Had Rafales pairing up with Mirage 2000 for a bit there some Sea Kings(you Tommies need some new gear seriously), hogs, though the one that made my eyes bug out was the day i saw a DC-3/C-47. not the turboprop upgrade the original piston engine variety. EricJ put perfectly when he said cosmopolitan nature yes Dave once again i've even see a C-5 take off every so often. but the noise they make, it doesnt sound like they're too happy bout it.

Having read the SF2 KB on separate installs i copied the exe file moved it to my desktop. ran it all i got was a (what i named that install) folder in my saved games/.../ mods folder. having re-read it should i put an x after SF2E folder and its options.ini folder then install? got some tooling around i want to try and really dont wanna mess up my original install esp after getting my personal upgraded planes where i like em. like the title says think i have the answer but confirmation or redirection if im wrong would be apprreciated. thanks

thanks migbuster that did the trick tho i notice it comes up as SF2 with germany ce terrian instead of SF2E. no worries though works for my purposes. yesterday i copied the exe and pasted it to my desktop before running. once again thanks!

ok so Dave has let us know that NF4+ is on hold(thank you sir btw). no prob s*** happens in real life we'll get over it. my question though....Many potential projects for upgrading those aircraft to GEN 2 standard have seemed on hold to await C5's release. The Mirage Factory is understood of limits but with the original creators permissions are the aircraft in those series's now up for upgrading? or would it still be better to hold on and wait? as for changing the campaigns it seems to me fairly easy to add the aircraft you desire (already tried out 81st TFS with EF-4C's before i had to reboot whole damn system) but i would be nice to have the variety out there for folks with less computer skills than me.(there are 4 or 5 in the world really)

has happened to me several times with weapons and aircraft skins. try checking that the bmp lod and info in the ini,s all match. might be as simple as a missed number or caps vs lower case.

its not all that dumb. common sense and physics: the higher you are the farther you can see. the kamov may work but helos wont go as high as fixed wing can for as long or as far from the carrier. be interesting though hawkeyes co-ordinating migs vs paki vipers? or even droppin in for a little friendly visit on us super bugs both sides directed by hawkeyes? hmmmm

Also with the ARN-101 F-4Es, the 3d TFW was the only unit certified to use the Pave Tack targeting pods. I know that they used it during on of the Gunsmoke competitions in the 80's and achieved better scores than other Phantom units although still not enough to beat out the Viper units. i do not know if they carried Pave Tack in ODS but do know that crews often didn't like carrying it. why can be answered by the Phantom drivers nickname for the system...Pave Drag.

hello all another of the wall question from yours truly. i converted STORM's EF-4C to Gen2 (for my use right now) and have it flying good in game. the main things i am haveing trouble with are as follows Decals: i downloaded the USAF wing decal set which has the needed decals for 81st TFS 52d TFW but i cant make sense of the tga file names to figure out which one it is i need. is there a way to read tga files without notepad so it doesn't look like gobbleygook? does any one know which tga goes to what in that download so i can plug it in the decal.ini?(yes that would be a cheating fix) Programs: what programs would i need to be able to tweak the skin and to change the model itself? for accuracy i want to remove the red stripe from around the fuselage and on the fin cap as well. the model itself also needs a few additional antennea on the nose and on the intake shoulder to accurately represent wild weasel 4. most important to this question is where can i find these programs preferably free or very cheap? i am an E-5 with a family of 5 so cant quite blow a couple hundred on this here Weapons: i have tried a fix to keep Standard ARM off of the F-4C of NOTALLOWEDWEAPONS= but it doesnt seem to work. am i phrasing it wrong? also do i need to put more info in than AGM-78B/C/D? each model gets its own donot allow line but still nada. i also tried adjusting allowed weight per pylon but can't work that with out cutting CBU load or getting something else funky. my test pics will show AGM-78 but that is from check flights in auto pilot to ensure my latest ini edits worked ok. also for ya'lls general info i took the Gen2 F-4C_67 and applied the ini and skin from the EF-4C to make my wild weasel. if i can get it where i want it to be and STORM is ok with it i will upload it though maybe not til i get home in january internet loves to drop here so not sure id get it online here in the stan.i appreciate your help in advance and heres a pic of what i got so far for your viewing pleasure.

to both of you guys thanks for the assist @kowalski gotcha on the programs is there a good site to find them on? always have bad luck googling for software so tryin to get a reliable site to get the software from. i know that there is a thread on the fake pilot method in the KB i just need to know what tools(program) i need to use the the technique. but know i know and knowing is....ah you get it. finally as for the loadout i know i could just manually not load it. but not every is a phantom phanatic and knows that the C model weasel didn't have the room for the wiring for the standard arm. it could physically carry it but it would have been an expensive dumb bomb. just tryin fer some accuracy. @wrench appreciate the heads up on the file on your site think i saw it some time ago. this has been my fun little intro to modding and i'm a good ways there with it. like i said i used the stock F-4C_67 as it had some lump bumps and antennea i need already over the F-4C. Ive then been addin relevant parts of the Gen 1 ini to my Gen 2 bird. had it full up but for the skins couple of weeks ago then my comp froze up and i had to reboot. damn my lack of an external hd! anyhow just about got it done gotta redo daves checklist for upgrading again. probably could release for SF2V but im more of a Germany guy so tryin to get it set for 81st TFS not just 67th. again thanks guys um o/t question just switched from dark scheme to usaf scheme for the site noticed the rank on my member info. could you guys tell this soldier what rank that is? i always get confused with air force and navy enlisted ranks.

they are a little bigger than a C-5 typical russian mentality see em now and again here at the airfield along with IL-76s that NATO charters. and they make the same sick whale whine when they take off as a Galaxy. now if i could just get on one outbound......

what version of the game do you have? if its anything SF2 then go into (your user name)\Saved Games\ThirdWire\(the game which you have.) go into the Objects folder and if you dont have a weapons folder......make one! this is assuming you have one of the SF2 series games on Vista. pending your answer any other O/S or the first gen series i will hand you off to the moderator who chooses to help you. i hope this helps

why not Eagle II given its advanced capabilities ala F-5E tiger II. or super eagle ala super hornet. of course IMO should be given a new name and number much like the northrup F-5G Tiger II. (if you don't know what that is look up the F-20A Tigershark!) oh and off of the topic of the newest Eagle do you guys have the AS blue schemes in the works? You know what they were wearing at Luke AFB mid to late seventies?

just caught and killed some kinda bug on my laptop. only problem is all my work and d/l's of the last two weeks is gone as well. @ EricJ : a couple of days ago you put a file in a thread helping out someone with graphics issues but i can't recall the name of the file or thread to go find it. it had worked best to boost my fps and right now its gone. i would really appreciate a repost of that file. @everyone else at least i saved most of my downloads on thumbdrive but i hadn't saved the planes i converted over yet. can i scream now?

just to add vicious rumors and upset everyone ..... i heard NF4+ was released..... but now it'll be two weeks until the download section is up hmm nice place for the smileys.
