  2. Just checked them out in an Afghanistan mission, and not too shabby man, very nice so far
  3. And unstuck... and limited... unfortunately I think the game coding only allows for a max of four gun barrels... unfortunately I can't get the effect I want, but it's still neat nontheless.
  4. True enough, but the biggest concern is getting the barrels to elevate and depress... kinda stuck on that one.
  5. More work... Course now the question is... pivot points? special animations? We got the notes but it still is unclear on how to make the turret rotate as well as the gun assembly.

  10. I'm sure it is, just some fanagaling. Even then though... it'd still be cool to fly them, like the top wireframe aircraft anyways.
  11. More texture tweaking for the SH. Pureblue has helped me understand a few things I'm missing, and looks like I have to take some time and really delve back into 3ds max... it's been so long but he's helped me with some pointers so hopefully I can get the calliope in game, someday.. Two weeks as usual, but all the "default" aircraft have the new exterior engine nozzle textures applied and once I get the internal textures done, I'll apply it to them as well.

    No, I think I wasn't clear on that, the targeting pod was pretty much the enhancement from the A model, which if my mind serves me, the NAW version had the LANTIRN, and maybe FLIR (wpnssgt?) too. Least what I remember from an old book when I was a kid. The C model has a Litening III and NVGs, so I misspoke I would say, as it doesn't have a radar. Sorry about that.

    Yes, the NAW (Night Adverse Weather) version. It can be found in the "A-10 Version 3.0" in the SF1/WoX download section. But from a historical and practical view, the A-10C is practically the "NAW" version that seemed so "cool" back then is commonplace with the C version.
  14. Update your drivers and see if that doesn't fix it. Because if I read it right, the 6600GT isn't a cheap card, and should run all three (especially WOE) fine. Also check your DirectX and see if that's not the culprit either.
  15. Yes and no. I've landed and done touch and gos on the runways. Of course I'm using the Super Hornet, which has a better short field length capability than a '60s vintage aircraft. One key point though, is to put the nose at the runway and immediately hit the speed brake, lower your speed to like around 150-200 knots on the threshold (of course watch sink rate), and as soon as your tires hit, activate the brakes. It can be done, just requires some finesse and knowing your aircraft capabilities. Of course for argument you can say because I'm in a "clean" configuration it's easier, but I can still do that with five tanks.
  16. In game, I can see it fine in max... And yes, I get both a .lod and .out files..
  17. Well through a good friend, I managed to get a hold of 3ds max... only problem is now the model above I exported with the right plugin, and no see no model. Something I'm forgetting? Because I do have it as a named selection (so far) and so far not sure what to do.
