    this is a batch of squadron, wing and other patches i've used in the last year to enhance some of my mods. all are named for the unit they represent, names will likely have to be changed in your own mods to fit what you're doing. feel free to use them on skins or tga. as the title implies, these are Cold War era markings. where i could find and or as applies, they will say TACTICAL Fighter Squadron. these are not just knockoffs from Wikipedia's title page for the different units. no readme, if i have copied someone elses file and not credited please let me know. however i am 99.9% certain this is all me phishing Google images over the course of a year.     generally the Vipers would carry CBU, being the more manueverable platform, while the Phantoms would carry the HARMs. they had the abiltiy to reprogram in flight IIRC,while the Vipers would carry HARMs preset for specific threats if they carried. also IIRC the Weasels were flying escort for BUFFs towards the end when the threats were negligible and it was time to pound on the Republican Gaurd

    the 52d TFW integrated F-4E (as killers) and F-4G (as hunters) into a super "Weasel Wing" in the 80's. when the E model was swapped for Vipers, the practice continued. the G was better at finding the threats (some would say still is) but was limited on ordinance esp if it carried the bags of gas needed for useful range/loiter time. the Viper could carry more HARMs or other ordinance and go kill what the Weasel found.

  16. More semi realistically, why not Slammers on the outboard pylons? Esp in the 90s the Rhinos strength would have been as a BVR platform, presuming you applied the German ICE updates to the USAF models

    Get NA and if youre a Phanatic, the DLC F-4N. Then there are many more carrier birds and skins here on site

  22. hey Rends, caught this pic flying out of your Rhein Main... which leads to the question... any chance of adding Frankfurt IAP to this terrain? or changeing Rhein Main as they were right across the runway from eachother? DC-10s should be done NLT next week and I have a few other airliners to give this treatment to. i make the airline markings tga and list them as serial numbers so you get the plethora that you see here. just a thought for even more realism, as the civi birds would still be there in wartime (probably pressed into service to help transport even)
  23. twas just my typical smart assed humor folks. i read enough cooments that could have been answered in readmes and even gotten many questions in the same category. Eric, you're not gonna like me. i have several projects in the works after getting F-4S done. thats priority (been workin it 7 months now) but want incorporate some changes to the Hercs and Sentrys based of techniques from the Extender, as well as redoing the C-5 and -141. all of which can plug in NF5, ODS and even your NA expansion for much eyecandy. not to mention new hobby of airliners (think CRAF)
  24. just how long has FC been flying for FedEX? Soon offering service from Stockholm to...... what the hell is the capital city of Dhimar? 2 to 5 more skins for this bird depending on my patience and motivation. then we can has more eyecandyz.........
  25. Not right now, tho possibly later. Got a lot on the plate driven by historical accuracy. Will shoot ya some ideas i've had for a while now of Dhimar going the simple aircraft/self suficient route. Mirages would be a must for that due to the French loving to sell to those the US won't. But so would Zippers as many European countries would trade oil for parts...
