NF-5 wing tanks help
daddyairplanes posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
hello again all. i am workin a personal project (poss for later release) trimming ravenclaws NF-5 down from 16 some skins to 4 skins with decalled units and trying to make the different schemed tanks like the F-4 tanks where they have the tanks skins in the aircrafts skin folders and show automatically correct color tank with correct color aircraft. the problem today is the tanks are not showing in game!!!! i downloaded the NF-5 mod fresh at the start of the month after patching to Sep2011. i am running full merge both Exp packs and slightly flustered. i have also noticed there is a data ini but no object ini for the tanks. i tried making one example as follows [WeaponData] ObjectFullName=41.6 Gal Green Camo ObjectDataFile=NF_TKLW1_data.INI [LOD001] Filename=NF_TKLW1.lod Distance=100 [shadow] CastShadow=TRUE ShadowCastDist=6000 MaxVisibleDistance=100 the current goal is to get the tanks back into the game. eventually i want to make them act similar to the stock tanks where there is not 3 diff tanks for 4 camo jobs but 1 tank and the camo get put on it with choice of aircraft camo. finally this will be a bit challenging for me as i am at mob station and while i have plenty of downtime at night to work the issue, i have to wait till i can get to the USO for my internet every few days. no wireless signal in the barracks so it may be a few days before i can get to your suggestion let alone reply. for anyone still patient enough to try to help me i thank you in advance. -

thanks for replying and sorry bout taking so long. kinda stuck training out here in the american desert. to wrench i was afraid of that with the only for stock birds bit. good things my Phantoms are stock! also there was a data ini but i had to make a main ini. finally got them to show but only the left or right resulting in all green lights on the wingtips or all red! to russok thanks for the tip, another deployment project idea is to do up the norwegian AF now that north cape has working water bmp. kinda important with all the anti ship they expected to do. guess i'll check in another week from now.... -

This is the NATO E-3 Components TCA,(USAF designated CT-49A) based on the 707-320. These aircraft are use for pilot training of the E-3 Component and for cargo and troop transport as needed. Three are operated by NATO and a total of 5 have ever flown under NATO colors. This mod includes a touch up of the OTAN skin found in the TMF E-3A release and decals for all 5 TCA's ever registered in Luxemborg. It also includes the Sentry cockpit to make it flyable, or if you have the 707-300 already you can drop the CT-49 skin in and it will work as well. I hope you enjoy! Daddyairplanes -

on technicalities of law it does seem to set a bad precedent. however now that he's in prison i wonder i he will post on his cellmates Facebook page after said cellmate is done usin him for a night time toy. mocking dead teenagers, i would find that very appropriate for the lil a$$h0le

This is a simple mod for the stock TW USAF Phantoms. It uses new decal folders to allow tailcodes for most units that flew after 1973, four main paint schemes that were used between Vietnam and the Phantom's Phinal Phlights in the 90's, and ini edits to take advantage of some effects, sounds and new weapons loadouts. If you wish to know more, please read the readme it should explain most everything. Thank you to Sundowner(most of the skins), Malibu43 and Spillone104, Slartibartfast, Wrench, Dave, EricJ and a host of others. I hope that You enjoy built up in SF2V/E/I/EXP1 and 2, Windows Vista. Will need SF2E to make all Phantoms work. Now updated to Sep 2011 patch. -

sometime in the way too distant future too all those talkin stock skins, i have liked em myself for the most part. i do think Sundowners Phantom skins are better than stock but otherwise i generally try to go stock where i can. just gotta decal my own details in.... oh yeah and shots from the rebuild of my installs.. thought ya might like this one Dave -
