[Fictional] Dassault-Breguet Sagette (Arrow)
ValAstur posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
File Name: [Fictional] Dassault-Breguet Sagette (Arrow) File Submitter: ValAstur File Submitted: 01 July 2011 File Category: What If Hangar Dassault-Breguet Sagette (Arrow) for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 (Europe or Merged) I modded the stock MiG-21SM from SFP:E to make it look like a fictional fighter for the french air force. BACKGROUND After the retirement of the Farandole II, several french fighter wings got the Mystere IVA. Complaints about lacking engine power and fire power led to the development of the Sagette, which was a more versatile and powerful fighter, easy to fly and and with reasonable armament. This plane entered active service in 1971, replacing the Mystere IVA. This plane was also able to carry the new R530 IR and radar guided missiles, which gave the plane even more firepower. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Drop the the folders into your Strike Fighters mod folder. CREDITS Big Thanks to Thirdwire for the games and the superb models they have. Also big thanks to Spinners for his decals. Enjoy NazGhul Click here to download this file -

[Fictional] IAI/Mikoyan Gurevych MiG-29I Shu'Al (Fox)
ValAstur posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
File Name: [Fictional] IAI/Mikoyan Gurevych MiG-29I Shu'Al (Fox) File Submitter: ValAstur File Submitted: 01 June 2011 File Category: What If Hangar IAI/Mikoyan Gurevych MiG-29I Shu'Al (Fox) for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 (Israel or Merged) I modded the MiG-29 from The Mirage Factory to make it look like a fictional fighter and recon plane for the israeli air force. BACKGROUND During the first Iraq War in 1991, a group of iraqi MiG-29 decided to desert trying to escape the fate their comrades faced against the overwhelming power of the USAF, US Navy and their allies. Their escape ended over the Golan Heights, where they were intercepted by a entire squadron of F-15 Baz and F-16 Netz patrolling. Due to some misunderstanding between the deserters and the defending pilots, two MiG-29 were shot down and the remaining ones got escorted to the Ramat David Airbase. Israel handed the pilots over to the US for further interrogation and kept the MiGs for studies. The capabilities of the plane convinced the commanders of the IDF. Israel offered Mikoyan Gurevych a offer for the license they could not refuse to accept, since MiG suffered a lot financially after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The MiG-29 was modified by IAI. Two years later, the first MiG-29I Shu'Al did it's maiden flight on the 24th of June 1993. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Drop the folders into your MODS Folder. If asked to overwrite, click yes. CREDITS All credit belongs to ALL the members of The Mirage Factory for their fantastic work they did with this model. Special credit goes to Oliver Anguille for his effort and hard work. May he rest in peace. Also big thanks to dast24 for porting the plane to SF2-Standards. A job well done. Old readme from the original SFP1-Model is included. For any further questions don't hesitate to contact me. Kindest regards NazGhul Click here to download this file -

No, it sadly does not come with rear firing missiles. In fact, this is a beta model from capun. Still needs some tweaking and fm model optimizing -

Think in Яussian... -

[Fictional] C-24 / C-24B Super Hornet
ValAstur posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
File Name: [Fictional] C-24 / C-24B Super Hornet File Submitter: ValAstur File Submitted: 20 June 2011 File Category: What If Hangar [Fictional] C-24 / C-24B Super Hornet This is a mod of the Super Hornets E and F from EricJ to make them look like planes from the spanish air force. BACKGROUND: In 2010, command of the EDA asked for the possibility of replacing their EF-18As and Bs with the more advanced E and F versions. Diplomacy made it possible that the Obama administration would take the old planes back and make a special offer. In 2012, the first squadrons received the new planes. Since the former Hornets wore the designation "C-15", the Super Hornets ought to have been designated C-15VA and CB-15VA, but these designations were too long so the Super Hornets were then called "C-24". INSTALLATION: Simply drop the Folders into your Strike Fighters Mods Folder. ALL READMES FROM THE ORIGNIAL MODELS ARE INCLUDED. CREDITS: EricJ – Purchased Model of F/A-18F from http://www.mesh-factory.com, Main texture artist, ini editing. FastCargo – 3D model work for all versions. Used some of his images for reference. JAT81500 – FM, ini adjustments, decals. Dave – Decals and always a swell guy. Also did the Hangar and Loading Screens. Reference photos. Also for modifying some weapons for SF2, and for adjusting his afterburner texture from the Eagle Superpak. Vampyre – Technical Reference and consultant who works with the aircraft on a daily basis. Column5 – Use of the Mirage Factory F/A-18A Textures, and FM data adapted from the MF F/A-18A. AmokFloo – Initial optimization of the F/A-18F model. Bpao – F/A-18A pit used with permission. STORM – F/A-18E Loading Screen Image, taken from his special vantage point. starfighter2 – Newer RWR texture. Serverandenforcer – F/A-18F FM tweaking. Silverbolt – Extracting the textures for the cockpit for SF2. MigBuster – Tutorials in the Knowledge Base for adapting the aircraft to SF2. SidDogg – Assistance with getting the VFA-102 CAG bird tanks right. Spillone104/Spectre8750 – Custom sound, Spillone104 for initial, and Spectre8750 for tweaking. ArturR: For his use of his avionics mod. FastCargo mentioned it and after checking it out was impressed… Thanks! Enjoy. NazGhul Click here to download this file -

SAAB J-35P Dragão (Dragon) for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 (Israel or Merged) I modded the fictional F-13 Draken from Spinners to make it look like a fictional fighter and recon plane for the portuguese air force. BACKGROUND The original intention of the portuguese government was to equip 2 entire squadrons, the 201st and the 301st, with F-16. After another evaluation of the financial capabilities, one squadron could not be equipped with the Falcon. Saab, having just signed the contract with Mitsubishi for the licensed Draken, also offered Portugal the option for the license of this plane. After doing some calculation, Portugal decided not to buy the license, but to equip the 301st sqaudron with an adapted Draken, which was then called "Dragão". INSTRUCTIONS 1. Drop the folders into your Objects Folder. If asked to overwrite, click yes. CREDITS Lud von Pipper -- Lead 3D Modeller BPAO -- Additional 3D Modeling Sony Tuckson -- Textures and Decals Crab_02 -- Weapon and Drop Tank Models column5 -- Flight Model and INI files Matthew Ouellette -- Bare Metal Skin Skin - Hoarmurath Jug - Landing lights, Taxi lights, ECM, Flares and Chaff mod.
