[WIP] Target Area Editor
Fightingirish replied to mue's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I'm looking for a wee bit of support in using this tool. I am having the same problems as Raven reported way back in Page 1 of this post - i.e. I get a CTD when I try to load the terrain/target areas to edit. I've followed the instructions in the readme - e.g. path to terrain ini, etc - with no success. Does the editor work on a fully merged SF2NA install??.......or do I have to have a seperate install without SF2NA?? Any help/support would be gratefully received. -

In my case I discovered it was a couple of dodgy stabilizer entries in the data.ini rather than the text file encoding -

Start/end dates (...yes I've read the knowledge base!)
Fightingirish posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Hi guys, Please dont shoot me for asking this question. 'Ive read through the knowledge base for changing start/end dates i.e. changing the options.ini file (single mission, dogfighthost and coop mission) This has worked for SF2E but I just cant get it to work on SF2I. Could it have anything to do with the 'Load mission' entry in 'Single mission' which reads: LoadMissionFilename=C:\Users\Bry & Kay\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Israel\Missions\640802_TONKIN_GULF_INCIDENT.MSN Any help would be appreciated, Cheers. -

Cheers guys!! Well, good news is it works now. Followed what Tiopilotos/Wrench said, but putting the unpacked/modified IsraelME.ini in terrains folder didn't work. Replacing the IsraelME.cat file with the extracted Israel.ME files (ini file modified) did work. Job done! Thanks again. -

Yeah I figured that. For some reason it shows in my SF2I options. I did a merge install in this order: SF2, SF2V, SF2E, SF2I, SF2 EP1, SF2 EP2 -

Service start/end dates not working.
Fightingirish posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Just reinstalled SF2 E and patched to May 11 but have discovered that Service start/end dates for add on planes are not working. An example of this was for B-1B (03). In the data.INI, start/ end dates are as follows: [MissionData] NationName=USAF ServiceStartYear=2003 ServiceEndYear=2025 But in mission builder service dates show as: Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
