some questionable pilots lately,,
Chamo replied to ONETINSOLDIER's topic in Military and General Aviation
I surely would not but this guy... -
Holy Jesus! I hope they make it as it looks, because it looks good. (And I won't take a bad HL movie, that's for sure).

If it's a shortcut, check that it leads to the correct place.

Hi there! Recently, I moved from SFP1 to Free Falcon 5 (I think someone posted a link to this game) and now I'm depressed because I don't know how to use anything in the F-16C cockpit, and I don't understand most of the comm. but, after hearing "we lost one" I could understand "Foxtrot Uniform"... Is that some sort of coordinates for the SAR or simple slang like "Sierra Hotel"? Fly safe!

Hi! Ok, I'm not any kind of expert, but for one GB of Video RAM, the quality of textures shouldn't be the problem (It should load them all), but since clouds are "transparent" in the edges, the high workload of transparency Anti-Alias may be what slows your frame rate. If you can lower the transparency AA (or general AA) you may get better FPS but the cost is that the edges won't be puffy and will get a kind off "stairs". Again I'm not an expert... but try and see... you have nothing to loose (except 1-2 mins).

He's still with us. Only that He's both six feet underground and watching from above.

In my opinion, you should get Intel's. It has a good range for overclocking so It won't get old for some time (2-3 Years based on Moore's law, which is a wide time span). AMD's has six cores, but based on the reviews, it's just an ol' Phenom II X4 with two more cores. One of my friends has an i7 950 past the 4GHz line so yours could handle 3.5. I'm talking about overclocking, of course. Nevertheless, I have always loved Intel's chips, so wait for a AMD-sided mate to post, so you can compare.

The UllyB mega-uberthread
Chamo replied to UllyB's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I recommend you to point your nose a little bit in front of your target (Of course I mean more than you would normally do<-This has a name, but I don't remember it) and once you have him stop pulling on the stick and let out a burst. (Guns jam a lot less at low Gs) -

Wow patriotic pilots. If I had to jump from that height without a chute the only thing exiting my mouth would be "F**********ck!!" all the way down to the ground.

A while ago, I found a very useful app for engineers, physicists... But seeing the wide range of units that have to be converted to the Strike fighters (and other sims) engine standards, I would like to recommend it here. The most useful units to convert (as far as I know) for modding are: Speed: It has all the units I've ever heard of (Including MACH number If you enter air temperature) Torque, Power, Mass, Length, Fuel consumption, Acceleration... all of them with lots of units to convert to. This app is called "MultiConvert" and I think it would be a nice addition to you app library. Webpage: http://www.kreativekorp.com/software/mcii/ Available for Windows, Mac, iPod/iPhone, Java console... Sorry if tis looks like advertising, I just want to give lots of features.

This is perfect! I mean; it's the world's best performing aircraft... UPDATED! But I would add 3D thrust vectoring for complete dominance. In the other hand, don't you think the bay doors are slow? In the video it looks impressive because it's a long range BVR launch. But in a close dogfight, In the need for a quick Sidewinder launch it would be necessary to keep the bay open or to wait for it to open.

Lockheed A-12 Cygnus
Chamo replied to X RAY's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Fantastic! I always wanted an Sr-71 for SF, but the A-12 is even faster! I have one question, how do you show the mach number in the screen? My "grey square thing" only shows Knots... -

Hi! Well, I'm not very good at computers, but as far as I know, W7 uses DirectX 11. Maybe your sim is not compatible with DX11 (or windows 7), or maybe you havent installed DX11. I see you're using an nVIDIA, in the driver downloading page make sure you've chosen Windows 7 as the OS... Well... good luck.

Fantastic Aircraft! I love the A version. The radar is just so smooth. Handles perfectly. Auto bay doors. There is a problem with the GAU not installing correctly, but easy to solve. In the B version the STOVL is written perfectly. This is a must have add on. The thing I'll add (bad thing I don't know how to) is more function for the cockpit's LCDs like the EF-2000.
