Yes, the BE.2c is flyable - it is available from CA downloads and I should finish the new textures soon-ish. The Halberstadt will be flyable when I finally finish it. Making some aircraft that are parked or undergoing maintenance is an interesting idea. No way can I make over a hundred different types, but I could probably make roughly a dozen generic machines that could be placed around an airfield. Photos show that older aircraft were still used in 1918 for second line duties, so 1916/1917 looks like it might be the "sweet spot" for stage props? Does anyone know if decals can be applied to ground and terrain objects? I doubt it, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

1930s Ground And Terrain Objects
Geezer posted a topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2 File Announcements
File Name: 1930s Ground And Terrain Objects File Submitter: Geezer File Submitted: 03 May 2014 File Category: First Eagles Object Mods Kudos to Wrench! He massaged the basic elements I sent him, and created a complete DL ready to drop into your game folders. He set it up for SF2 but it should work OK for FE2. As usual, pay attention to the ReadMe. This pack does not include airfield figures - they are still in-work so a separate pack will be released when they are complete. The floor of the large hangar is a separate object, similar to the parking ramp. Hopefully, you can tweak the height and angle of these objects if you encounter problems with a game map that is not completely flat and level. Click here to download this file -
Steven 1918 and I are hatching a plot to develop more ground objects. First shot shows WIPs for WW1 AA stuff, plus a balloon winch. I'm also working on ground objects for 1940 desert war airfields and landing grounds.

Thought I'd post an explanation why the 1930s airfield objects include a paved ramp - most airfields were still grass. Even major airfields would only have a paved area in front of hangars or terminals - the "runways" were still grass right out of WW1. See sample photos below. First shot is Shanghai in 1937, and second shot is March Field around 1938.

1930s Ground And Terrain objects

Yes, eventually. I spend a lot more time on textures than most guys, so it takes me a lot longer to finish an aircraft. I want to complete some China war aircraft before completing the Italian aircraft. -
Wrench did an excellent job of repackaging the 1930s ground and terrain objects - unlike the earlier WW1 objects, the 1930s stuff is ready to drop into game folders without a lot of file work. I just uploaded his complete package to CA, and it should be available shortly. This pack does not include airfield figures - they are still in-work and will be released later. Wrench: many thanks!

The 1930s ground objects have been sent to Wrench for test, so I am back working on the Halberstadt. Shots below show start of wing textures. You mean these guys? I've got two of them running ingame - I'll test the remaining two and release them soon.

Haven't really thought about it yet. I plan to eventually make all the aircraft flyable (gamer or AI) and just kinda assumed the aircraft LOD2 files could be used as ground objects? I have no experience at building game maps, so correct me if I am wrong.
