The SA-4 Ganef was a long-range mobile system first deployed in the mid-1960s; the missiles, carried in pairs on a tracked launcher, used drop-off solid-fuel boosters and a ramjet sustainer motor. Employing a combination of radar command guidance and active radar homing, and supported by an array of mobile radars for target acquisition, tracking, and guidance, they could engage targets over the horizon. (Because the SA-4 strongly resembled the earlier British Bloodhound, NATO assigned it the code name Ganef, meaning “Thief” in Hebrew.) Beginning in the late 1980s, the SA-4 was replaced by the SA-12 Gladiator, a more compact and capable system. INSTALLATION: Drop everything from archive to your OBJECT folder. The S-300 PT is a long-range surface-to-air missile systems produced by NPO Almaz. The S-300 PT is intended to defeat current and future air targets in all conditions of their combat employment under intensive ECM and multiple-threat environments, such as government precincts, industrial facilities, command posts and headquarters, military bases, strategic and tactical airfields and nuclear sites. The S-300 PT system was first deployed by the Soviet Union in 1979, designed for the air defense of large industrial and administrative facilities, military bases, and control of airspace against enemy strike aircraft. The project-managing developer of the S-300 is Russian Almaz corporation which is currently a part of "Almaz-Antei" Air Defense Concern. S-300PT was using 5V55 missiles developed by MKB "Fakel" design bureau. The S-300 PT is also capable of destroying ballistic missile targets and is regarded as one of the most potent anti-aircraft missile systems currently fielded. Its radars have the ability to simultaneously track up to 100 targets while engaging up to 12. S-300 deployment time is five minutes. The S-300 PT missiles are sealed rounds and require no maintenance over their lifetime. A typical battery would be equipped with three 5P85 TELs, each with four SAMs, or double the SAM complement of the S-75/SA-2 it replaced and permitting 2 rounds per launch. The designation of this TEL following a mid-life block upgrade became 5P85-1. INSTALLATION: Drop everything from archive to your "Objects" folder. LICENSE: All models are made by me from the scratch. Hi! Special thanks to Florian who did the first mod of su-25 for SF2. All data files been taken from there. Also credits goes to Stary and Comrade. While making this mode, i used some files made by them. This model comes from a freeware source, and is used in several other games. Only some small details like drag chute, animation etc are done by me. And thanks to Thirdwire for this sim. THIS IS A FREEWARE. COMMERCIAL USE IS NOT ALLOWED! Enjoy! -
Is this possible?
Farid replied to GKABS's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
There is another possibility, to put missile on the fiction rail somewhere above the launcher, and show it on data file like “invisible” before the launch. In this case it will work more realistic:)))))) -

There is TOR system mod for SF1, and also S-300 mod for both SF1 nd SF-2. You can study their data files. The trik is simple: you put the missile to the appropriate place of the launcher in normal horisontal position, and then define in data file its minimum and maximum angle as 90 degrees (or -90). The problem is in real life missiles of this systems, after the launch make sharp turn toward the selected target and, as i know, this is impossible to be realised with the existing thirdwire engine:( -
