Thanks Duce! I got them two weeks ago, they are brother and sister. I got them from a breeder in Texas, and I ended up having to fly her and the dogs out to me in Florida because they were too small to fly in the cargo hold. They are the most behaved and sweetest dogs that I have ever had, and they keep a good lookout for the Hun in the sun for me when were out on patrol! Nice to hear your doggie is healthy and livin the good life over there! I attached some more photos of em here if you wanna see. Chihuahua puppies Aj & Jolie.pdf -

Upgraded from three 4:3 monitors to three 16:10s

Having gone from a single 30" 2560x1600 monitor, to a triple monitor setup of 20" x 30" x 20" in a 4960x1600 SoftTH setup, to a triple 4:3 20" in a 4800x1200 eyefinity setup, I have now gone to triple Dell U2410s in a 6048x1200 eyefinity setup and I must say WOW! The 4800x1200 setup was good (and I now have those monitors for sale on ebay, a 30" dell 3007wfp for sale on ebay and my XFX 5870 for sale on ebay, PM if interested), but the triple widescreen is even more immersive. I don't know what you guys can do to get around SWMABO, but you guys gotta come up with something because this is just amazing! Heres a picture gallery of my monitor configuration morping over the last year, lol. A 30" 2560x1600 flanked by two 20.1" 1600x1200s Three Dell 2007FPs in eyefinity at 4800x1200 Three Dell 2007FPs in eyefinity with the bezels stripped off with a bezel corrected resolution of 5040x1200 And now three dell U2410s in eyefinity with a bezel corrected resolution of 6048x1200 -

Thats allot of fire power there morris, I am running two Toxic 5870 2Gbs in crossfire! But the problem is OFF does not do crossfire at all, so really you are only using one GPU with this fantastic game. I sold my 5970 because OFF does not take advantage of two GPUs and I was having issues where the two gpus would fight each other and cause worse frame rates! So far the 10.4s don't help much at all in terms of crossfire, in fact I would say they are the worst drivers yet for crossfire. Hopefully the final drivers are better then the preview drivers in that regard. In essence, you have four GPUs but OFF is only using one of them....and that just sucks! I WOULD BE SOOOO HAPPY IF OFF WOULD SUPPORT CROSSFIRE! -

Ah not at all Olham, stamp collecting gets all the babes! The thing is, the everything is not bigger on three screens, what I see on the monitor in front of me is what you would see on a single 24". Triple monitors shine because you get to see and other full monitor to your right and left, which creates realistic immersion. If you wanted things bigger, then I would suggest you go with a HD projector and blow up your picture to 120" -

Ah, yes, well I have to admit seeing your triple 24" setup inspired me :) My biggest concern was the extra 1,000 pixels of resolution width would tarnish my framerates, but your reports on good frame rates caused me to cave in and go triple wide. I am running a Sapphire Toxic 5870 2 GB, overclocked to 950mhz, with memory at 1225hz. -
Lots of screen tearing with new monitors
appraiserfl posted a topic in WOFF 1 2 3 / UE - General Help
Hi I never had any screen tearing with my 2007fp triple monitors, and I just got three Dell U2410's today and I am getting annoying screen tearing, it seems to just be relegated to OFF which is very strange. Any advice to fix this? How do you cap frame rates again? Is there a Vsync Option with OFF? -

Eh, I fixed the tearing issue! I updated the graphics drivers to 10.4a and that did the trick, now I am in triple widescreen goodness! Thanks for your replies guys! -
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

I don't understand this. Why must one commit to such a final act? Its the internet, come and go at your leisure, obviously you found something here at this site that entertained you so why cut it out completely? Just slow down your activity and take care of what you need to do in the real world and when you get 10 or 15 minutes when your bored you can always come back. There is no law that says you must be on for x amount of hours a day! -
I dunno maybe this is a bug or maybe my guy just had to go out the worst possible way for the longest period of time.... He had just become a confirmed ace and really should not have rammed that Fokker Endecker III after he ran out of bullets. I ended up having to escape out because this death immolation spiral was never ending.... Has this happened to anybody else?

Hey Morris I am running the 10.3a drivers on my vista 64, seems to be the best combo for me right now. I sold my 5970 and am just using my 5870. Hey Siggi, It doesnt bother me, my pilot was dead anyway and it was a spectacular way to go out lol.

How does your Force Feedback Joystick function in OFF?
appraiserfl replied to Duce Lewis's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Ive had the G940 for months and everything still works like new and I have put in a lot of flying time. My only criticism of the g940 is the less than ideal driver support for Window 7. They are supposedly doing a major driver overhaul, but that will take months if not a year to roll out. All said and done, it is the best system I have ever used. -
Thanks Morris, but I am running a 1000w psu myself and it was only pushing the 5970. Its bios was the latest and greatest, this is clearly a Vista 64 driver issue. The 9.12s handeled things by shutting down the cards ability for crossfire, in effect making it a downclocked 5870. The 10.2s and now the 10.3s try to open it up and allow it to operate as a duel gpu, but for games like OFF that don't use crossfire, you have the problem that I had. Like I said it seems to be a vista issue because I get much better frames in W7. The problem is my G940 is a disaster in W7, so I gotta play OFF in Vista. BUT all around my computer is much better with just the 5870, even my desktop is better, less grpahical lag and sluggishness. I will just sell the 5970 while it is still hot and can get almost all of my money back and then wait for a 2 gig memory card!
-
Hey VP, I do have a 5870 also and I just took out my Sapphire 5970 and put my XFX 5870 in and my FPS have shot up to 45-60fps with the exact same settings that I was using with the 5970! Also, things are much smoother everywhere else, simply moving windows around on my desktop is much smoother with the 5870 than the 5970. Looks like I may be ebaying the 5970 soon. I am curious however, why morris's 5070 is producing better frames, but that may be a W7 issue. UPDATE: I have attached the MSI performance chart for the 5800, you can see lots more activity and much higher peaks versus the 5900 and FPS are greatly improved and more stable. Yea, I am staying away from duel GPU cards from now on. gpu usage 5800.pdf
-
I attached a document showing my MSI GPU usage, you can see core 1 stays at 40% whether or not I am playing a game and GPU 2 spiked to 75% during play and then hit the floor and then went up to 40%. When I was using 9.12s it only used GPU1 and always maxed it to 90%+ and the game ran buttery smooth. These new drivers apparently do not know what to do with the two GPU cores and I am seriously considering just going back to my 5870 and selling the 5970. gpu usage.pdf

No it used to do that to me even back when I was using my Nvidia 8800 ultras, but I do get random grey screen lockups every now and then grrrrrrrr
-
It works but every five minutes the plane will force itself into a steep dive or steep climb and you have to take your hand off the stick and then grab it again for it to reset itself (the stick has a sensor in the handle to sense if you are holding it). It is very annoying and I am assuming its a Windows 7 issue because it does not do it on my Vista side.

OFF in 5760x1200 Eyefinity - Works PERFECTLY!
appraiserfl replied to kondor999's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Welcome to the Triple Screen Club Kondor! I am running 4800x1200 with trackIr5 and a logitec G940 and love the immersion! If you are daring and wanna take it to the next level, may I suggest stripping the bezel covers off and mounting to a Ergotec triple mount. I did that and cut the bezel space in half! -
It seems to run better on my Windows 7 version, but my G940 works like poo with windows 7 :(
-
I actually get worse performance with these over the 9.12s. I am running a 5970 and when I used the 9.12s it seemed to only use one gpu at about 95-100% and I was getting 40-60fps. Using these 10.3s it appears to be using both gpus at around 40% each and there is a noticeable microstutter and I am getting 25-50fps :( I wish there was a way to tell it to make both gpus go at a full 90-100%. I don't wanna go back down to the 9.12s, so maybe I will take my 5970 out and just use my 5870 for now.

Reading SAGITTARIUS RISING for the first time.
appraiserfl posted a topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Based on praise from fellow OFFers I picked up a copy of Sagittarius Rising by Cecil Lewis and absolutely love it! I am taking the read slow, on a book like this it feels more alive to me if I only do a few pages at a time and let the stories absorb in. I finished Bloody April last week and really enjoyed that as well as it is a good historical account, but I prefer stuff like Sagittarius Rising as it is written directly from the horses mouth! Anybody have anymore recommendations for books similar to SR? Thanks!! -

Yes, well your man will be dead soon as I am sure he will meet up with my up and coming future ace of RFC56th, one Mr. Massive Jumblees, soon. You see I can brag about Massive Jumblees because he has already managed to survive the ramming of a train which landed him a cheery hospital stay of 20 days and now he just survived a very horrid shooting down, one which caused his damage meter to fall to 19 and his plane to be reduced to a smoldering pire. But the man carries on I swear! Massivie Jumblees is untouchable so you better beware up there! -
I just upgraded from TrackIR4 to TrackIR5 and it is substantially better! I would have upgraded much, much earlier had I known but the reviews made 5 sound like a minor improvement over 4. It is much, much better. Everything about 4 that I HATED is GONE! (stuttering panning, sticking screens, and jumbolaya mixmash when looking down too far). Get the five and don't look back!
