  1. Heheh the best defense is offense
  2. As I've mentioned a few times.. been having issues with weapon models not appearing... got the latest drivers, etc. Windoze Vista SP2, and just Strike Fighters 2: Europe. I got KB's weps, etc. etc. But the issue I'm having (which I've narrowed down) is either it's a bug on SF2:E because it's repeatable. First it was AAMs, got that figured out, and fine. Now it's LGBs and laser Mavs. Figured this out from switching a IIIR Mav to Laser, and no see missile... I run it through the Weapons Editor and everything else shows up. I'd like to say operator error, but erm... I'm not totally retarded on working the issue. So what's the deelio? I mean granted the aircraft recognizes the weapons, they fire... but it's just odd to fly around with no weapons on. So methinks it's a glitch in the Matrix. I'm sure somebody's got no issues, but after three reinstalls, and no worky.... gonna have to bug that one.
  3. Well... do what you gotta do You can still outrange the SA-10 with a HARM shot, the trick it actually hitting the radar, which is setup for you to miss, but still it's a threat, but one that can be avoided if you are paying attention.
  4. Just be careful though, I've just flown a test mission, and SA-10.. I would say a good 20-23 miles before the SA-10 burns through on the Vark, and the SA-8 you can jam and he should miss. He had a solid lock and fired all four before I gave him a HARM in return.
  5. Very well maybe, but still I would think if the LAU-105 was loaded then the other ones would appear.
  6. I've never had to totally specify racks in WoX. Depending on the year, what aircraft yeah.. but then again for like Brimstone it'll load a TER instead of the actual rack. Matter of fact on the AT-6B if you don't stick with the default, it'll have the dual Maverick rails for the Hellfires, and the LAU-105 for the Stingers if you change it up.
  7. Damn straight man, EA is a reality these days, and I apply that logic even in the sims. Not sure how a Spark Vark works against an SA-10.... but that's just something to check out..
  8. That is good to hear, as I've still kept WOE and waiting until SF2:E is "mature" enough for me to consider switching over.... Definitely interested in this terrain...
  9. Confirmed only LAU-105. I checked the folders where I put the LAU-115C's in (A too for the AHM) and they were deleted. Not sure what is causing that but maybe game logic?
  10. Well dual IRM is confirmed, but AHM is not. I just loaded them up and flew a recce flight to verify if the SHARP works (it does) but I was able to select "4 AIM-9 series" missiles but didn't verify what type rails showed up.
  11. Well I got most of the weapons converted over, and if I remember correctly, the SF2 engine doesn't utilize dual IRM or AHM rails (Specificially the LAU-115Cs). I had just checked it out but all the other stuff works fine.
  12. Ehh I just jam the thing. Doing some Jammer testing and if you got a good jammer, you can stroll right up to it or pop it with a Mav. Though usually I think in those terms because I don't take wingman anymore on strike missions. CAS maybe or the rare CAP, but no no no.
  13. Well we all get tied up in stuff, so not trying to sharpshoot, just making sure things are straight man, and after that many weapons... yeah I'd be just as jacked up.
  14. Definitely an improvement I got an airshow video of the Raptor, if needed for any extra FM tweaking.
  15. If me mind serves me right they're looking at it for a replacement for the Texan, and possible COIN aircraft. Personally I'd get rid of the gunpods and substitute bombas for CAS missions though. Not that the .50 isn't respectable, but I like the BOOM better
  16. Occasionally it is nice to fly this one, and the OV-10, as sometimes you gotta take it slow...
  17. I was doing a CAS mission in SEA one time, I had the jammer going, and streaming the ALE. I flew over a SA-13 site and nothing happened. My escort flight nearly got swatted down by that same one... so I think it's a combo of both that totally kept it from flying, as the escort birds flew the same general flightpath.
  18. I've been slow to get around to updating the aircraft. I do have SF2 and trying to get more familiar with it, and update the weapon files for SF2. Silverbolt hooked me up with the missing textures for SF2. In the zip file, courtesy of Silverbolt, are the ones you put in the "FA-18F/cockpit" folder. Also the updated readme that covers that. Suffice to say it's not a priority, and still trying to wrap my head around the custom drop tank texture tutorial from KB. It's good but leaves me with the question of really, what do I have to do? Once I get that figgered out I'll probably get off my butt and upload it. Two weeks as usual Just be advised that the Readme is still WIP as I figure out more stuff But I have it in SF2 and the Refueller mod doesn't affect it. Some people may have issues with it, as one did (but think that was a joystick issue). And since nobody else has complained about it (least as far as I know) I may remove those lines. 19. Well in all honesty, it's not so much the aircraft, just teh weapon itself. I just happen to have managed to get those moved over lately so when things work better, I'll get more in. And Dave, always appreciated bro, don't know what I would do without your help with this series
  20. I can't say that SF2 isn't the best, some methods, once figured out, is pretty cool. But I'm not quick to remove WoX yet, as I got the Vista freeze issues (got it somewhat tweaked so it's not freezing up all the time) so moving stuff around isn't an option yet until the freezing up goes away. Overall impression is it's good, but over time once people understand the various issues it'll be allright. But... I do agree, it's not the most preferable method (rather than having everything in the same game folder is nice) and really not efficient, it's not too bad. Just gotta be patient, and asking questions is the best way to do it.
