Good job killing the Tom with Lightnings! One Tom quite frankly was worth your whole flight, tho not good to lose your wingmen however retarded they all like to act. -

737
daddyairplanes replied to russouk2004's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Ok if you do a 737 also, we HAVE to get some civilian airports in game Also Veltro let me know if you do proceed. Im workin heavies the rest of the year, more skins right now for your Starlifter and Galaxy, then on to the 767, 747 and hopefully 707. Figured out a decent way to tga several airlines to one skin (so long as you dont want serial numbers) and should have a good collection of tga to adjust by time our done. Would be a good addition to the CRAF at least for NA, as well as regional jets in Europe, American Southwest all mid east terrains -
The 5 Coolest Things Ever Said In The History of War
daddyairplanes replied to Dave's topic in The Pub
"I come in peace, I didn't bring artillery. But I am pleading with you with tears in my eyes: If you fuck with me, I'll kill you all. Marine General James Mattis, to Iraqi tribal leaders "Do not attack the First Marine Division. Leave the yellowlegs alone. Strike the American Army." Orders given to Communist troops in the Korean War; shortly afterward, the Marines were ordered to not wear their khaki leggings. They told (us) to open up the Embassy, or "we'll blow you away." And then they looked up and saw the Marines on the roof with these really big guns, and they said in Somali, "Igaralli ahow," which means "Excuse me, I didn't mean it, my mistake". Karen Aquilar, US Embassy Mogadishu 1991 -

No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making some other poor dumb bastard die for his country. In case of doubt, attack. Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and let them suprise you with their ingenuity. (How did i beat Crazyhorse to these?) -

ok no worries. didnt think it was a 767 due to the flatter engine. but teh only plane i could think of with that style engine was a 737, and that would not be it! FRED gets fitted for a new suit................... Todays weather brought to you by our excellent Polish weatherman ... -
some observations... -England has said Scotland doesn't get to use the pound if they break away -the EU has said that Scotland would have to reapply for membership independently -ndicki was working on something about the breakup of the UK around 5 years back -might not just be Cessna's and helos. How much would they keep, esp since assets such as Faslane can't just pick up and move. there would be give and take as the RN would likely seek to maintain the same bases at lease or negotiation. -very good queston on other parts of Europe. part of Russia's justification for assisting South Ossettia was the recognition of indepence in Kosovo. slippery slopes and unintended consequences may be teh order if they vote independence and finally, LA, DC, NYC wont break away. they need the rest of the country to fund their hijinks!

McDonnel Douglas DC-10-30
daddyairplanes replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
The inspiration for the formation ini came from Reforger and RSR. esp in RSR when Keflavik turns back all the inbounds due to the attack. If one desires 1 ship, remove the formation ini, or load as such in mission editor. Removing the formation ini will default the formation to Transport role and be single. As was the case in the real ODS, and would have been the case in REFORGER, many airliners would have been used to get people and any thing not needing a ship to move. Return flights early on would have been hauling civilians and dependents. Hence the trail of aircraft -

No nuetral. There is an airliner nation in this mod. Put it in to make an addition to the formation ini so a stream of 10 is spread in a line over 10 miles or so. If one makes a RedAirline, you could have Aeroflot, and other warpac or arab airlines. How ever THAT is not in this mod at this time. -

The airliner nation is for them to show up in game when the game feels like putting them in (or you use mission editor to plug em in) Again, when the game wants to,, thry will show on the tarmac like in the main screen shot. As for a civilian airport that take a 3d modeler to make the terminal and a terrain guru to set parking slots at yhe gates. It would be allowed, but i dont know if anyone is interested right now. Maybe when i get the next three airliners done -

Who reads Japanese?

you could read the japanese. just not well enough to know what your reading. besides, years of Godzilla movies and Hasegawa or Fujimi models have taught you nothing? -

daddyairplanes replied to EricJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Kyot, the only slatted Navy Phantoms were the S's, introduced in 1978-79 and mostly going to the Marines at that. Naval reserves used the S from 83-86 and VF-151 and 161 used them. VF-21 and 154 flew the S for one year but the N was found to handle better around the Coral Sea. Do, the Phantom never was the best at anything it did. It strength was its ability to do anything asked of it (intercept, cas, strike, SEAD, recce, CAP) and its literal strength that brought many a crew home where other planes would be lost. Just a historical two cents to throw in. -
haven't seen the show (not much time and Disney Channel tends to be the main thing on cable) but from what i've read on the show plot vs reading the book many moons ago i should hope the plots dont match. kinda hard for most in the 2014 audience to relate to global thermonuclear war. Fubar, it sucks getting old. i was gonna say 15 years ago but know i read it during the year my dad got out the army, putting it squarely around '93. just dawned on me that that isnt 15 years ago............
