Intel on enemy forces
daddyairplanes replied to gerwin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
i would likely say not, as in anytime you will not have an exact count on enemy strength. hell half the Migs and tanks destroyed on the ground during Allied Force/ Kosovo turned out to be wooden mockups heated to simulate infrared signatures for NATO targeting pods. personally i was unaware you could get intel on the otherside in map, wonder if it transfers to SF2 tis capablity -
start at 2LT, work up to GEN, then cycle back down to SGT!

Something Evil This Way Comes...

they dont want to fall behind the swedes in capability:lol:  http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=bf7_1292774776 -
when i was with a field artillery unit in Germany, had a Platoon Sergeant who used to say that all we needed the officers for was "ink" (their signatres on paperwork). i have met a few good ones over the years, most of those were NCO's that went OCS or ROTC for more money less labor though.

Decal Prop...
daddyairplanes replied to Wrench's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
1 hows that rwr_tail mesh fit in on the decal.ini? and 2 anyone told Dave so he can add this to the bug list 3 having looked at the skins for the 'C_67 it has the rwr antenea on the brake chute housing in back stock. if your using antenea for the ER-142 why not use the stock ones instead. if that is stock then time to ask WTF -
Decal Prop...
daddyairplanes replied to Wrench's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I am working on all Phantom users post vietnam using similar logic (all refer to a F4_Black folder for Euro 1 and SEA Wraparound) and have the exact same prob. i keep thinkin about mppd's Loran F-4D's in the gen 1 d/l section they have blister "covers" for that area but i haven't tried it out yet. to busy renumbering my Phantom decals every time a new patch or NF4+ patch comes out:grin: still nice to know i'm not a complete idiot on why i cant get that to look right nice Wild Weasel IV btw only other user i recall is the 81st TFW up until they upgraded to the F-4G, maybe a couple at George AFB for training -

Harrier Takes her final Bow
daddyairplanes replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
As to the Harrier great Aircraft saved my hide on a couple of occasions to say the least... remember seeing it overhead at kandaher every day for the first half of my year there, you guys didn't fly then as low and obnoxiously as the Marines did when they took over. course almost took a Marine AV-8 out with a flashlight but thats a story for another day...... -

guess the RN can't toast "damn the french " anymore:rofl: seriously tho, some of our folks here accuse pres obama of working to destroy the country and the military . it seems your guys are much more up to the job for the UK! 12,000 jobs lost in middle of a recession, capable CAS aircraft lost when your troops are in combat, and by what i remember of one of your nuc subs, the drivers are getting certified online! -
Overall bug list for SF2
daddyairplanes replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
heres one main game related..... anyone else notice that with the mission editor, object years go out the window? Meteor F8 can go on an anti ship mission against CVA-63 or anti tank against T-72's all of which I am sure were not available in 1956! it's cool to place what you want but within a little reason here:yikes: -

Harrier Takes her final Bow
daddyairplanes replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
whats sad is that didn't you guys just finish a major upgrade on the GR9's? the platforms were bought and paid for and could have provided CAS for your troops for years to come. unlike Typhoon or Tornado the Harrier was designed for that, although admittedly expecting to operate out of clearings while engaging Soviet armor. anyone who thinks they will save more money to axe a whole fleet of planes should look up this little american program............ i believe its called the B-52!
