  1. Hehe my last two runs last night on single player missions got me chewed up by flak twice. It's pretty intense. The SA-2s are easy to avoid but man....
  2. Check the KB No seriously, the best way is just alot of editing. You're going to have to edit the map so it sticks with a certain set, like the SF2V style, where it's limited from (if my mind serves me right) '65 to '74ish. You can still use modern stuff, but the usable year will only be the start year. Then with the plug and play weapons, just delete the folders of the weapons that you don't want and the game will adjust the weapondata it's own way to your deletion ideas. Because unlike SF1 series, a lot of of the setup is more customizable than the older version. While I still have alot of the older weapons still hanging around, I keep them around in case I switch planes and time periods (modern to 'Nam days right now) I still got the set going on.
  3. That requires scripting, which if you make the real carrier disappear a certain time after you take off. Then it replaces it with a destroyable "carrier". So far you can make things appear in game, but not disappear to make it work.
  4. Yes the aircraft has the right callouts, I use 331Killerbee's weapons pack for SF2 and Bunyap's when I still played SF1 series. Had em since day 1. Here is the excerpt from the DATA.ini [LaserPodStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=29 StationGroupID=5 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=-1.4227,-0.6249,-0.6361 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=460 AllowedWeaponClass= AttachmentType=USN SpecificStationCode= ModelNodeName=PODPylon MinExtentPosition=-1.591,-1.96,-0.973 MaxExtentPosition=-1.023,0.528,-0.435 [RightSparrowStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=30 StationGroupID=5 StationType=SEMI_RECESSED AttachmentPosition=1.295,-1.614,-0.727 AttachmentAngles=0.901,-1.176,0.0 MissileRollAngle=-45.0 EjectVelocity=0.0,0.0,-2.0 LoadLimit=460 AllowedWeaponClass=SAHM,AHM AttachmentType=USN MinExtentPosition= MaxExtentPosition= Matter of fact here's a snap of me returning from a strike mission, and an AMRAAM on the right cheek station:
  5. I would never suggest something like that
  6. Starting off the new year with a bang...
  7. Looks like Stary should have paid the landscapers better
  8. Thanks for the campaign link allen... a little tweaking and it can be modernized. Matter of fact I switched the Iranian to enemy, so now you're doing strikes from Iraq into Iran.
  9. And another mod related question. Any expansion of the VC camps? Or you waiting on swambast's target translator to hopefully come back so you can mod that?
  10. I'd doubt it, just hit burners and you should be okay...
  11. Haha no, apparently that was my second attempt at nuking it, and it hit right on, but didn't do Jack, so I exited and bombed a road bridge with a GBU-10 instead. Getting used to the old skool guided bombas though....
  12. If my mind serves me, the Himalaya airbases are MEDIUM, and the B-1B requires a LARGE airfield at a minimum. If you create it as a single custom mission it loads fine.
  13. Have to say future_tuskegee_airman has gotten me kinda interested in the 'Nam shots. Dropping something off.
  14. Seriously it's not hard, it's just alot of copying, pasting, and editing. Takes about ten minutes.
  15. Nope, best bet to do that is to download an SF1 version, and then go through this topic: http://forum.combatace.com/topic/44026-converting-older-planes-to-work-in-sf2-a-basic-guide-by-migbuster/
  16. No problem. On a personal note/opinion, alot of the stuff eburger68 and team cannot control due to game mechanics, rather than mod mechanics. Like everything else, it's just an addition, not so much a modification of the game programming itself. Best thing to do is hit the Knowledge Base, or ask before going to eburger68 (which IMHO has done a good job of customer service).
  17. Backup your stuff, and reinstall the game. Sometimes if you delete the entry in Windows Programs and Features the sound won't correctly (or won't for that matter) play. It happened to me a while ago and reinstalling it fixed it. Or update your sound drivers if there is an entry in your Programs and Features.
  18. And more of a request... Parani sets too?
  19. Not really, as the 1990 issue is the start year, which if not fixed, it will go off of that, not so much the "in-between" years that the plane is supposed to be flying. Had the same issue and that tweak fixed the problem.
