How to...
daddyairplanes replied to amariani's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
umm in theory the same as adding friendly aircraft. however it may take more than just that given the confusion it could create. i believe Suhsjake was working on a Red flyable campaign for the NF series sometime back. he may be a good one to ask if hes still active. otherwise look in the Knowledge Base the is a thread on adding aircraft to a campaign and give that a try. hope this helps -

F-14C Tomcat
daddyairplanes replied to Spinners's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
yes on the USAF considering the Tom, as they were forced to by Congress. but buzz numbers were done by that point in time. as to the Tomcat in AF plummage, i made a model when i was in Kosovo of a Tomcat in Illinois ANG markings(my home state) with Phoenixes mounted. Painted similar to the F-16 ADF. so i fully agree with it. as to the Illinois ANG, something to consider Mr Spinners see how i get all nice when i would like something? -

if i remember right there was some talk by a senator of giving Iran's undelivered Tomcats to the guard in just such a capacity. of course they went to the Navy instead. sourse would have been a better home for the old warbirds than AMARC me thinks........... -

i completely understand bro. good luck on job hunting and keep the faith, something will pop up your way eventually. -
really not to mention that the 'winder seeker head is still considered ordinance and a big no-no to sell. even a early generation detection system, going the other route, would still kinda piss off the Navy if they found out it was being sold. my take away, this show and these people are NOT near any bases as they clearly do not know how to sell military items!

Updated Information on ALL current Projects?
daddyairplanes replied to ace888's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
ok maybe i read a bit too much into your post. i have seen several threads locked up lately (KAW, Buccaneer) due to constant questions about the status of them. i apologize fer snapping at you. shouldn't post when R/L has me grumpy anyhow. @ wrench thankyou for the updates. kinda figured OTC was close with all the screenies you've been posting and thats the first i've heard on KAW since Dave said stop askin! -

what is the dinosaur your speakin of? if you have vista or newer SF2 is much better. i believe it even works on XP tho dunno how well. hell im runnin a compaq presario c700 laptop so you know im not exactly state of the art here and i get way better operation than i did Gen1 on my XP machine or on here. not to mention the filepaths for the mods got simple enough this noob could get into it and not botch his installs. as for wives, i understand that. two and a half years into Gen2 being out and i'm about to finally have the full merged install. think thats when TK will release SF Tomcat! -

cool info on the skins. won't make them go away in the loadout screen but as it says it sets the default for what comes up first. any way to make a skin vanish outside its assigned years(the way a F-4D_78 wont show in '77 )? -
i have a f*(%ing dream! that one day the $%#%#@% snakes will get off my #@%#$%# plane!

why was it honorable? there are tales throughout the early years of military aviation of airmen in amazing survival situations. your chap could have been one of those! -

daddyairplanes replied to ace888's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
dude that is seriously rude in tone and in asking. those that stopped posting stopped due to R/L issues or cause they got bugged by the constant questions. they will be out in due time. as the old saying goes in two weeks. (figure of speech not a real 14 day period.) if you were in touch with specific people about projects PM them otherwise wait patiently like the rest of us out here. -

just got done reading Firebreak by Richard Hermann and realized that the 45th didn't just fly Phantoms outta Rats Ass. they also converted to Mud Hens and were still stationed at RAF Stonewood. if your interested another unit featured by that author is the 303d FS (FW?) AFRES outta Whiteman flyin the A-10. slated for deactivation the wind up formin the basis for a new AVG in China. this is not a request, but i've been reading the books again and then saw the 45th's squadrons today while loadin up a mission. (got then loaded in my squadron list ) thought i might mention it.
