  1. Damn... looks like I gotta dust off the PSDs again. I'll probably do a couple or so, will have to see...
  2. There's a SF2 version of the TMF F-14 that Caesar did: As I think that'll be a better option with the skins than using the SF1 version. The reason I suggest this is that this is more modern and the skins would work properly without much effort.
  3. I use SF2: Europe as my main game to mod. Since I have the Complete I have the full 5-merged game at hand. But it doesn't matter that I use Europe as I can use all the aircraft and ships from NA or Vietnam, Israel, or the base SF2 game. I think it's just a matter of preference for which executable you use and doesn't really affect you as you have full access to the maps as well from the other game or games.
  4. More than likely the Data.ini of the aircraft, change the nationname= from whatever it is to USN and see if that'll put you on a regular carrier deck
  5. I know I'm no moderator but an F/A-18 painted black and an A-4N isn't a Mig by a longshot. Required screenie http://flanker56.com/SF2Screenshots/sf1605.JPG
  6. I usually press T and padlock the enemy jet. Unrealistic in a way but it helps with keeping focused on the bogey
  7. Agreed as if I run a modern setting I got so many SAMs and AAA that I don't know what to do but pray I survive. It's not that bad but it's something to worry about though.
  8. I don't think there are any devs like 3W devs, just players that know the game well, that modded it and just aware of many of the problems and features that the game has.
  9. There is no flight recorder in-game so you're out of luck with that.
  10. That's a good question, did you try it and see as I don't have Tacview to confirm or deny if it works.
  11. It's just how the game is coded so you know their is a kill, it happens with every plane. Then your wingman tells you that their firing a missile (other flights too) so you know what's going on. True, you can watch it on the radar display (or HUD depending on plane) as your kill goes down, but it just gives you situational awareness that's just a gameism.
  12. Make sure you have the Mission Editor expansion first (I don't remember as it came with the Complete, though it may be called Expansion pack 2 or something like that). Also make sure you have a carrier of course Before accepting a mission go through the mission editor (a small pencil icon on the bottom right of the mission) and edit that mission. Next add a carrier by selecting it from the ship icon on the top of the screen. Place it wherever you need it to. Next go to the aircraft button and select the fighter you want and then go to Home Base and select your carrier and your flight will automatically snap to the carrier. Edit anything else you want and go fly.
  13. Not Riveting used to be good in an earlier version of Photoshop, now it's purely annoying sometimes.
  14. You could try and edit the data.inis of various planes date range to be "4th gen" or scour the internet for 4th gen planes and then download them (if available) from the Downloads section. The game picks enemy fighters by userlist.ini and the nations setup in various maps, so you can see various types per map.
  15. No, they're slanted in real life so they will be slanted in the game.
  16. Yeah but wouldn't it randomly fire at a target if it was in range? If so then it would be very annoying as you can't tell it what to fire at.
  17. I would say don't do it. I never heard of anybody importing from SF1 to SF2 with campaigns as I'm quite sure the file structure is so different that you'd be better off making a new campaign in SF2 with what you want.
  18. There's already an S-300 around here somewhere, check the downloads. I believe angelp is working on an S-400, don't know about the S-500
  19. Lol those pesky wingmen... Seriously I don't know offhand, but I figure with all the moving around and all the flying on afterburner they burn more fuel doing whatever they do.
  20. I see, I usually level bomb around 10,000ft or so, or around that altitude, though I do it in a Super Hornet vs. a B-52 as well.
