the arrival of F-111K's. (Nurse.. my medicene please).

  17. A quick and dirty RAF F-111A (as opposed to an F-111K) for SF2. Oh, and I might do a Super Sabre FGA.2 which has the inflight refuelling probe re-instated for those long deployments to Dhimar or even 'Nam (Cheltenham)
  18. I'm grounded until lunchtime but would just like to thank everyone on the F-111A 'upgrade' team - it's great to have this as a complete package and I can't wait to fly this in the new WOV. Chapeau!

    North American Shark FGA.1 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a very simple mod of the stock Third Wire F-100D to give a fictional North American Shark FGA.1 (I guess the RAF didn't fancy the 'Super Sabre' name) with markings for No.33, No.45 and No.58 squadrons of RAF Middle East Command. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the SharkFGA1 folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the SharkFGA1 folder into your Decals folder. 3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the two files into your Weapons folder. That's it! CREDITS As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim.   20. Poor FPS

    SF2 runs better on Vista than the 'old games' did on XP (using exactly the same PC). I now play with shadows and mirrors ON and get the same speeds that I used to get with them OFF. Why? I haven't a scooby!
  21. I use The Gimp but struggled to grasp things at first before posting a question at The Simmers Paint Shop and the advice there put me on the right road. I'm not sure about CS3 but it's worth a shot. Incidentally, I bought Photoshop Elements last year but find The Gimp so much easier!
