Trying to put this into Strike Fighters 2.....
Gespenst posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
*hopefully ripped models are allowed* Since I loved the plane SO MUCH but sadly the game (Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk) was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lame and obscure, I think this deserve a better place in Strike Fighters 2 instead.... I'm still a noob at modding....currently still learning from Mustang's tutorial videos and Thirdwire's 3DS Max Exporter Notes -

Loved the second one.

Here's something worth waiting: http://www.moddb.com/games/vector-thrust http://time-symmetry.com/ The alpha video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=R1wwRBYns5g (I know there are something quite wrong with the flight physics, even for an arcade ones. But they said that they've fixed it already) I know this is the exact opposite of simulator (alias fully arcade), but at least, the devs have claimed it to be completely moddable, from the planes, loadouts, missions, and even campaign structure (if it's eventually possible, the dev will also bring dynamic campaign system there). The planned Alpha release will come 'soon enough'

http://time-symmetry.com/2012/03/15/report-14-sneak-peek/ Guess which Fulcrum variants will make it.
-
The devs have promised it. It should be present soon enough. Also, the next report teaser: Still waiting for the playable demo, though :\
-
Found it in their Moddb/Indiedb page instead More facts about this game: Custom skin is already supported It supports prop planes and organic models as well! About the campaign, take-off and landing, etc The cockpit view hopefully will be available to all aircraft in its alpha release.

Any way to reduce the loading time?
Gespenst posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I found that the loading time is somewhat too long, especially if there are many mods around (esp. while Nato Fighters 4-only SF2E mod, the mission loading is extremely long, about 3 minutes, while I put 20 to 30 mods in SF2Ex2, and the load time seems to be more normal, and if I try to put Ordnance Shop II mod there, the pre-main menu loading time will be even longer.). Any way to reduce the loading time of modded SF2? Thanks. Here's my laptop spec BTW: Intel® Pentium® CPU P6200 @ 2.13GHz 2.00 GB DDR3 RAM NVIDIA GeForce 310M Windows 7 32-bit -
Fun fact: I have the Chuck Norris game for mobile phone (made by Gameloft), and his Roundhouse Kick animation takes up most of the game's package.
-
Eh? If you read their main blog (http://time-symmetry.com/), they said that it's very possible to mod new aircraft.
-
Plus, they said that the ground units can be made playable. Also: Is it me or it looks similar to...that in Strike Fighters? :\

Do increasing RAM helps anyway? :\ -
Molten Sky - New game about 5 gen fighters in development.

Tried it. The instruments somewhat reminds me to LOMAC (press numeric keys to change radar mode), but the flight controls looks like Ace Combat/HAWX novice mode (no roll). -
Okay, for those who have the weapon issue in SF2, here's my tips: -Put every folders in the \weapons folder into the usual Objects\Weapons folder -Copy the lines from the weapondata.txt into the weapondata.ini as instructed -Open Weapons Editor, click Import/Merge -Select the weapondata.ini from previous step -You should able to see some KF2- weapons in the list Try to run the game afterwards, it should shows up in the loadout screen. Works for me. Superb plane, BTW.
