If your talking about the runtime error when you start from the off manager,,and you have to exit, and then get to restart again without a problem, seems like a lot of us are getting it. Other than the hassele of having to start twice, doesnt seem to interfere with game play at all. If this is the same error you are having, i wouldnt consider reloading, doubt that its going to go away.

There are seveal mp pilots who would also like to see campaign missions with ppl on both sides, so im sure its going to come around eventually. Big reason why it has NOT come around sooner is that the existing mp pilots understand the foremost reason a new pilot may be hesitant to join into MP is the fear of gettting hammered (human nature......) So we try to keep the sessions in a format where pilots of all skill levels can have as much fun as possible, and human vrs ai is a better theater for that. And keep in mind, hosting games is not rocket science, its actually pretty easy. If this is the venure you would like to see, you could always put up a session for others to join. We would like to see more ppl hosting just as much as we would like to see more pilots playing.

when your game starts..hit escape to get to the hanger dropdown and select controls...along where it shows your input device, there should be a calibrate,,,calibrat the stick assuming the throttle works when calibrating, I might suggest you dbl check your settings for thrttle control...maybe the axis isnt mapped right.

keeping in mind this may just be just for my system (ati 4870), i recently redid my settings from scratch, setting all to default, (cfs3config and ccc center) and making ONE adjustment at a time, playing the game, and seeing the effect. Once i got my sliders set, (again, one notch at a time,,one slider at a time), (5 3 3 5 5 ), and resolution, the ONLY setting that helped fps, and overall game play in cfs3config was unchecking dual pass render. checking index buffers, write only buffers etc etc,,,and making changes to texture info resulted in a drop in fps with no apparent improvement in what i saw on the screen. With ANY of the recommended settings,,i was struggling at 14-19 on the ground, and 30 tops in the air. Now im at 45-53 on the ground, and at 60 almost all the time in the air. all the kinda "optionsl" (shoreline render, water effects etc etc) are all enabled. point is,,,if you go in and make a slew of settings, you have no idea whats pulling you up,,and whats pulling you down. And while i know all the "recommended" settings have been around for a long time, they are the settings that have been killing my game.

Ok...i was installing to a new folder, and dragging over to my aircraft folder, guess you cant do that, you have to install into you game. cool plane...but no guns..

hmm,,thout i put in a reply,,but guess it didnt take.. anyways,,yes,,great story.. would love to fly that mission you just did. If you have not flown another campaign mission, it will be in your mission/historical folder as off_camp_mission.xml. if you make a copy and post it, will put it for the MP group to fly. that file gets overwritten everytime you do another campaign session.

I tried this in both off, and cfs3, and the plane would not load... any clues?

not sure if there is a fix for it or not, but alot of ppl get it... i have zoom in/out mapped to the joystick so i just zoom in one notch, and now the screen is full of cloud....

Suppose i could have just tried a shortcut to trackir in my start, but decided to go this route. This is pretty much a gaming system, so i want trackir running when i start the computer. start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\TrackIR5.exe" so far its started trackir5 everytime the computer starts. If you didnt want it to start with the computer, but where tired of the dbl starting, you could make a text file like this, start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\TrackIR5.exe" start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\TrackIR5.exe" and save it as a .bat file somewhere, then make a shortcut to the desktop. you will get a window saying trackir is already running obviously, but when i tried it on my computer, the camera initialsized every time. The syntax itself is pretty handy for starting multiple apps with one shortcut. In some cases, the bat file must reside in the apps folder or it doesnt work... ie. if you want offmanager and trackir to start at the same time, you have to put the bat file for the startup in cfsww1 directory, or you get a slew of font errors...

Its named for the sqd plane http://bhah.homeip.n...rtN11_Sqd_t.dds sorry if i confused ppl with the naming issue. Im used to putting these skins into the aircraft directories so they will be available for Multiplayer, where as the majority of you probably stick them into your campaign skins folders.

Ahhh,,,thanks for the heads up on that birddog...its been happening to me too, but ive been switching usb ports... guess its back to trackir4...this is way to much of a pain in the ass...

Just noticed that my posting history only goes back so far...(didnt bother to take notice, but id say maybe 90 days).... this something new???
