lol...well...right now i rate that other game a -1..onna scale from 1 to 10 was going to send you my configoverides file, but i dont think that would help,,,but here is where it is suppose to be.... c:\documents and settings\xxxxxxx\applicationdata\microsoft\combat flight simulator 3 if you DO have it here,,,,attach it to an email,,,and send to donald@tollhousebakery.com would like to look at it... if there is something there that looks like it,,but has a bkp extension,,,,let me know.. 3 hours off between you and me...so you let me know some times that might be good for you,,,and ill do my best to make them...

carrick,,, at some point in time,,i gotta unistall and reinstall my cfs3 and bhah cause somethign obviously went astray... if you want to get teamspeak,,and a mic,,,maybe we can do it at the same time,,,..im boston (edt) you installing from cd....and if so,,,is a cd patched to 3.1 already? or do you have the dvd,,,,(im begining to wish i had the dvd)

Same thing happened to me,,,not sure if its for the same reason,,, but things went wrong for me with cfs3,,,,,and i cant remember if all this happened the first time i installed everything (had to reload os due to worm,,,and lost all).. First think it does is tell me the cfs3 installer not for xp64...but clicking ok lets it go ahead and install anyways.. When i did my 3.1 upgrade,,,it asked if i wanted to backup my old config,,,or something like that,,and pretty sure i said no....and somewhere during the upgrade it gives me a message about finding an old file...so it couldnt update .....didnt write it down (stupid...),,so not really sure... Anyways,,,when installing bhah,, got the same messages as you, so went looking for that file...pretty sure you mean the cfs3configdatabase.txt... I didnt have that file in cfs3,,but i did have a cfs3configdatebasetxt.bkp (backup file),,,so i renamed it to .txt,,,and bhah installed fine.. only problem i am having is that fps in both cfs3 and bhah seem to be capped at around 20....and thats even at the start up (ie,,game hasnt even started yet)...i used to be gettin 60fps when i just started the game... but,,,assuming this is the same as you,,,i would look for that file that got renamed a .bkp file,,,and rename it to the original..(ie,,just take out the .bkp) hope this helps

In case it hasnt been posted yet,,,adjust your view with the mouse,,and pageup,page down etc keys, then hit f10 (save view),,,,,then track ir seems to work fine...least for me...

find your obd software /cfswwi directory, and locate your cfs3config.exe. suggetst you make a shortcut for it on the desktop, so you can get to it easily. open cfs3config,,and click on file,,,,change display options,....this is where you enter resoulution for the game,,,,, that file is in both cfs3, and bhah,,,,each one effects the corresponding game.... Did you get any strange messages during your cfs3 install?

Ok,,,now how about reinstalling off3 with bhah already installed? Only reason i ask is I had cfs3 and bhah installed and didnt need cd,,,had to uninstall/reinstall cfs3, and when i was finished,,,bhah needed cd,,,and,,i wasnt gettting the insert cd message,,i was getting some funky error message... just something to think about before you put cfs3 back on..

quick update,,, worm came back on computer, so decided to reinstall os... got to part where you put the floppy in for raid drivers and floppy is nfg... mfg site for drivers i need has been down for almost 2 days now,,,,, so,,,will get back on when i can,,,

would guess there is no reason to install off until you have cfs3 installed and running. System specs on the surface dont seem to be the problem, as ive run cfs3 on much slower computers.. not saying its definatly not the computer, but doesnt seem like it. Can only suggest some things,,,have no idea if they will work... if you are doing full install, try the small install... before you run cfs3, navigate to the cfs3config file in your cfs3 folder and either do the tweaks for the cfs3config suggested here, or, in overides, there is a safemode,,(have never tried this, so dont have a clue what it does) and i would turn sliders in cfs3config down all the way at first...as well as screen resolution...see if you can get it running, then bring it up slowly http://www.com-central.net/index.php?name=...topic&t=118 If none of this helps,,,get teamspeak, and will try and get on with you some nite to help...

You could very will be correct. Now i remeber getting my dad an addon video card so he could have the 3dfx, and you had the video out from the first card go into a video in on the addon, (this is all outside the case),,,,,and your video out came off the addon card, but didnt know that was considered "sli"...

Thanks ovs. hopefully, you will leave it as it is, and Erik will take the position that if he finds the calander has to be moderated, then he will put the necessary changes in effect. Aside from you not having one more thing to do, was concerned about the overseas pilots having to wait for you to wake up before thier posts got approved..

thats nothing,,,i gotta 200mhz vectra (we are talking edo here...) that i just use for printing lables on my dotmatrix...still works..so aint gonna mess with it...

ill toss an 80gig in with the cd then...

cj....if you want, i can earmark the next good computer that comes my way for you... would cost too much to send case, but can pull the mb, and powersupply (gotta feeling you need the p4 connextor)... 2.0 to 2.4celerons seem to come around alot... also have a 2.6c small form factor hp here,,,drawback on this is the pci slots are on the board, and not on a daughterboard, so it requires 1/2pci cards....hard to find good video cards in that format..

if anyone has the time to get on for some mp testing, post here,,, will check forum everyso often

Ok,, I will still post here, on the day of a session for those who dont know about the calander,, but will add the fact a calander exists to the mp tuturial..

hate to make recommendations, as it is crazy to listen to someone you dont know!! hopefully you will get enough suggestions to point you in a direction where you can research it all for yourself, imho, a must. build,,,dont go dell..(imho) e8500 3.16 dual core is fine for off. Off gets no benifit from a quad core, but that doesnt mean that off5 wont eithere.... 64bit os is a must...you dont want to be sitting on 2gigs of ram onna 2k$ machine.. research the ram,,,make sure you are getting timing cycles around 5 if possible,,,,i got cheap ram,,and am kicking myself for it.. I dont think i would ever consider sli or crossfire on a dualcore...upper end video cards are going to be ahead of the processor..why go 2.. nvida280. I am Not sold on the 285 (or any multiple core gpu card ) yet. Go raid over a 10krmp single drive.... spend a lousy 20 bucks and put a floppy drive in it...when you sitting there with the floppydisk for the raid controller drivers you will be kicking your self if you dont... biggest best cooler you can afford...just take that stock one and donate it to someplace... newegg.com for parts...and pay attention to the reviews.. ask,,,ask...ask...ask....cant do enought asking...

going to assume you mean everything on the screen shutters,,,not just the terrain,,, not sure if this might be microstuttering...but, as long as i found this page,,will post the link to it. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/18665-13...al-texture-size have to read down a bit, before you find anything that might be applicable.. Might be helpfull if you posted your settings in your nvidia control panel.. and the resolutions your posting,,you set those in cfs3config, and not just in desktop properties?
