SAAB J-35P Dragão (Dragon) for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 (Israel or Merged) I modded the fictional F-13 Draken from Spinners to make it look like a fictional fighter and recon plane for the portuguese air force. BACKGROUND The original intention of the portuguese government was to equip 2 entire squadrons, the 201st and the 301st, with F-16. After another evaluation of the financial capabilities, one squadron could not be equipped with the Falcon. Saab, having just signed the contract with Mitsubishi for the licensed Draken, also offered Portugal the option for the license of this plane. After doing some calculation, Portugal decided not to buy the license, but to equip the 301st sqaudron with an adapted Draken, which was then called "Dragão". INSTRUCTIONS 1. Drop the folders into your Objects Folder. If asked to overwrite, click yes. CREDITS Lud von Pipper -- Lead 3D Modeller BPAO -- Additional 3D Modeling Sony Tuckson -- Textures and Decals Crab_02 -- Weapon and Drop Tank Models column5 -- Flight Model and INI files Matthew Ouellette -- Bare Metal Skin Skin - Hoarmurath Jug - Landing lights, Taxi lights, ECM, Flares and Chaff mod. File Name: [Fictional] Saab/Mitsubishi JF-35F Draken File Submitter: ValAstur File Submitted: 29 May 2011 File Category: What If Hangar SAAB/Mitsubishi JF-35J Draken for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 I modded the fictional F-13 Draken from Spinners to make it look like a fictional fighter and recon plane for the japanese self defense force. BACKGROUND Due to some cuttings in the budget of the military administration, the JASDF was forced to look for some suitable substitute for the Starfighter, which became more and more expensive in maintenance. US-Planes still remained expensive, Soviet planes were no alternative due to pacts Japan was bound to. Sweden, as a neutral country not belonging to the Warsaw Pact, offered a good alternative with the J-35 Draken. Japan ordered two complete squadrons and dropped the Starfighter. INSTRUCTIONS 1. BACKGROUND The HA.200 Saeta, the precessor of the Hidalgo, was Spains first real jetfighter. But it didn't have enough power to stand a dogfight. So it was degraded to a trainer for the spanish piloting school. While trying to improve the plane and creating the HA.220 Super Saeta, another team of Hispano-Suizas R&D department was involved in the planification and construction of a plane able to be some worthy opponent in close dogfights. Three years later, the Hidalgo did it's maiden flight. The US was shocked about the capabilities of this tiny plane. Spain used this plane for long time, offering US-pilots a chance to test their dogfighting skills in their F-86 Sabres. The plane presented here was part of the Ala 6. INSTRUCTIONS 1. 10. Does anybody know by chance if there is a template around for the stock F-8x?
  11. Jolly Rogers LoViz he? Looking good. Any HiViz-Version planned?
  12. I thought about it and decided to change it. I hope this one is more of the liking...
  13. Well...that's a good point. I will take that into consideration.
  14. Hey Praetor Your Tomcat-Skins are no match for me, but I hope you like this one...
  15. I don't think they consider. But it really would be cool. Concerning the USN Flanker: I think Spinners has made a USAF Flanker long time ago for SFP1. But I can try to do one if you want to.
  16. I'd do everything to fly this in this camo...
  17. Hey folks I was creating a decal for my fictional Su-33/C-23 and did everything as always. But for some reason, the decal shows up creating a big black cross on the hull of the plane (see picture). Maybe someone from the more skilled people around might be able to tell me how to fix it? Greets naz
  18. And plz also fix the LAU-115C Launchersystem for the AMRAAM. It does not fire any missiles. Can't even see it in the weapons bay.
  19. Am I the only one with the problem, that with the new data.ini a big green slimer appears in the cockpit...right in the HUD?

Egal was ich mache. Vielleicht erbramt sich jemand und zeigt es mir...ich bin sehr lernfähig. Danke im Voraus Naz

Hat sich erledigt. Weiss jetzt wie es geht
  22. Hello guys. I'm new to the skinner scene , but still have some probs when working with GIMP. I wanted to reskin the camo from the F-4E for the fictional MiG-33 with the aim of creating a Navy skin for the plane, but I'm still a bit clumsy Maybe some of the pro's in here could give me some hints. Here is what I get when I paint the camo blue while choosing the color to change. How do I get the stains and spots away and get a plain blue skin out of it?
  23. I live in Essen-Bedingrade, but that won't help me reskin the plane

SETTING Before Spain got the AV-8 Harrier for maritime service, a plane with sufficient capabilities for sea-attack and dogfight was needed. After some checking of cost and use of several planes, the spanish ministery of defense decided to buy the F-8 Crusader and to build them under license. No changes were made. Simply the name was different. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Drop the Folders into your Strike Fighters Mod Folder. CREDITS Big Thanks to Thirdwire for the games and the superb models they have.
