ras,,,did you happen to do that speed test yet on the other computers? Dont know how taxing fsx is on your internet. And sorry if you were trying to connect to me...all i did is start the game,,,and didnt start flying at my end (u can usually join at that point) but the game crashed eventurally. I do have a game up, if you want to try and join, but still would be intererestd to see if all your computers are getting the same numbers on speed test.

think its the 5200 emulator for atari,,at least for the game i play...could be we are just thinking about different games,,,,but dont think breakout was on the 2600...could be wrong

Been working with a couple pilots that have been having problems getting into multiplayer. As i have always had all my intro videos/oprions etc etc disabled in both the off manager, and in my cfs3config, when they would start describing the various intro screens they saw as the game came up, i wasnt paying that much attention. But one pilot kept on seeing a plane crash as his multiplayer window was opening, which, from the days of when i did have videos/intro options enabled, didnt sound corret. So i enabled all my videos and other intro options, and started multiplayer, and all i get is a screen with a plane on the airfield...no animation at all.. all of this can be seen in better detail at this thread http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...mp;#entry302189 If anyone can take the time to get into mp with the following proceedure, and let me know what screen they get when they get to the point the have the multiplayr and the mission medal, i would really appreciate it.. note, this will not serve any purpose to me if you have your intro options disabled. start from your obd over flanders field shortcut > seletct multiplayer > from the active pilot for duty screen, use the mission dropdown at the bottom and select any turkey shoot mission > you should eventually get the framed picture of the 3 pilots exiting the barrocks, and eventually you will come to a screen with a mission medal and a multiplayer medal on the left. I need to know what you are seeing in the background. Is it any kind of animation, or is it just a plane on an airfield.. and, if the animation is in error, and anyone has a clue what might be going on, would appreciate a hint... thanks in advance

am getting on around 7ish to help ras,,,and yes,,we use the same teamspeak, unless it appears prudent to create a new channel like we did the other day. Im gonna throw this "screen vrs animation" think out in the general forum, as i dont have a clue which is the right one, but im leaning towards mine,,,i dont think your suppose to see anything other than the field,,,kinda like when cfs3 starts up,,and you got that guy on one knee....

ok...went and enables all my intro videos and such,,,and when getting into multiplayer from the off manager, after i select a mission, i get this screen. But there is no animation of any kind,,,the plane just sits there with the engine stopped. Are you saying (and i belive ras is saying the same thing) when you get to this screen, whatever plane u see tries to take off?

well...considering the manner in which you installed bhah,,,,it should need to have the cfs3 cd in the drive, for it to run....forget if its disk one or disk two. I wanted you to try with your cd, just so you wont have to hassle copying my cd. and,,i have been kinda of blowing off your description of a plane crashing into the ground when you start your game. I have all my intro videos and such turned off, so i dont get to see any of that. I will make it a point to enable everything, so I see exactly what you see, (minus the error messages i hope....). I'm not so sure you should see planes crashing,,,when you start off3 Suppose to get on with ras tongith around 7. He's got pretty much the same problems as you ...sans the blue meter...

Rabu, im certain i have the original breakout,,,(that was atari,,,right???) and whatever emulator u need...Will be sure to find it on my computer at home.. my favorite (other than zelda of course) was tetris.... personal highs where....19-3......and somewhere around 12-6

yeah,,,,a great solution!!!!! now all we have to do is decide how to use it best. do you pilots want structured games, or would you prefer to do everything "on the fly" (no pun intended) keep in mind, if we attempt to structure it, we will still need people to volunteer to host on any particular nite. OVS, how much time do you want pilots to give you to approve entries? and Erik, sorry about the confusion,,just happen to notice that your av said admin/owner,,, so,,whos the boss?

I did a google on that error message, and it brought up a recent post by Ras, who has been haveing WORSE problems than you in gettting into mp. thread is here if you want to look http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...mp;#entry299600 in addition to the error message, he also seemd to get the flickering you described, but cant be sure its the exact same thing, Have pm'd him, as i am interested in seeing if he is getting the blue meter screen also. Not sure if all this info is going to help us, or set us back... realise you are able to get into mp, which is good, but gut feeling is we still have to try and reslove all these error messages you are getting, or its going to catch up with you eventually. also,,if you get the chance,,,see if you can play bhah with your cd,,,,

Think its time we consider getting a schedule toghether so that pilots have an idea of what might be happening when. Boys of 60 have one, and they run pretty smooth. Games are going up alot more than they used to be (understatement to say the least), but its still hit or miss. There are some obviouse problems that would have to be worked out,,,times that would accomadate everyone, whos going to host on such and such a day, and im sure a slew more. And some pilots might not like the idea of a structured schedule. Not saying this would have to be etched in stone, just something to give pilots an idea of what days there is at better than 50% chance there will be a game up. But its just a thout, and am throwing it out there for ideas and or critisism,,,(my mother abused me as a child,,so i can take it..) Have tossed one on here just as an example. Personally i would like to see more variety in what we play. In addition to teamdog fights, maybe throw in some competative ones, where labels, targeting helpers etc are not allowe,,,play in DiD standard if you will.. Same with missions. MatMatt is working on getting campaign missions available in multiplayer, which i think is going to be a blast. Wed, (and some others) are boys of 60 days, so was thinking good day to do Tuturials like ax had couple weeks ago. And have asked Stump to make us some cool pylons, so we can have races... Hoperfully, if we can get one worked out, incorporating everyones ideas, we can get it posted up on the Doves and Hawks site.

absoulutly,,,,get into the game the same way as mp, but hit the mission medal, instead of multiplayer,, or,,,you could just hit mp medal, and host a game,,and play all by yourself,,,,not 100% sure, but think your going to see the same thing,,,,with maybe the exception of seat assighnments not being available in the "mission" medal mode... and,,what you meant to say was "DAMN,,i've been playing qc and campaign all day, and didnt think to check in....."

vasco, dont have the answer to your problem, but have seen numerous posts about it in the past (ie,,,,two contolers) suggesst you repost with a heading of something like "problem assigning chjoystick and ch pedals" and id do it in general discussion as well as here,,,,,just so you make sure you get more exposure...
