daddyairplanes replied to GKABS's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
on the one hand i'd say but you have to buy those on the other, i'd point out that its $5.99. some folks out there pay more each morning for their coffee. aaaaand now i gotta wonder if we have any PRANG skins for the C model....... -

are you talking a fresh model, or looking at adjusting the H-60 model floating around here from angelP? as to FM's talk to guruu or yakarov79. theyre the resident rotary experts and if you made a non DAT H-47..... the Z-9 would be wickked too since its just a few steps to make a Dauphin from there.... -

not what have you done, what do you intend to do? if your not going to do anything then it may be best to delete all jpgs from that folder and let teh game read its version. again, all other mods of this ship i've seen were ini edits only as to version, i cant speak to any CAT unpack issues with that. i got mine in the original form a decade ago plus the DLCs that interested me, and never went for the full up version. -
MiG Mondays - But Read the Rules First

i was having a discussing about teh whole "do not fire unless fired upon" schtick that you see in movies. personally, i dont ever recall seeing that in real life. if you observe actions that reasonably demonstrate the other guy is going to try to hurt you, you can engage like the USS Higbee in '72. i dont know teh ROE at that time, but one can assume VPAF fighters coming out over the water and towards your ship are not coming to say hi.... should have gave teh wingman the rockets. he missed and two pods of 57mm evidently werent enough to sink the Yankee pirates....- 284 replies

SF2NA USS California showing up with black texture

additional question: what is the nature of your install? full 5 plus 2 merged? Europe or Vietnam only? the $99 all up edition? -

new question: what are you doing that requires the jpgs? there are several mods of the CGN-36, but i couldnt find one has any images. they were all ini edits. if youre not doing something to the images try leaving them out -

delete the file, re extract from CAT it does say file is corrupted in the screenies you post. the jpg not showing in large icon view is another clue to that and im willing to bet the file size is 0kb or at least much much much smaller than the other jpgs -
requirement on this one is to have Super in the name. Super Sabre is ok, Superfortress is ok, kicking off with l'Aéronavale ... fusil cabane doubling back for a visual confirmation

will you be including NAS Glenview, Midway Airport and O'Hare International? all airfields in Chicago, O'Hare and Glenview with military presence as well. really great if you add Miegs Field. now closed, it was a small field on a peninsula (almost an island though) in Lake Michigan. mostly light civil aviation, it was (barely) capable of landing a 727 though so medium cargo and fighters should be no prob -
ok, so i'll quit clogging up the overall screenie thread with F-16s. over 4600 built. 43 years of service. over major 25 operators. there should be some variety here i'll start this show off mile high...

this actually impacted me directly, although in a minor way in 2001, the Army went to the black beret for all Soldiers. but it was discovered that many of the ones purchased for issue were sourced from China. That obviously wouldnt do after this incident. Alternate sources were found, but there wasnt enough for every Soldier to have one on 14 Jun 2001. amongst the Soldiers that had to wait were us in USAEUR (Germany). we did not get our berets until February the next year. all because of an overly aggresive Chinese jet pilot! -------------- ok end of obscure history lesson, heres a screenie -
So the challange here is to NOT shoot the other aircraft down. Like an airliner in distress, or a nosy Bear peeking at the battle group. to kick off, Eastern seems to be really lost and Nordo. hopefully they get the hint to follow back to SEATAC...

i dunno. i see no escorts, and a fire coming out the middle of the deck like that means damage bad enough to possible knock weapon systems off line (ie reactor issues). but a Badger isnt the best for that all the same.. --------------- UTA 993 on approach for Tampa International.... -
in the spirit of the other themed days, post your big ones, your jumbos, anything bigger than a fighter sized breadbox. Wednesdays only (sorry bout starting so late, was at work until now

that almost looks like when an Intruder shot its nav half way out are there any entries in the cockpit ini that need adjusting (presuming you've played with the data ini)? are you working in the right folder? not being mean, it happens and can take awhile to figure out -
