  1. I would check and make sure all your drivers are up to date, this includes graphics, sound, and BIOS.
  2. Hello All, Long story short, I can't get anything on the HUD except a gunsight. Anything jump out that I should check first. Spiff
  3. Without it in front of me, I'm assuming you're describing the template, but I have no experience using them. Thanks for the info and I'll check it out. Spiff
  4. First off, I don't have a pit like that; but Svetlin was on because I had the F14avionics.dll listed. Changed that to 70 problem solved; I'm running merged SF2:VEI NOV 2011. Second, I wanted to ask someone to explain what FC was talking about in the 2.2 readme when he mentioned the canopyglass.tga being used to define hud color; how do you do that? Third, I get a strange graphics glitch on the bugs; the backs of some of the weps pylons and the hole for the cannon have like the old TV static in black and gray on them and it's moving; 2.2 seems to have fixed the pylons but the nose is still there when the light shines in; just FYI. I thought it was tied to the spinning engine animation but have not investigated it further. Last, thanks and the bugs are great as always, forgot to mention I'm just using the F model right now. 5. Not that this hasn't been said before, I've been flying the Block 50/52 pack and they are slick. The Greek F-16D skin looks great, is there one from Poland hiding somewhere? FYI, there are some errors in the loadout for the F-16 CM 50/52, ASQ-213_AAQ-33 is listed for some of the chin station entries, I guess it's just supposed to be F-16_AAQ-33. Look forward to flying some of the others. Spiff
  6. Hello all, To all the mod makers out there, what's the minimum patch level required to run some of the newer stuff, for example, the new vipers and Stary's mig pits, without SF2NA? Trying to get an idea what everyone's using as their standard. Also what you're using with SF2NA merged. Thanks, Spiff
  7. Greetings, I've seen some discussions comparing TMF F-14 and TK's A model and I want to know which model is better at physically capturing the F-14A? Me, I look at the MF phoenix rails and they seem a little off to me (a little too smooth, an F-14 guru would know). I mention that because it seems like a glaring omission to me when everyone gives it such high praise. That is a nitpick, but everyone has their own definition of quality. The cockpits, . . . ,every artist/modeller has their own style. Fly'em both. Spiff
  8. Hey, has anyone done a SF2 conversion for the Sea Harrier FRS2? Spiff
  9. What's new with the cockpit framing? Are we talking inside or outside the pit? Cool little jet. Spiff

  12. Tomcat_ace, I think someone already tried it and was unhappy with the results because the data.ini edits are there. The two pods are not large enough to cover the one. I think MF would have to remove the single pod from the model and then it would work, but I don't how quick or easy that job would be. . . good luck; and modifying the original MF F-14A will leave you with the correct nose pod but the wrong engine nozzles. I don't think there's any way to hide it with data.ini edits in the exterior view, has to be done in max. Spiff

Thanks, pieces just fell together. Spiff

Just added some decals and touched-up the .bmps some to give the plane a more complete look. See the readme. Skin is the original lo-vis grey; attached pic is edited, but I liked it.

    Version

    899 downloads

This is an update to the SF2 conversion of Florian's Mirage 2000D started by pablitoVPT and EricJ. This is a complete aircraft. Main reason for this update is a new flight model for hard setting with some minor updated avionics and weapons/loadout. Currently flying it in a merged install SF2E, DEC 2009. Your mileage may vary with other SF2 titles/installs. See the readme for details. Spiff
  17. SF2 Israel F-16I SUFA

    Version

This is a simple conversion of the F-16I SUFA for SF2 ISRAEL only. A cockpit is not included, it uses the stock F-16A Netz pit, if you have the know-how to add another pit, go for it. It's converted for SF2 Israel though, and not tested elsewhere. It's a drag and drop installation; see the readme for details. Spiff

  20. Anyone tell me which model(s) in the pack have those red stripes on the inside of the vert tails? I'm not seeing them. Thanks. Spiff
  21. Anyone know which one contains the F-16 initial files? Spiff
  22. F-15 A/B/C/D Baz Super Pack (Version 1.11)

What model/version in the pack is pictured above? Spiff
  23. Thanks FC, I have a follow-up question: what's considered Thirdwire property? I know LODs are and skins, but what about complete data.initial files? I wanna use stock flight models for a few aircraft (using their mach table numbers) and upload them; I know this is done but should it really be allowed? (another question) Anything I'm missing here feel free to educate me. Spiff
  24. Just the bottom one has lights on and the top one might be leaking something near the vert tail? other than that I got nothing
  25. File Name: SF2 TOMCAT Update Pack File Submitter: Spiff File Submitted: 22 Feb 2010 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Weapons For those who have not done this already, this is a small user friendly pack for SF2 to add Ravenclaws nose camera to the A/B/D models and flaviodutra's drop tanks and weapon rails. It is a drag and drop installation with some data.ini edits spelled out in the readme. All credit goes to Ravenclaw and flaviodutra. I think it improves the external model of the MF F-14A, but I'll let you be the judge. Read the included readme before you attempt the mod. Spiff Click here to download this file
