  1. ok, gotta say it: im not that into the WW2 props the evidence? i saw Birdcage (capitalized) and immediately thought Robin Williams and Nathan Lane
  2. i'd do what interests you, and be available to explain what you did to anyone that wants to do it themselves (and asks nicely of course)
  3. if i recall, my skinpack for the 707 has a Aerolineas Argentina in there. for several eras possibly even only catch is that its as a decal, so you roll the dice on what you get or play with the numbers list and textureset some
  4. ANG Mustangs

surest way to get right info on the internet, post the wrong thing seriously though nice catch. and armariani, when this is done i might have to do some mix flight photo ops with ANG Vipers and Stangs.....
  5. seriously tho, looking damn good. i esp like the field hospital
  6. Intercept!

    holding formation on an unwilling wingman is part of the challenge of the thread of course some mission briefs are harder than others damn, he might make it up here because,..... i was inverted and for those that wanted the numbers on that;
  7. C-101 Aviojet

here you go bud https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/aviojet/ if your talking SF1 or 2, there are forums for your request there rather than the general zone but be prepared to wait a few years. or .... Blender (modeling software) is free GIMP (photoshop) is free pick em up. practice. fail. learn from failure. practice somemore. build your skills, none of us started off doing super great work develop a skill in the community that will allow you to work with other skinners and modders, and have them want to help you. *************************************************************************************************************************************** you may not realize it, but posts like your first one are equivilant to a decently dressed man holding a "please help sign" on a street corner. you think your case is unique but the older modders here have seen it a million times. your second one reads more like offering that man food or water, and being turned away saying he only wants cash. and before you declare how rude i am, how much time in a day do you have to stop your life, and your interests to make something for someone who will not be paying you to do it??
  8. ANG Mustangs

found while doing my own research. 166th FS Ohio ANG 1949
  9. William Tell '23

  10. ANG Mustangs

im gonna go out on a limb here and say they were..... dark . . . . .
  11. its weird how folks say they cant do (or dont like to do) decals that can do skins. tga work just has a little more involvment with opacity and repetition, skin work has much more detail to it. but to me the skill sets are the same (outside of hte decal.ini dance)
  12. templates and layers man, just like a skin ya set up your template, save it and when you got your other numbers, just plug em in.
  13. there was a discussion on this in another thread, basically that the stock birds dont lend themselves to being ground models where as the modder created lods can be used.
  14. ANG Mustangs

tis why the research is a long and lengthy b............... amount of time @amariani, from the bits ive looked up of period photos, and looking at pics like yakarov posted, you may want to make everything a level 2 decal. theres alot more variation within units than I would have expected, esp for an aircraft that in theory was maintained in house and didnt go to depot every few years
  15. change 23 not knowing how the stock ones are off the top of my head, i believe these are what your looking for A7TPSTemplates.7z still check with Jarek tho, if he's working with TMF then i garuntee his will be better.
  16. if he doesnt read and jump in, talk to yakarov79. he was working some A-7 skins a while back but dont remember if it was stock or TMF
  17. ANG Mustangs

looks nice was looking up some stuff, because i think that "High Rollers" logo didnt show until the Phantom era. in that search found this pic and you might want to pick up on the search. there were quite a few ANG Mustang pics under the image https://www.google.com/search?q=high+rollers+NVANG&client=firefox-b-1-d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj3ks2zpa3-AhV3lGoFHf9ADokQ0pQJegQIMxAC&biw=1536&bih=703&dpr=1.25#imgrc=tQumL5d4G2OePM
  18. ANG Mustangs

well if the black checker is a seperate layer (tga or jpg!) rather than a black and white checker layer, then it shouldnt be too hard to change up colors for later. (scribbles note to self for future Hog work)
  19. which mod exactly too. please be more specific than "this mod for the F-5E". there are 7 mods in the aircraft section alone. did you load a skinpack as well? on the surface, seems like a the textures are misnamed within the folder. something like "F-5E.xxx" when it should be "F-5E_72.xxx" (those are examples, look at your folders for the real values) removing one or two skins causing the aircraft to disappear is weird though
  20. as for usage (and if you can animate one ontop of the other) i would have the cargo door set as a canopy so it displays open when parked. then have the paratrooper door able to open so paratroopers can deploy in flight. just a couple pennies on the topic tho
  21. cant honestly answer that for ya. all i can say is watch, ask questions, and take good notes (actually retain and use what you learn). as to specific videos: watch it try it see if it works. if it doesnt watch another.
  22. well, like cooking, some aspects of skinning are to taste since the lod viewer, i tend to play with numbers until it looks right to me my above advice was particular to the texture itself. i never did like just plugging c0c0c0 (or silver) in and leaving it. real metal has so much variation, even if well maintained and polished
  23. ANG Mustangs

possibly both. many ANG squadrons broke squadrons down further into flights, with colors for each. its been noted in a couple of A-10 and F-16 squadrons, and i've seen several F-4 squadrons do it given the practice fell out of favor over time, i think its much more likely for the Mustangs
