  1. Right about the Thales (including their Damocles pod too). I wonder how the guys would handle having that much MFDs...(our MiG-29Ns retain the mostly analogue layout with one MFD, although word is that they got some SMT-level upgrades).
  2. Do you fly for your own country in sims?

Answer is pretty easy, actually. If you don't want to fly the plane because of something that happened, then don't.
  3. Goodness. STOP torturing me with all these pics, I felt a little empty on the inside . /me headbangs. Thank goodness I got my F-15SG to play with.
  4. Do you fly for your own country in sims?

I do, and I don't. Don't because of the relative lack of choices (still waiting for the new MiG-29A and an Su-30MKM, if ever). Do because I could simply put the TUDM roundels and finflash on a random aircraft and call it a day. Also, I know one would feel bad if their own country ever did something brutal, but leave the past in the past. What has happened already happened, and we would make sure that what happened should not affect entertainment.
  5. Help with russian

Public universities here offered courses in foreign languages for FREE, and most of them took Japanese (at least for the obvious reasons, and for some of us, well, the obvious). Though many people bug out after the first semester because things got tough.
  6. Shots From Work

Er...shouldn't these pics go to another section? Nice pics though, and the X-47B badly needs a Christmas hat.
  7. Happy holidays everyone!

    Christmas. Awesome time.
  8. JSF for RAAF

Though I would still think that if this is the first time that an air force is going to be flying Russian fighters, they would need a lot of time just to integrate this fighters into service. And considering the maintenance levels and logistics consideration associated with maintaining a mix of aircraft from both sides (something we regularly faced here), it is still better to stick to designs from one side, not mix around. Take Indonesia for example. Before the Flankers went in they could barely fly their F-16s at any rate, and the Flankers simply made it worse (in a lot of aspects, especially systems integration and the fact that they have nothing to fire with). F-35s could probably still penetrate our airspace (there was a story about one of the test aircraft or something flown over SEA airspace, and Indonesia is the only one to make a full intercept because the rest knew what it is, or simply don't bother), but it would take a lot of effort to send them over (unless it is a carrier-deployed aircraft). No matter what, for long-range operations a tanker would still be needed (this is why our Fulcrums and Flankers have refueling capability). JA 37 Viggen: Probably, but one can't simply jump into the Superbug and expect it to handle like a Hornet. It is a completely different animal (something like the Strike Eagle to the normal Eagles, except that the differences are far more pronounced, due to the new airframe).
  9. F-22 export possibilities

Yeah, and the only F-15s still built are the export models (second batch of F-15Ks and the F-15SGs), at least to retain the balance of power around the respective regions (F-15Ks for the new generation of Chinese fighters, and F-15SGs for obviously our Flankers, although I am actually doubting about the use of our own Flankers). It would take some time for them to consider closing down the production line (options they have is to either retain one of them in a case of an emergency, or something else). If we suddenly decided that our second MRCA squadron would be Strike Eagles then I'm more than happy (which won't happen because the government is STILL interested in the Super Hornets).
  10. I don't think the F-14 tanks ever had specific station codes. I think fuel tanks in general, they are already defined by the tank type entries in the aircraft_data.ini file.
  11. lindr2, I got a question (about our Su-30MKMs). Since they got a somewhat different avionics combination, did they still retain similar cockpit layouts to the Su-30MKI?
  12. In during myself saying OUR MiG-29NUBs. Only two of these guys though.
  13. Help with russian

That pit looks like one that belonged to the -35BM.
  14. johnrey: Yeah, the planes from Yukikaze is part of the inspiration. It looks a bit like the Sylphid/Sylpheed, but missing the fins (which should go a little more front).
  15. WDH: Have you tried tried using Tiki as a decal instead of having it painted onto the skin?
  16. 9 POTA (9th company Die neunte Kompanie)

Guys. Sorry to jump in, but we are not going to get into the subject of "the forbidden p-word", if anything. So yeah, hold your horses.
  17. Was being a little too creative with FastCargo's old ACTIVE canards...
  18. Tu-22KD

Yup, it flies with a pit. By the way, where can I find the EagleEffects?
  19. Those skins were fantastic. Any idea of one of these for the F-4D and the F-4E?
  20. That is some of the most fantastabsolutelous water effects I've ever seen for WoV. I wonder if my laptop would take a huge hit from all the aftermarket graphics enhancements I've had (like bloom and so on). Well, time for a new PC.
  21. This is apparently a fix made by lindr2 in the JH-7A release thread: Notice the use of '//->' and '//<-' in the section.
  22. Well uh, think of it as some kind of Thud, in the purest sense (no matter what it isn't a pure fighter).
  23. Amazing plane, and looks good! Good work guys.
  24. Nice one, and thanks for the complement. Reason I was looking forward to the F-5F is because...simply because we are still flying them (along with the single-seaters, although most of them would be sent into retirement once all of the Flankers arrive, except for the RF-5E)! I'm a GIMP user myself , so yeah (though not exactly a pro at that).
