  1. well it should be adaptable to SF2 using the old tricks, but that would be for personal use only. I believe YAP doesnt even allow you to post mods on their skins and ini's or we would have seen more here.
  2. still somewhat time consuming but less than using the eraser, why not get the number of dashes and spacing set written normal then rotate the layer to the desired angle?
  3. I dont think its that no one gives a damn. To be the one hmfic for this could be alot for one members plate. Perhaps a board of editors, so that the one who has the time can take it, but not the same person all the time.
  4. youtube is also a good place to find tutorials. esp for PS6, but stands to reckon that they would have PS4 as well.
  5. couple more. just wrapping up modex and trying to get one additional piece of info.....
  6. lots of good advice since i last chimed in. Gimp is good and does do some things better than PS. i prefer it to work on decals, but prefer PS for all but the quickest simplest skin work. something about being able to see the layers themselves rather than the border around the whole pic. as with anything in life it takes time and practice. making the templatesyourself can be done, you might just question your sanity and choice of hobby in the process (i was starting to make very basic panel lines for the C-141, then i discovered Veltro had a template for it). if you can get templates from site or the original creator, by all means do so, it will make your life easier. and as always. its about the work smarter not harder.
  7. Hey Geary, what are you looking to skin? There are many templates in the SF1 d/l section and given your taste in planes it might be available
  8. in PS6, it is color range in the select options. the window that opens will allow you to select a couple of colors, but i dont have the time today to set up a screenie and show what i'm talkin about. will try to have something for you tomm morning if no one else demo's before then.
  9. make a new layer off of your background. then select by color all of the colors you want gone but try not to select any black as this will likely also select your panel lines. it will take time and patience and be a royal pain in the .... when you have the colors gone save the layer as panel lines. more so you don't forget what you have and also save as a psd file so you can do what ever you want later w/o having to reinvent the wheel. for the skinning PS4 will help you more than Gimp, as i have PS6 and Gimp myself. if you still have my email, hit me up there or in PM here if you need more specific help. just remember i dont have home internet so i might be a day or so in replying until i get to school or my inlaws house.
  10. Unless you are purposely installing to seperate folders you are merged. You have to do abit more than click ok/next to seperate them.
  11. and grass coming thru esp for red air lol
  12. It is a commonly asked question round here so why not had a thread dedicated to the answers? to start anyone know the name for the windscreen frame on the TW Phantoms as well as the LE flaps on the outer wing? but i would hope we can clean up some space by posting all such questions in one thread rather than the millions out there currently. TIA for answers an contributing (by posting the question here)
  13. well it's been awhile since i last posted some Bee Line Phantoms soooo......... does anyone know of a good terrain for an Eagle Claw campaign? course still need a Coral Sea and a RH-53 as well.....
  14. QF-16C

prob never. by the time they are ready to be drones it will likely be a mostly drone force, not as much need for the software to practice.....
  15. On the announcements also depends on how often you work a particulsr install, i've been working two installs specific to naval Phantoms so not so much. But i go onto my SF2E or regular SF2 install and ..... NEW DLC CONTENT AVAILABLE!!! Ugh.....
  16. just put screenies to abunch of mine. funny how they disappear off of your own files list while waiting for approval. waiting on two of my files due to impending upgrades to the files themselves not just new screenies
  17. Misrepresented

I hadn't heard anything of the sort, but by your reputation wouldn't believe you to do anything like that. I fell victim to the whole too many downloads in a day bit, tho compared to any other FREE site, his conditions are ridiculous. Can the NSA start checking DAT out?
  18. if you're doing a historical, google a bunch of images. i'm about to do that for Naval reserve F-4Ns. do one search specific and one broad (QF-4B "such and such unit" and QF-4B or "such and such unit) you'll be suprised. to match colors i use the color picker then shift RGB values around abit til i like the match. as for tank templates i dont remember there being any. i just blanked the color and left the lines (more of a pain than it sounds) but never was smart enough to keep the psd's for that. that or just color swap the areas that need it. not the exact info you want but hopefully helpful
  19. Thought EricJ had a desert scheme with a similar pattern. Don't remember if it was TW though....
  20. Kosovo/Serbia?

Agree with hrc, the albanian side loves the west (or at least did in 2000). The serbian side not soo much. I was deployed to Camp Bondsteel but still got to interact with the locals alot more than in Iraq or Afghanistan. By your pic could i assume the same location for you?
  21. here is F-4N templates. based on the B so should work with renaming. just get rid of the dark rectangle on the _1 JPEG as that is specifically for the N's DECM. unless you are workin on some N's. in that case i am working on 1977 and later. Sundowners templates, my minor tweeks for a N. enjoy. and the ini's are part of me organizing my project. use if you want or use your own. edit: removed file.
  22. last cruise for the Rosie....... would any shipbuilders be so kind as to arrange for some Midways? Roosevelt was CV-42.....
