  1. May the glinting and Enhancements be another thing, but the shadowing is definitely something that would - and should - be there. Looks much more realistic. I'm glad, that this will be in the sim at some point of development.
  2. I can only guess; I think it's Gaelic, which I think is Celtic inheritage.
  3. ...like this song? Brenda Wootton is the spelling...
  4. Hauksbee, just draw the "golden manekin" from the GoogleMaps scale into the roads there and have some long walks through Cornwall (by clicking on the road in front of you). There are still no highways - it isn't called "Land's End" for nothing. (Soundtrack: John Surman "Road to St. Ives")
  5. You wonder how the gunner should do his job in case of an attack? His moving-space is extremely limited.
  6. Hmmm... - a problem of one of the mods seems to be, that it creates shadows within the Lozenge camo, where no shadows = no imprints should be? I must say I like the original WOFF clouds, as they are.
  7. Ah, I understand, Corsaire. I also have a real flight/pilot's book. My second victory and claim with Jasta 5 in August 1917. See also the "Reports..." thread.
  8. Maybe you guys should use BOTH hands for counting? Mmuahahahahaaa!!!
  9. Reminds me of the idea to use a Full-HD TV - did you ever think of doing that? With my Toshiba Regza 37" TV it is marvellous vision - each time I move it over here, I am amazed, how well I regocnise even distant aircraft.
  10. No, the people there know the sea and wouldn't build like that. Sennen Cove is built behind a natural barrier of rocky riffs - otherwise there'd be no beach - it would all get washed away.
  11. No problem - we could start a new "Screenshot Quiz" thread. Or you could try "Edit" and then click "Use full editor" - maybe there it's possible?
  12. Well, if it can be cleaned, that's good. I had ordered a new monitor after Xmas and flying the first mission on it, I saw 4 enemy planes approaching - until I realised, there were 4 pixels "broken"; the background LED lighting was too dark. Of course I sent it back.
  13. Yep, Sennen Cove - I have been bathing at their sandy beach in 1973 (oh, the memories!...) Cornwall is very beautiful! But you could say that for the most parts of England.
  14. Raaahhh!!! A paratrooper with a Dragunov! I only know these guns from the game STALKER (where they were very effective long-range sniper guns). Fortunately I can say: no, there were no other (visible) planes around, and Corsaire, BurningBeard and Snail got it right: 7 Albatros were with me. Adger, I guess, you counted my craft too?
  15. They had the Morane Parasol then, didn't they? And that worked alright for you? Great job! So you also have a Jasta 5 pilot, only earlier - mine flies in August 1917. Getting really tough for him - he meets S.E.5 aces, and Bristol Fighters...
  16. Yeah, I gave that up: to start from the beginning. I would never get to the Albatros D.V that way...
  17. Jasta 5 had a nice afternoon out - until we got jumped by flying pigs!
  18. Beating one fear with another panic, eyh? Nurses...
  19. Widow, perhaps you should re-name this thread (if you can) "The WOFF Quiz" or something like that? Here is one from me. How many of my Jasta 5 companions are circling over Epinoy airfield here with me (my Alb not incl.) ?
  20. Hey, nice to hear from you, Tony! Sounds good to me so far - what does "a lot of bleach" mean in this context?
  21. Try the Bristol Fighter - and turn the hunter into the game!
  22. Damn, look at the pockmarked land down below - will the trees ever grow back? Good luck for your shizzoid carreers with both your 2seats, Corsaire!
  23. Hmmmm... I'm rather bad at guessing distances, but I say: 5000 feet? Good idea, Widow - maybe there are several ways to quiz with screenshots?
  24. You lucky islanders with your many small local breweries - a beer-trip through England should be fun!
  25. Should be a snug little Pub - without the flood water. First time you'd wish your Pub was dry, I suppose?
