and the originally works just fine on around 99% of said systems hell, he probably coulda made a good chunk of change making pits for the non player flyables. especially if he released the way he did for all the other DLCs....... (cough cough A-6)- 69 replies

not saying your wrong there.... if were me, would put a statement in the EULA that im not responsible for any effects my release has on any third party content. screenshot and post as the reply anytime someone complained. hell, that statement might be in there. only reason anyone might read the EULA is to dispute a post like this- 69 replies

STRIKE FIGHTERS 3 REQUEST
daddyairplanes replied to PJB's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
my friend...... you dont remember 2012-2013 in TW land TK would release patches. lets say at noon on a monday by 8pm, CA would be full o posts breaking down whats in the new patch and singing songs of praise. by 8am the next morning those songs of praise would turn to screams of anguish as somebody discovered that this mod was porked. or that feature disappeared. or something that was ridicously hard was now ridicously easy. and so on my recurring joke is funny because its true. we've seen us do it...........- 69 replies

well hits a recurring joke of mine: the day TK actually updates SF2 again, everyone will cheer that evening. then complain the next morning about how their mods are broken- 69 replies

STRIKE FIGHTERS 3 REQUEST
daddyairplanes replied to PJB's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
or, as with even SF2 let alone a 3.... a huge modding community that has created the largest catalog of player flyable aircraft and skins for said aircraft of any Win7 through 11 flight sim. i mean seriously, theres over 2000 aircraft mods, over 100 terrain mods and over 1400 aircraft skin mods. and looking at teh history from Gen 1 to Gen 2, a Gen 3 would get alot of stuff ported over, and alot of new stuff you want super high fidelity on a few things, Eagle Dynamics is great. if you want wide variety on damn near everything, talk to the fan community for Thirdwire- 69 replies

This Day in History Screenshot Thread

21 August 1961, Edwards AFB The first intentional supersonice flight by an airliner. A DC-8-43 flown by Douglas test pilot Bill MacGruder dives from 50000 ft and breaks the sound barrier for approximately 16 seconds at around 41000 ft. Mainly to demonstrate that the DC-8 was in fact strong enough to do so. The aircraft was pending delivery to Canadian Pacific airlines, but still on the Doouglas books at teh time of the flight. -

For the rest of August, lets post our Tigers here. Rules: name the unit, reason for the scheme (Tiger Meet, regular, RIAT etc) and rough timeline. aircraft ID optional - Can be a special, something not for public release, stock or WIP (fairly complete) - Have fun with it! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- to kick off RAF 230 Sqn, Puma HC2, RIAT 2005 53rd TFS, F-15A, stock skin and patrol mission, very early 80's 141st ARS, KC-135E, RIAT 97 -

daddyairplanes replied to simonmiller416's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
not quite as much. in ME you can lower the percentange down. the trick is figuring out what percentage the radars make up. most likely by dropping percentage, taking out radars, seeing if the mission is a success we nominate you to put that bell on the cat -

daddyairplanes replied to simonmiller416's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
just tried it out in ME. eveidently SEAD operates on a percentage, not on "eliminate x target". mine popped up as 57%. i guess lower teh percentage and then target teh radar -

for a game gernerated mission this would be likely true, and i'd go back to the old hunter killer days and make your wing man a regular Super Bug. with cluster bombs. but if you have mission editor ( i know you do Eric, dunno bout simonmiller or the viewers at home) you could just set the radar as the mission target. -

YAP Rising Sun Decals
daddyairplanes replied to warthog64's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
few basic questions is the D folder moved out of the aircraft skin folder? are you dealing with a bunch of loose decals in the decal folder? are the filepaths matching up in the decal.ini vs the folders? are the filepaths matching up in the folders vs the decal.ini? _____________________________________________________________________ that said i was helping with the skins and decal folder for the RW team. that decal folder...... three monkeys gangbangin a football would be a milder statement on it. i know its from years of adjustment and being originally for gen 1 but still....... -
