  1. Okay couldn't decide between aileron or flaperons Thanks! Though due to laziness its mirrored on the bottom side as well. I don't think i need to go overboard with riveting either... Trying to give it obviously a more production look as possible. And messing around a little bit with the Shadowcat

I would say game focus as the famous quote was "to be able to fly a few nifty planes" (I know I butchered the quote) but I think it wasn't designed to be so complex like other games (LOMAC, DCS series, JT) so he didn't focus on stuff like aerial refuelling, ejection sequence (which is at the bottom of things I'd like to see) properly modeled, etc. So when it first came out it was cool but now the more experienced simmers (and new ones) want to see the "cool" features because we've invested a lot of time and effort and would like to see some more progress with the game than what has been currently seen. And we've also played simulations where the cool features were modeled but prefer it in this environment due to the ease of modding (at least in my world view).

The thing is that TW is three guys... not like when I was working with Ubisoft, which had mainly the Eagle Dynamics team and conversely MORE people (I think they had like twenty people on the payroll if I remember the photo right) so its to be expected as three guys are handling all the coding and texturing, and oh by the way we want to release a new game. Besides the more complex stuff you put in, the smallest change somewhere affects something somewhere else, so its only natural. But I do agree that we're doing the betatesting after release than prior. It's not good business where the buyer has to get to the point that the benefits aren't worth it. I still stick with it because really other than the spawning over the airfield, it's not bad. Besides the benefit to this game is that it doesnt't take long to exit, edit, and restart the game and get flying again. And to echo what JM said, it's this backlash that TK is aware of that they did a poll to see if it was better to take some time and work out what the problems are than trying to rush another patch out, because in the rush we have what we have. So unlike Ubisoft, which didn't give two sh!ts about public opinion on the matter, TK does care and unfortunately its this one bad WHOOPS that seems to have really gotten everybody.
  5. Thanks! I think I need to refine it but for some reason I wanted a unit emblem on there ASAP as opposed to nothing... silver skins sometimes can be so boring. More riveting work done on the "wingtips:" (I only call them becasue they are an actual moving surface as opposed to just wingtips, though roll sucks and I know it's not a complete FM)., a small demo is below the top image.

Just with the two tank configuration since I'm sure you don't have the bombs which is fine... Not sure if it's doable but one or two Es or Fs with full tanker four tanks and pod installed and tanks on the rest one on the centerline and one on the right inner (reflecting a combat configuration) and the few Gs just with two tanks. CVN-75.
  8. Yeah it's just a recolored version of the one I fly around all the time. When I was doing the IRIAF Tom I wanted to try it out and it works fairly well And no problem!

  11. I've used radar to cue (myself mainly visually) 9Xs during engagements, or stick with padlock most of the time.

  17. I think really (from my perspective) it wasn't known it was even doable. Even after years of being with this game (on and off I will admit) I still learn something every once in awhile. I figure had we known about it the community would have a plethora of mods available. Besides it depends on how much weapons it takes to fill it out for the aircraft (FC obviously knows but could be a grouping of models as opposed to one). And quite frankly the AIM-7E-2 isn't something I feel very confident in defending the ship anyways. Give it AMRAAMs and it can actually shoot down a threat for at least more modern installs.
  18. Yeah sounds like a plan as I have quite a few photos of deck configurations and not too sure at the moment.
  19. Fair enough but it could be just resizing it as the mod by Spectre8750 reduced down to something like 1536 x 1536 and it was still looking good off of the base setup so it can be approached by the end user that way.
  20. And could you use different skins or is it one skin?
