Getting more and more players these days into multiplayer, and every new person that joins in loves it. Should have a game up around 730 sunday nite. Anyone thinking about multiplayer, but has not yet tried it, its never too late to join in. As always, we put off playing a session to get new players up and running. Any questions about joining, ask in the game post at the multiplayer forum.

I agree with uncleal (omg,,,did i just say that??) and as long as you have the covers off,,make sure all your fans a spinning constanly,,,no slowing down for a sec,,then catching back up again.

Its always been my experience, that when a problem exists, its a big mistake to forge ahead anyways, and perpetuate the problem. Seems logical to me that if a p4 is somewhere in the future, then there is no reason not to assume a p5 might be what we are talking about next.... With that in mind, and taking into account I dont see anyone in a big rush for p4, we are all pretty happy with p3, putting off the solutions to fixing what needs to be fixed in p4 ( which ok,,,might mean starting from scratch) would imho, seem somewhat of a waste. granted, its easy for me to say, as i dont have to do the work.

considering the distance on this one, think we should have at least 2 ppl on each sider ready and able to host. Kinda a primary and backup. Makes sense to do some game hosted on one side,,and another from the other end,,,,so the same ppl dont get the bad lag,,,(if such a thing exists...)

Has anyone mentioned multiplayer yet? Would like to think the increase in response over the last few weeks alone, would help indicate that multiplayer should be at least, a minimal consideration when thinking about off4 Its not historical, its not Did, and its pretty much got nothing in common with the reasons off1 thru off3 where developed. But its fun, and its what alot of pilots want to do.

bala, whenever you are ready, i can help you with portforwarding. Keep in mind, you only have to do this when either one,,you have a wireless router that you are using for your internet connection, or, your hispeed modem has a built in firewall...other wise it is not a necessity...... Its pretty easy to find out,,,u put up a game, and if no one can join,,you probably need to forward ports..

ok,,,not saying your tech guys dont know what they are doing, but this repeatedly finds stuff everything else i use (avg,,adaware) doesnt... but,,,considering we were getting the mismatchs in cfs3, im leaning heavily towards a bad cfs3 install...so the scans are probably not an issue at the moment...

thats different for each person putting up a game... for instance,,,if you wanted to host a game, i have always suggetsted going to www.whatsmyipaddress.com, and jotting down the ip,,,and thats what you tell all the other players to connect to in BHAH If i am hosting, i give out My ip.... I got to work early,,so hopefully that means i will get my act together,, its 830am now,,i will jump onto teamspeak, and just watch the screen ever so often,,,,if when you get on, i dont respond right away,,,,probably means im not near the computer....rather than have you sit and wait for me to notice suggest you do the same,,(ie check in every so often),,,eventually we will connect...

It appears in cfs3 also, (didnt know that before) which at this point leads me to belive it might be the source of the problem. We looked everywhere,,,services,,,,msconfig,,for something out of wack,,,but nothing obvious showed up.. Hauskbee,,,still would like you to go to malwarebytes.org,,,and get the free 64bit scanner.....might as well cover all our bases...

Just so you have a better idea of what is currently in place, and then you would have a better handle on in what areas have room for improvement, suggest you get yourself up to the point where you can join us in mp, on the current ts server ( and yes,,,outlaw is a persone who hosts the teamspeak server for off, as well as the teamspeak server for the boysof60) Not trying to entice you into the mp theater ( well...no more than i try to entice anyone into mp), but think everything might be clearer to you as to what needs to be done, what is possible, what is not possible and all that kind of stuff... And besides,,,what do you have to loose,,,i mean,,whos gonna shot YOU down,,,,right,,,?

gotta trojan that is running rampant here,,,,,,its into my fraps.exe, and my offmanger.exe and no less than 20 other files.... so,,gotta pull the plug on the internet here,,,,and find the time to reinstall off and about 7 other things...

ukw, not sure if its the same on my system as yours, but there are some really nice wind effect sounds,,,you just cant hear them over your engine.. ut oh,,,,,,,,damn,,,went to open off manger to look thru the sound settings and off is infected,,,,,and my av found the same trojan in my fraps.exe...so guess this thing is on the move... anyways,,,i think if you move your effects sound slider way up,,,and then turn your engine off in flight,,you will hear the wind sounds i hear..they are actully pretty cool..

lol...yeah,,that was kinda strange,,,someone quoted you,,but i could for the life of me find where they had quoted your from..... You can count me in if you need any assistance, just have to keep in mind 1. i dont have that much control over my schedule (which might sound strange as it seems im always here or playing,,,,) and 2, i shut down this computer everynite,,, Now as far as your post goes,,,,none of us, with the excption of outlaw (the server we connect to) have anything other than the client installed on our computers. So we dont ever "host" teamspeak, we just connect to outlaws server... I am not sure if what you had in mind was severl people taking turns running the TS server ( which i dont think would be a static ip), or you meant having the ts server on your computer, with a few pilots able to monitor, and maintain it. In the brief time i have used TS, it has never had any problems. Im not so sure that it needs monitoring, or maintenence,,, With that in mind, dont think you are going to find anyone familiar with teamspeak servers. I did breifly look into it, but it seem that to be a server, there is a cost involved,,,which is where i stopped looking. I could be wrong about this..... And i do entirely agree that there will be a need for a second ts server, and or another ts channel if you do get a multiplayer server up, as pilots in a mp mission will not want to listen to pilots in a dogfight and vica versa. But i think you would have a difficult time getting existing mp pilots to swich from the outlaw server for the mp that is currently up and running. Wish any of this helped to further your cause, But it doesnt seem like it does.

if you get a chance, try this,,,hope its the same for vista go to control panel, and select adminstrative tools from administartive tools select services... in the services window, adjust the colum widths so that the name of the services and the description dont overlap anything else,, from the services window go to action>export list, and in save as type , selcet text(comma delimited)(*.csv) rather than paste the list in the forum, just upload the file you just saved,,,i dont have excel on this computer, and if i can look at the csv file in excel, it is easier to read...

i think you told me you dont get the blue dial in cfs3, so am going to guess cfs3 is not the problem. And seeing as how another window is getting invoked by off3, (the dial thing), I am leaning towards a third party installer/loader on your machine. if this is the case, something has be to resident in memory. will try later to dig up homeboys tuturial for alcricity pc, only cause that describes how to get to services.msi, or something like that, and you can make a text document of ALL the little background applications that get started when you start up the computer. Hopefully, from that someone will be able to pinpoint the background app that is causing the problem. And hopefully the windows disk error message is tied into the dial window. It would not hurt to go to http://malwarebytes.org/mbam.php, and get the free download, and after upgrading the software, do a scan. (that link is for the 64bit version) Admittedly, this doesn not look like adware/spyware or anythink like that, but you never can tell...

c:\documents and settings\xxxxxxxx\my documnets\cfs3wwi over flanders fields.. where xxxxxx can be either your username for the computer, or administrator, depending on how the computer was set up.. if for some reason you still can find it,,,take a screen shot, and then do a search on shotmm-dd-yy, where mm-dd-yy is obviously the date..

your in the right server now,,,,all you have to do is hit self,,,and deselct away...there is also a text option,,,,hit channel,,and select send message to all,,type it in,,and hit ok
