I say give the man a cigar!

Many thanks, I must be getting old age symptoms. I should have caught that. Lack of due diligence on my part!

Olham; How and where to you apply fuel loading if not directly in the flight model. Am I missing something in OFF P3 where you can specify fuel loading. All I see is an option to load bombs or rockets. Best Regards;

Hi Gaw; Interesting Point, I never looked at this before. I use warp very often so I guess you just gave me a heads up. Tnx

HPW FM and EW Campaign Mod 3.1 now available
rjw replied to Herr Prop-Wasche's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
This suggestion usually results in an increase in number of flights made and hours total for a pilot which is undesirable to have in the pilot log. I'm not sure if this will be reflected in the OFFbase statistics either. Is there some way to prevent this skins problem in a future release? Best Regards; -

Yes very nice Diorama and I see your point about the fence. It is clearly too short. Yes I also was a member of PMCI in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for a number of years...specialized in WWII armour (mostly German). Gave me lots of pleasure. Sill have some kits unbuilt which I keep saying I need to tackle. (Someday!!). Best Regards; -

Olham; Very nice photo to go with the map data. Wouldn't it be nice to find photos like this and build in clickable links on the map surface! It's technically feasible but I bet so few great photos exist to make it all encompassing. Nevertheless it would be great! You are a wealth of historical info... -

Olham; This old map? Is it available online and how much of the WWI front does it cover? Also worth note that if you add the "Topographic" layer to the New Map online, it appears to show a building where the Factory/Jasta would have been located. -

I hear you Human Drone, but if the maps in WOFF are much better, we may have the ability to print or download or as you have said, for those with dual monitors the option may be there to have the map up and available during flight. Best Regards; -

Kaa; Very useful report! ince we don't knoiw yet, the extent of changes going into WOFF, it is hard to say whether or not you will need those maps when WOFF is released, but it would do no harm investigate using them in P3. Maybe Polovski will be able to comment on the state of maps in WOFF. Thank you for posting. I will be checking those maps out for sure. Best Regards; -
Lothar; I have posted this question on SimHQ as well for those who might be interested in your reply. Can we customize the pilots photos so we can choose which one we would like to use, or even add our own photos? Best Regards;

The Strafe Of The Kite Balloon
rjw replied to RAF_Louvert's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Have to agree with you on this point Lou. I get an empty feeling at the end of the poem, and it is written with some knowledge of tactics. Thanks for posting it and I will have to locate the books you mentioned online. -

Jeez! Guys!! If you keep me thinking that far ahead, I may have to consider changing my mailing address to my burial plot in order to receive my copy of WOFF!!!

A 1940's Northrup Flying Wing...restored.

I'm probably not the first to come to this conclusion, but If our governments would financially back technical and medical advancement to the same extent that they back war efforts, think of what we could achieve!! -
Andy; CaptSopwith said it all!!! Marvelous piece of work. One of the best mods I have ever installed. Cudos!!

Hi Olham; I see the Northrop as a poor cousin of the Horten 2-29, a beautiful looking craft ahead of it's time in design. : See links below: http://news.national...hter-plane.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horten_Ho_229#Operational_history -
Hi Tony; I tend to agree with the other posts. You must have used up all your bad luck by now! I wish you a quick healing. I live in Lindsay so I know what kind of wind you were dealing with on the road that day. I refused to go out because of it. Wish you all the best and take care!

I have noticed that whenever I have a Railyard attack mission and I target the railyard and then direct my squad to attack with the "A" key, they always fail to do so. It seems I am the only one who goes in. The last time I went on one of these missions, I took a loadout of bombs and then bombed the designated target following which I sent in my squad, but they just loafed around with me at high altitude. I also suspect that when I choose a loadout, mys squad mates don't do the same as they seem to be flying clean. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Are my squad mates too smart to take the risk which is usually high when you go in to strafe! And is it normal that they do not get a bomb load when I choose it for the mission. I always fly as flight leader. Best regards
-
Herr Prop-Wasche, I see your point now I think. It's a question of what OFF thinks a "Strike" mission is or what it might substitute if it doesn't know what to do with it, Right? You may be correct, I'll have to look more closely.
-
Glad to hear the good news Britisheh! Looks like you have it all now, Great ride and Promising new mate!!! They say good and bad things come in three's. I wonder what the next wonderful event will be!!! Live long and prosper!!

Herr Propwasche and Britisheh; I have read your replies quoted below. In particular Herr Propwasche's comment that "but with OFF, the "clean" loadout contains what might be called the "default" ordnance for the particular aircraft." is not clear to me. The mission "Briefing Room" has a "loadout" at the bottom of the screen that can be set to (4) 25lb Cooper Bombs, or (8) Le Prieur Rockets. The default is "None" if you do not change the "loadout" on this screen. Your answer "but the answer might be contained in these small differences." seems rather vague to me. If I select a loadout, it only applies to my aircraft, so my squad mates always seem to fly "Clean" therfore I don't see why they won't attack the railyard since it is not defined as a bombing mission. If you refer to my original post, I only tried the loadout of bombs because my squad failed to attack when I starten the mission clean. Can you please clarify your statement to me as I'm not getting your point of view. Thanks!

Thanks HouseHobbit; I was beginning to think I was going Barmy!!!
