Tolle Sache! Wo hast Du das nur her? Mein russisch ist zwar ganz schön eingerostet aber das Ding scheint auf den ersten Blick echt zu sein. Was mich stutzig macht ist der Fakt, daß in dem Manual die Rakete R-73 nicht erwähnt wird. Die R-27R1, R-60MK und R-60M werden erwähnt und deren Einsatz beschrieben. Von der R-73 und der R-27T keine Spur.

Meine Frau war krank, Computer zum spielen blockiert, Fernsehprogramm war mies, also habe ich mich hingesetzt und was über die NVA Technik geschrieben. Das war vor genau einem Jahr. I think it is real, no fake. Radio news said, that the iranians are negociating with the russians to offer them the possibility to get access to the drone. No good news for the USA. What if Teheran will ask China too? The US government is saying, that they want to get back this drone. Thats a proof that there is really one lost. The iranians say, they have the drone and now the US government says, that they are thinking about a special forces raid to get back the drone or destroy it. If the showed drone would be a fake, the USA would act different. My 2 cents.

Irgendwie habe ich das Material zum Radar der NVA MiG-29 verkramt. Ich weiß, das Genie beherrscht das Chaos, aber ich bin numal kein Genie. Sorry. Die einzige Quelle die ich gefunden habe sagt aus, daß das Radar in der Verfolgungsjagd ein Ziel mit der Reflexionsfläche von 3m², also F-16, auf eine Entfernung von etwa 100 km erfassen und auf etwa 50 bis 60 km aufschalten konnte. Bei einem frontalen Abfangmanöver soll die Entfernung größer gewesen sein, um wieviel sagt das Stück Papier allerdings nicht aus. Ich werde weiter buddeln. Vielleicht finde ich ja noch was zu dem thema.

How can it happen, that airfields appear at the wrong side of the frontline. As you see in the screenshot below i have one red AB western the fronntline and a blue eastern of it (encircled with yellow). Strange thing!

Alle MiG-29 konnten die R-73 einsetzen. Für den Export gab es aber nur die R-73Ä (Ä=Export). Die Reichweite des Radars war von der generischen Radarsignatur abhängig. Ist schon ein Unterschied ob ich eine Tu-16 mit 16m² Rückstrahlfläche, eine F-16 im 3m² oder eine MiG-21 mit etwas mehr als 1m² anpeile. Ich schau mal nach was ich über die NVA 29er habe. Fest steht, daß 1991 in Vorbereitung des ersten Golfkrieges ein Duell MiG-29A gegen F-16C ausgeführt wurde und die MiG die Viper auf über 80km im Feuerleitstrahl gefangen hielt und sich durch keine Ami Störsender beirren ließ.

There is a maximum of possible groundobjects (tanks etc) for groundcombats. If i remember right it are 30 or so. More vehicles the game cant handle in one unit.

Make sure that you has the WE for first gen sims and not the SF2 WE.

Lexx, there were not enough Sabres at this time, so Le May used the Thunderjet. Not because he loved this bird, or wanted to test it, but because he had not had a better choice. When the Sabre came to Korea it came in to small numbers. The F-86 was needed for continental defence and for the forces in Europe much more than in Korea.

The big carrier battles in WW2 were mostly sea to sea battles. No need for land based planes.

Remembered me on the good old days of old "Harpoon" game i played on my Amiga Computer long long ago. I would bet, that Clancy wrote his book after he played a lot of "Harpoon". The carrier vs bomber battles are pure "Harpoon" strategy. If TK would finally gave us working and sinkable carriers and carrier escorts which are going with the carrier i would be very satisfied. A real carrier group vs carrier group scanario would be great, lets say british Invincible with Harriers vs Kiev with Yak-38. With this i would need no land mass.

Its a nice and capable bird. Not so expensive to operate than the other planes of its generation. A good choice. To be honest, i would like to see the Gripen in the Bundesluftwaffe of Germany too. Fits much better to our contry than the overestimated and not fully operational Eurofighter.

Ehm, dann wenn Du sie für SF2 moddest. Ich bin noch einer von der uralten ersten Generation. Außer SF2 Israel habe ich kein SF2 und selbst das nutze ich nur äußerst selten. Und die 5 Schuß minimum, das war nicht bei der MiG-29. Wenn ich mich Recht entsinne gab es das nur bei der GScha-23, also MiG-21 und 23. Da ging erst eine "Führungspatrone" raus und der Rest ist hinterhermarschiert.(Schlag mich wenn der Begriff falsch ist, das ist ewige Zeiten her seit ich von den Bewaffnern was davon gehört habe. Kann auch sein, daß ich das jetzt alles falsch wiedergebe.) Ob das allerdings nur 5 Mumpeln waren?
