  2. Yes, eventually. I spend a lot more time on textures than most guys, so it takes me a lot longer to finish an aircraft. I want to complete some China war aircraft before completing the Italian aircraft.
  3. View File 1930s Ground And Terrain Objects Kudos to Wrench! He massaged the basic elements I sent him, and created a complete DL ready to drop into your game folders. He set it up for SF2 but it should work OK for FE2. As usual, pay attention to the ReadMe. This pack does not include airfield figures - they are still in-work so a separate pack will be released when they are complete. The floor of the large hangar is a separate object, similar to the parking ramp. Hopefully, you can tweak the height and angle of these objects if you encounter problems with a game map that is not completely flat and level. 4. Wrench massaged some 1930s airfield objects, and created a DL pack that will drop right into SF2 folders. While intended for an FE2 China war mod, the objects are also suitable for many WW2 airfields. I've uploaded the pack to the DL section and it should be available later today.

  6. Wrench did an excellent job of repackaging the 1930s ground and terrain objects - unlike the earlier WW1 objects, the 1930s stuff is ready to drop into game folders without a lot of file work. I just uploaded his complete package to CA, and it should be available shortly. This pack does not include airfield figures - they are still in-work and will be released later. Wrench: many thanks!

  8. The 1930s ground objects have been sent to Wrench for test, so I am back working on the Halberstadt. Shots below show start of wing textures. You mean these guys? I've got two of them running ingame - I'll test the remaining two and release them soon.

  12. Haven't really thought about it yet. I plan to eventually make all the aircraft flyable (gamer or AI) and just kinda assumed the aircraft LOD2 files could be used as ground objects? I have no experience at building game maps, so correct me if I am wrong.

I am working on the ground objects right now just to move them out the door. When done, I intend to concentrate on aircraft: I'll complete the Halberstadt D.V, and then move on to the 1930s aircraft.
  14. This shot illustrates how a lot of the 1930s stuff could also be used in SF2 for WW2 themes.
  15. The Japanese trucks for the 1930s ground objects are nearly done, and will go to Wrench for testing this week. Found my old notes from several years ago and discovered I had misidentified the Japanese tanker and starter truck chassis - its a Toyota KC, not an Isuzu TX40.
  16. gterl and quack75: I just uploaded a revision to WW1 Airfield Figures that SHOULD contain the missing files - I hope!
  17. The 1930s ground objects are nearly done - I hope to send them to Wrench for testing this week. Also, I've posted revisions to all of the WW1 ground object DLs that should - hopefully - correct the missing artwork problems. In one case, the .bmp files were present but the path links to the LODs were bad. In a perfect world, this stuff would have been developed in a coherent, systematic manner. In reality, it is a hodgepodge collection of stuff developed over several years so some of the links were obsolete.
  18. All three WW1 packs - airfield objects, airfield figures, and maintenance objects - have been revised to include missing files, or files with incorrect paths linking them to artwork. Hopefully, this fixes problems with the first releases. Let me know if you guys discover any more oversights.
  19. Thanks for catching that. I just uploaded a revision with new Barracks and Base Ops LODs that are linked to their respective artwork .bmp files.
  20. Thanks for catching that. I just uploaded a revision that should solve the problem.
