Field transfer mission repeating itself

I keep the messages on, Duce. I think I just missed that one. -
Reason for screen name....
badgerboy replied to DukeIronHand's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I have used 'Storkace' on a lot of forums, etc, but I figured if there was ever a forum where that name would already be taken, it would be here. So I decided on my current name as I live in the Badger State. Probably too much information, but nickname was given to residents of this state due to lead miners from Cornwall living in the sides of hills. -
What kind of R/C plane is that in the photo? Looks like a DR1/DVII fusion.

Field transfer mission repeating itself
badgerboy replied to Fliegenhund's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Duce- can't remember if I got any messages about the mission ending, it's possible but I was too busy to read anything . Olham- You must not have been flying a Pfalz- or else you would have been in big trouble. But this game is incredible. It seems like everytime you go up something new happens. I can't wait for Phase 4, as I feel once the awards/promotions are sorted out that this is going to be the best flight sim ever (very close now). -
Field transfer mission repeating itself
badgerboy replied to Fliegenhund's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I had a field transfer mission, got to the new aerodrome and there were enemies near. I stayed up with my squadron for quite some time, hoping the opposition would attack as they had a several thousand foot height advantage. Unfortunately they didn't so I landed. Once I was on the ground, then they swooped down and started attacking my squadron (incredible AI, I like to think it wasn't coincidence). I started up my SE5a and got back up into the fight and shot down three craft. It was just about the best mission I've ever had, almost like it was scripted. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to claim the kills, the claim sheet never came up. I now understand that once you've landed, the mission is over apparently. Then the mission repeated itself anyway and I had to advance to next day to get out of the loop so it didn't matter I suppose. It was great fun however. -
RNAS- What plane are you flying? Based on your name, I'd guess a Sopwith product. Are you having trouble staying alive or getting kills, or both?

You pretty much hit on it, to keep fast food supplied, that's the problem. We are NOT a race of carnivores, we are a race of omnivores. Most of the world gets that, but many of us here in the US of A don't. We have never in the course of human history eaten as much red meat and dairy products as we do here now in this country. Maybe if the meat wasn't so cheap (which equals poor quality, feces in your big mac, etc) we wouldn't eat so much.

Welcome, Walter Mitty (forgot to add that to last post). BTW, James Thurber is one of my favorite writers of all time, and came from the same hometown as Eddie Rickenbacker, Columbus, OH.

what plane are you flying?

Regarding the cows, they didn't evolve to eat corn (cows come from central Asia, ate wheat and barley and related grasses, while corn is a new-world crop). They don't digest the corn well and it makes them sick, which is why they are all on antibiotics and constantly farting and burping. That is why grass-fed beef is much healthier. Sorry to get off-topic but I couldn't help myself.

This looks really wonderful. Will really deepen the immersion factor and put the campaign on par (probably better than) RB3D. Will there be translations for those of us who aren't bilingual?

Adjusting enemy distance to stop warp
badgerboy replied to badgerboy's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I'll give it a try, thanks -
I'm with you, Rickity.

You're right, Rickity! Nice of you to say that, some people in our respective states aren't so cordial, at least not during football season . Olham, I'm in De Pere, Wisconsin, USA, in the NE part of the state. Uncleal- I'll try clipping my wingtip to see if that works.
-
Hi all- I know you can't see damage on your machine with the high res models, but I am not using these and still never see any bullet holes, wing damage, etc(and I know I'm getting shot up real good  ). Do I have to adjust the sliders on the graphics configuration? I'm pretty sure right now I have everything but one (not the airplanes) set at 5.

If you hit Alt-esc when your claims form is up, it will minimize this so you can get some names from your claim form, then hit alt-esc again to bring it back up.

Adjusting enemy distance to stop warp
badgerboy replied to badgerboy's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I tried that Olham. I thought that might be the case, so I set my TAC at 2 miles instead of 8, but I still came out of warp when the enemy flight was between 4 and 8 miles away. Well, it sounds like this isn't a simple case of adjusting something in one of the OFF files. Would be a great modification for Phase 4 -
Adjusting enemy distance to stop warp
badgerboy replied to badgerboy's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I just find that I'm often pulled out of warp and discover some high-flying 2 seaters that have no intention of engaging me and I have no chance at engaging them so we fly parallel flight paths, preventing me from getting where I want to go faster. If there was a way to adjust this to say 2 miles, it would be nice. It seems to be between 8 and 4 miles now, possibly affected by elevation differences. -
Does anyone know how to adjust the distance that enemy craft will cause you to come out of warp?

Widowmaker is coming....
badgerboy replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
The Experimental Aircraft Association convention is in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in late July/early August. Lots of warbirds, mainly WW2 but an occasional WW1 replica as well. We don't have any dude ranches in Wisconsin, just dairy cattle. We do have great fishing in northern WI and of course there's Lake Michigan. -

I second that, Widowmaker. Happy belated Canada Day from your neighbors to the South1 -

Great pics, Jimko! Thanks for sharing. I'm campaigning with RFC 11 right now, flying a Brisfit. Did you take any pics of the F2b? -
