  1. It doesn't allow screenshots out of game, you can print screen but open something like Windoze Paint and paste and save there.
  2. Hey man I remembered your issue with the SA-10, and I may have gotten a "fix" for SF2. I say that because I'm still trying to get it to engage accurately at long range, which it didn't do, but the series of photos show that when you get closer in, it'll get you. Note the first misses are from following the profile from the tactical map. The last photo was another shot and I tried lowering my altitude, goading it to fire and... it got me. What I think the clincher for it hitting me is the HOJ function that you can add. I noticed this while watching an SA-2 sail over me in an A-6E in Afghanistan. It tried desperately to turn on me, but since it was so old, that it overflew me quite a bit.
  3. Yep from NF 4+ and the SEAD loadout, they were tasked to provide SEAD for me, but got hung up by that Stinger Site. For some reason the Vikhr's showed up, but it's (in the ini) 6 x UB-32, two tanks, and 2 x AA-8s.
  4. Nice stuff man, and a question, how much space will it take up on my HD?
  5. A Ukrainian AF pilot fires at at Taliban Stinger Site while conducting operations in Southwest Afghanistan, 2010.
  6. Not yet, I tried working that this past weekend and no joy.
  7. Well lets not get into the hijinks of the USAF now... but considering I'm still running November 2009 (I like my stuff to work fine, and it's good for now ) I'm good to go. Hey we actually work, so a little lazines is earned
  8. Indeed, no more needing to raid the SF1 section
  9. You can download a filter for Photoshop, called "Night Vision"
  10. Still pretty cool, that just an ini edit or?
  11. It's in the TextureSet.ini of each skin, the values are there, the higher the values, the higher gloss and such.
  12. Believe it or not, you don't need a profile for your stick. Simply go in to Options>Controls and customize your setup. In the controls folder is your options.ini file that you can backup and that is your profile
  13. True enough and that's why we fly how we do. I know when to bring a wingie and when not to, so agreed
  14. Two F/A-18Fs split upon recieving coordinates for Taliban insurgents in Northern Afghanistan.
  15. Iron bombs so far no... it's the guided variety they seem to want to level the whole Earth with, so no bombas for them. I don't take them on strike missions due to well, lack of ability to handle terrain of the mountainous kind (which has been a whole theme in my sim career). I have seen AI bomb drops of the continous kind in the Afghanistan from SEAD missions but that's about it.
  16. Well usually you have to target the enemy, using T (or R if Red Crown calls it for you). Once you got him "targeted" you can send your wingie after him and hopefully dust him off. I've had a Mig-35 on my butt in Iraq and I was trying to get him, I think I was Winchester or something) and he wouldn't engage, after repeated "Cover my six" calls. If you use them right they can work for you, it's just getting used to their idosyncracies is sometimes frustrating. Thats why on CAS missions I give my wingie Mavericks, so he doesn't miss and expend all of the bombs on one pass. Sometimes he's got a JDAM left over due to distance missions, but overall missiles are more useful than bombs. I just don't trust my wingman with them.
  17. Lt. Cater is a good expert on wingman management, but I tend to use wingnuts so far for CAS missions only and sometimes... I want to hit Y and smoke him myself... But on the whole I tolerate them for just that mission and Armed Recon. I don't need much intelligence, just enough to hit a target so I can get a success and RTB. I wish TK would improve that aspect. Alot of people swear by them, I just swear at them.
  18. Well I got hooked on that squadron ever since I saw the Lions Head on an F-14D. It's for some reason the coolest nose art ever. Also the wonderful brothers and sisters who'll help you out when you're getting shot at for real, my hats off to all of them, or beer mug... @Slartibartfast Actually Slartibartfast I pulled off a strike mission an hour ago in the AmericanNW map, blew up the hangar, and didn't even get locked on, or fire an AAM. I tend to also stay away from a BVR fight... but I have been known to shoot first and worry about it later
  19. The problem with the addons is just solved by digging in the SF2 portion of the KB. After ten minutes you can have an SF2 compliant addon, but even then you can run old SF1 stuff on it, just none of the "cool" features that SF2 allows you to do. Reason most people don't convert much is that it seems hard, which it isn't. Another thing, which admittedly got me, is that sheer number, so every so often I'll drop it in SF2, and adapt it as I go along, and been lazy on uploading some of them.
