  2. If i remember right there was a MiG-29 pack for first gen. Have forgotten who made it. There the SMT was included. It was the old MiG-29 (not MirageFactory) with a humpback added by fake pilot methode. EDIT: Found this old bird. Its made by Lindr
  3. You can covert some fan made SF2 planes into first generation very easily. Simply open all ini files, check wheter they are saved in UNICODE formate and if so save them into ANSI Code formate. Thats it. BUT all stock SF2 planes and some fan made SF2 planes use LOD files which most first generation sims cant read, Thatswhy you get the picture spriggs has posted. BUT first generation "WOI Operation Kadesh" can use ALL SF2 planes. Spriggs, if you want to fly the new F-20 in first generation, you must go to ThirdWire page and buy the Operation Kadesh addon for WOI.

    This is correct and wrong at the same time. It depends on the version of the MiG-17. There were MiG-17 with hydraulic boosters for better agility at fast speeds and high altitude.
  5. You must have done something wrong. Normally it is no problem to change the type of plane which is used by a certain air unit.
  6. The Archer is a missile of an other generation. You must compare it with the AIM-9L, and then the Archer is very much better. The german Luftwaffe said in 1991 after testing the R-73, that this was one whole generation ahead to the Sidewinder L. Thatswhy the IRIS-T was developed. Would be strange if the IRIS-T wont be better than the Archer. DAST The big humpback tank of the SMT is no conformal fuel tank like the FAST packs on the F-15. You cant remove it. It is an enlarged tank. The refuel probe can be attached on the SMT, but if i remember right the russian in service SMT have no refuel probe. So it is a possible addon, not a must. The SMT is no newly built plane, it is an upgrate of existing planes The refuel probe became standard with the MiG-29M1 and M2. M1 is the single seater, the M2 the twoseater. The M's have no airinlets in the strakes, so this place is used for additional fueltanks, so that the big humpback of the SMT is gone. And by the way, the SMT is the most ugly MiG-29.
  7. The normal way is to go to download section, look for the correct section and then upload the file there. If you get problems, then ask the admin.

    Do not mix the EU with the Euro. The European Union was and is a great project. Okay it has a lot of problems, but it fullfull its major task: It safes the peace in Europe. It was founded to merge togheter the french and german steel industry, so that no war between this european major powers will happen again. With the inclusion of the BeNeLux contries and Italy it became an economic and political project that became bigger and bigger. In the last time it became to big and to fast. Sorry to say that, but Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Poland etc are not really fit for the EU. Poland, there i may wrong. Its a land on a good way. But the others ... The Euro was one of the "great ideas" of Chancellor Kohl and President Mitterand. To get the french okay for the Reunification of Germany Kohl gave its okay to sacrifice th DM for the Euro. This is not a bad idea, but like the most things Kohl handled, he handled it in the wrong way. The german Reunification is the perfect example how to do a unification of two different states. (Hope the Koreans have learned from this lesson.) And with the Euro it was the same, so contries were invited to come into the Euro Zone which were not fit for this zone. Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the whole club of soft currencies. It would have been much better to start the Euro with a small number of contries of hard currencies, France, Germany and the Benelux contries as core, Austria, Sweden, Finnland in a first expansion wave and then wait a long time, so that the finance policy of the other EU contries could go into the right way, what means smaller depts

    The Euro will survive. No one in Euro zone has a real interesst to let it crash. Maybe some old Mark fans would like to get the old currency back, but to be honest without the Euro we would have had a much worser way through the crisis which came from the US market. It is very interessting, that the hedge fonds (mostly american and british)are attacking only the Euro zone. Other contries have much higher depts or dept ratios (UK, or USA) and nobody is attacking them. The question is why? My guess for the € : $ ratio in the next two month is a range between 1.00 : 1.25 and 1.00 : 1.40.

    Einen 5 Schuß Feuerstoßbegrenzer gab es so weit ich weiß nicht. Wäre ja auch blöd, wenn man plötzlich mehr Mumpeln auf einmal braucht, z.B. um einer Fahrzeugkolonne einzuheizen. Flügelzusatzbehälter hatte die NVA MiG-29 nicht, die sind später bei der BW nachgerüstet worden.

Aber in der Realität gabs weder bei der GScha-301 noch bei der GScha-23 bei der Gefechtsmunition Leuchtspur. Realistisch wärs, wenn man gar nichts sieht, aber im Spiel wäre das ziemlich blöd.

  15. Unfortunatly it is true. I included the allowed missions lines into VietnamSEA.ini, but it does not had an effect. No intercepts possible for single mission.

    -"Normandie-Njemen" a french soviet coproduction from the 60th about the french volunteer pilots of this squadron who fought with Jak fighters during WW2 at the eastern front. - "Memphis Belle" the documentary from WW2 and "Memphis Belle" the movie.

    MiG-21M Fishbed-G (1980) for SFP1, WOI, WOE, WOV ************************************* HISTORY ************************************* In the 60th the MiG OKB developed a recon version of the MiG-21. This bird (MiG-21R) got a bigger tank on the back. Basing on the MiG-21R the soviets developed the MiG-21S, a fighter plane with an improved radar RP-22 and a better weapon system. The S had 4 hardpoints under the wings and the big backtank of the R. But it had no internal gun. For export an simplified version was developed and called MiG-21M. The M looked very similar to the S, but got the old RP-21 radar. Because the costumers demanded an internal gun the MiG-21M got as first plane the GSha-23. On paper the MiG-21M had a good performance. It was twice as efficient in the ground attack role than the older MiG-21 versions and was also able to carry the double number of air to air missiles. But in reality the pilots did not love this bird. The MiG-21M was much heavier than the MiG-21F, PF, PFM (SPS-K) but had the same engine. So the agility of the older planes was lost. In contrary the MiG-21M was a very stable gun plattform. Later in service the MiG-21M was updated a couple of times. It got the protection plates below the side air intakes (Startklappen) which should avoid FOD incidents, but also protect against gun smoke which could harm the engine. In some cases the MiG-21M got the engine of the MiG-21MF. The MiG-21M got the ability to carry twin rail launchers and was updated to carry the missile R-60. The bird in this package is the updated MiG-21M with protection plates, and MiG-21MF engine, but without periscope on the canopy. ********************************************** MiG-21M (1980) for WOE, WOV, WOI, SFP1 credits ********************************************** While making the MiG-21M i used a lot of files made by other modders.   23. That Flak does not appear in game can have different reasons. First, you use the setting EnemyAirDefence=low in single mission screen. Then the game engine is reducing the numbers of Flak and SAM at the terrain. The other reason could be, that to many objects are set at the terrain. There is an upper limit and if you come to this limit the game engine is reducing the numbers of Flak and SAM.

  25. So wie sich die Sache anhört ist die externe Festplatte entweder vollständig oder zumindest teilweise Schrott. Wende Dich an eine kleine Computerbude und frag da nach Hilfe. Kostet zwar ein wenig Geld, aber die sind Spezialisten und können Dir sicher helfen. Bloß nichts selbst versuchen und die Sache verschlimmbessern.
