Stupid thing, that the AI is not able to fly in a Death Star trench. Otherwise it would be a cool scenario. -

Air Force Thinking About an F-7 Light Fighter...
Gepard replied to daddyairplanes's topic in The Pub
Of course it depends on what you want to do with a plane. For COIN a F-7 Red Hawk would be overpowered and not efficent enough. There are better solutions for that task, for instance drones or attack helicopters. But if you want a low cost fighter the F-7 Red Hawk would be good enough. It can do air policing at much lower costs than the 5th gen fighters. You can train pilots, help them to collect flight hours at a much lower price than on a Eurofighter, F-35 or F-22. And you can sell it to countries which have not te money for high end fighters, or have no need for it. It would be the F-5 of our days. -

Do you mean something like this? It's a screenshot of the Saab Draken, with changed flightmodel, which i modded for WOE. But as you see it works for SF2 too. -
Air Force Thinking About an F-7 Light Fighter...
Gepard replied to daddyairplanes's topic in The Pub
A Vulcan gun would be to much for this small bird. To many vibrations, which can cause electronic failures or other system breakdowns. A better choise would be the british ADEN, french DEFA or german BK-27. The best would be the GSh-23, which has enough firepower and cause very few vibrations. An american copy of this gun, in caliber 20 mm, would be the best solution. -

Alderney (WIP), it's still a jpg file. I must convert it to tga, so that waves will be visible. And i must still do a little bit paint shop to blend the Alderney tiles with the sea tiles. -

Guernsey Airport What to hell the danish pilot is thinking? He's parking at the middle of the runway! Okay, was my fault. I made a small typo. Instead of a comma i put a period. Small mistake, big problem. -

Strike missions only target cargo ships?
Gepard replied to TheStig's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Give it a try with NA. If you start a mission at a date, when the enemy has warships, then strike missions are flown against carrier groups or groups of warships. Otherwise the strikes should be directed against warehouses and enemy airfields. -
Strike missions only target cargo ships?
Gepard replied to TheStig's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Kuril Islands terrain is made for SF2NA. Strike missions are to fly against enemy war ship groups. As long there are warships the game engine ignore other targets. What game of SF2 family you have? -
July 2023. Dogfight between philippino FA-50 Golden Eagle and american F-22 Raptor. The result: Okay, it was not a fair test. The Raptor had additional wing fueltanks. But it is impressive, that a low cost lead in fighter came into shooting position. I think it would be time, that someone could make a FA-50 for our community.
