  1. funny tactical take off for the week i was in Bagram was a Strike Eagle racin upto the top of the mountain. Kandahar was mostly European AF's(Dutch Viper, Mirage, GR7) in and out plus cargo so not so much hot doggin there. tho it did get intersting when the RAF Harrier force was swapped by the Marines!
  2. the Phantom holds the name Double Ugly due to its upturned wing and down turned tail. It is also known as the St Louis Slugger(home of McDonnel) the Rhino(self explainitory) and the worlds largest distributor of Mig parts. The F-4 wasn't designed to look good it was designed to do a job. However in something the function is the beauty.

  5. doin some research into what was avail. USAFE was mostly F-84F and F-86D/F at the time. also had B-57B in black and B-26B Invaders for light bomb wings. F-100A/C is concievable as stateside reinforcement but D was just gettin operational in September and Hungarian invasion was Oct thru Nov. as an interest poss RF-100A Slick Chick was operational starting in 55, until around mid 56. seems not much on F-89 or 94 and by 1956 F-80 and props were mostly phased out. B-45 played a role too (arrgh!) though mostly based in England. if there's any thoughts of doing a 48 Berlin Airlift gone hot bit may wanna look at Pasko's Yak-9 for Sov and Yak-3 for Poland and Czech. more to follow as i get time to read up.

F-16C block 50/52 here in SF1 d/l section converts fairly well although you will have to disable the shadows and there is small white squares in the tailplane where the pivot is. otherwise it works fairly decent. but like many i am eagerly awaiting a professionally converted Viper. maybe 3 weeks on that one.

  11. no ideas i'm afraid. with out much messing to the stock install so far ran 3 antiship missions, one against kitty hawk, one against an essex class and one against 12 destroyers! they are royal pains to kill though (all of the above)
  12. if your looking to do anti ship i just selected antiship then chose a new group and selected CVA-63. as to flying offa them haven't gotten that far yet. howver is a angle deck Essex class always been part of stock TW? only mods i've reloaded to date are my Phantoms.
  13. thanks for general directions Dave. however the new stock SQlist adds ALOT more French and RAF units to the mix and so the NF4 list need to be readjusted to not screw up the stock system. in that case the second of the lists i sent sounds to be the best fit. i shifted NF units in place of the isreali units then added the remainder at the end of the list. dunno who all you might wanna add esp for the 56 campaign will take a bit of research on that there
  14. very good reccomendation on the F-84F. it is excellent work. as to the A-1H for USAF, don't believe they got them til vietnam and don't ever recall them being in USAFE. however due to the lack of USAFE assets in 56 campaign lemme shut up and quite rivet counting.

    from the customer point of view i freakin love C-17's. been the bird to get me to kuwait (outbound) several times and remember one flight where the seats were configured like a 130, but with 10 ft of room between weats reather than 10 inches! alway nice to fly without someones knee hovering right infront of your nuts:rofl: still congrats on the new gear!
  16. for general knowledge guys the squadronlist ini is way changed up esp from NF4. new stock list goes to 287 whereas NF4+ went to 305 the point of divergence is number 241. also shot my F-4 stick skin/decal mod to hell as i used the sq. list ini and based offa NF4+'s. if you want could start renumbering squadrons from NF4 to the new list
  17. starting at 13.99 used, 24.99 on Amazon. like i said been dropped REAL unsubtle hints to the wife tho i doubt i will get it. prob get slippers to replace my sandals from last year tho instead:dntknw: boook has sneek peek feature on amazon looks damn good @hgbn everytime i see another preview for KAW i dont think cool korea, i wonder how hard it'll be to adjust the skin to USAFE skins, esp the new F-80C! as much as KAW looks like it'll kick butt, an NF4+/NF5 addition with much of what i've seen would be awesome at all folks interested..... Meteor, Spitfire, F-84E/F/G, and Dog Sabre were widely used throughout Europe post war. hell even yugoslavia used the american jets!

Dave quick in service dates check on century series shows mainly F-100A in service with USAF let alone USAFE in late 56. an NF4 treated 56 campaign could have more pre- Century Series birds represented. before posting about the clash between NF4 campaign 4 nd the new 56 campaign i was thinking a 56 campaign treated up by you guys could feature some reskinned birds you guys are workin on for the new Korea(after it's release of course) USAFE was using B-26 out of france, F-84 (F and G), many variants of Sabre and might've still had some F-80, though definately some T-33. B-57 would come into play and might be a good excuse (pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaase) to rework a F-47 or too(France, Italy) what looks like a good resource would be a book (i'm droppin hints on it for christmas like crazy) Before Centuries: USAFE Fighters 1948-1959, if anyone has access. just some thoughts.

  20. i have some ideas for a NF5 like im sure we all do. first battle first; figure out how EXP2 messes with NF4+ and report in. dont b!^ch about it just run it and help the guys that can fix the mod. @jonathan not meanin to bite ya head off or nothin just think NF5 ideas should be a seperate thread after we see how this new pack works as a whole and how it affects other mods.
  21. Dave i was gonna joke bout a nf5 release when i realized : how much is having a stock 4th campaign gonna screw with NF4+? i know its still new developments and being looked at just another thought on the matter.

Thats about 20 Warships duking it out down there :D :yikes: never seen the ships go at it like that! thanks for your video demo's jonathan. however i think i'm waitin for the .TOD issue to be resolved. it's the nicer way of sayin i'm broke:dntknw: makes me feel like the kid at the ballpark tryin to peek thru the fence!
