ok google and airliner.net photo searches indicate this wont be too bad a beast to mark up other than a couple hundred serials. wing squadron and flight commanders appear to be indicated by stripes like they did back then, so those tie to the serials. black around cockpit should be on skin and just the SAC and unit sashes on the nose. now a few questions @anyone: most of what i see indicates wing markings rather than squadron marking like whats going on with the Lockheed heavy haulers. shall assume to add those to the squadronlist. ini as such? @Dave could use anything reference you got on digits. will use joe baughers site for serials but need to know who flew waht and white anti flash or no and when @Veltro: would you consider at least one RB version? despite the fun of nuking things, for the realism nuts THAT would be cool as they were the ones that actually saw combat IRL -

Fubar, if you annoy the neighbors enough, the police will always sieze your shit back to Dave and on topic, so ya gonna mod the whole airframe or fakepilot different models up? -

big part of why i dont volunteer right now for skins. all nat metal, the Starlifter turned out the best. of course the DC-10 has been a devil skin since i started working with it as a KC-10, but the 767 is a one tile skin too and it didnt turn out bad. just not shiny. but you've seen what i can do with tga everything but the white on the skin my friends so stickers is my strong point back on topic, willing to decal this puppy up at the least. if some interested party has a good reference on units it would help but i am handy enough with a search engine if need be. -
its about the deed not the citation and those he saved i'm sure hold him in higher regard than any approving authority for the awards

RC-135 Anyone?
daddyairplanes replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
probably two or three most common (funny thing to say about such a rare bird). correction from earlier, later marks would need the CFM engines as found on Veltro's E-3D. have a conversion of that taking off the radome, ifp and wingtip pods. earlier versions could use the 707. again would just need a fake pilot add on. or would it be easier for a modeller to do a whole bird from scratch? -

hey Dave, got a B-47 Units of the Cold War reference handy? i can get markings on that bird, would like to see if anyone else can do the shiny natural metal though before attempting to tackle th skin itself this would be a by wing affair for markings or possibly squadron level. gawd thatll be alot of units............. -
RC-135 Anyone?
daddyairplanes replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
could be used for missions sort of like in TSF, as a "the Soviets are attacking the..". but for the amount of usefulness in game, would take the 707 model and fakepilot the antennea and pods on rather than a whole new model -

F-4 Rocket loadout
daddyairplanes replied to jborelli's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
there are ways to cheat it out, but usually at the expense of something else. Killerbee and Crazyhorse had done some work in bringing 3 pod setups. without diving too far into it it mostly appears to be a matter of ini editing where the rockets will all sit. alot of attachment points when you get t o the 19 shot pods -

open up, and tell us where you're from -
only big nitpicks i had was them calling Wardaddy "Top" whe nhe was a SSG (unless i get some more back story there) and when the last batch of Germans are marching, every third one had a Panzerfaust, yet half way through the night they are uncrating their last five. all in all it was a great movie though and i'm waiting impatiently for its release on dvd. and in my experience Crazyhorse most small sections together longer than a month are close like that, and we aint heroic. we just get the job done whatever it is.

Lost a brother today, Sgt Daniel R Marut. He was medically retired after 15 years and 3 tours across the water. Ny wife and i went to visit him and found him dead, while we are awaiting the results of the investigation, he probably passed of a heart attack somewhere around Tuesday. To boot his dog was inside and appears to have damaged half of his face. Really bad bad day in my house, thankfully only my wife and i saw him and not the girls.
