There was another exercise I heard about on Alert5.com that a VFA-11 pilot managed to get his gun pipper on a F-22 as well. More than likely the F-22 was OPFOR for the air to air exercise and the F-22 lost. Kinda how the Navy puts "GO NAVY BEAT ARMY" quite proudly on their aircraft. Next time that happens it's going to be "GO ARMY BEAT NAVY" on a Navy jet. But honestly, given the Army's record... And it's always good to have inter-service rivalry sometimes, keeps the motivation up

I had thought that first, but looks like we got a story developing here... -

No, I mean the texture looks from LOMAC. Getting a little too close.... -

Did a fuel strike somewhere in Vietnam and flew under SA-3s, all went winchester and I just flew around, and blew one up. Realized then that the -16s weren't needed, as I wasn't going to stick around before enemy aircraft spawned in my Vark-F. -

Not sure, as I've intentionally (kinda dumb, was in a SAM infested area of Vietnam) tried to drag it on buildings, so if Vampyre broke his, may have been the attachment point, not the ALE-50 itself. Also left to do is FC scrubbing the data.ini's and once he okays it it'll be ready. -

Nah, as I mentioned in another thread, I took an SA-17 head on, even saw the launch through the targeting pod... And I've come back shot up pretty bad doing SEAD missions in Afghanistan map. -

I guess I'm doing something wrong, I try to break it but can't. Must be some survival instinct..... -
If you're coming over here, more than likely you'll be at Kandahar, Kabul, or Bagram. Seriously you'll be fine man.

Started playing the single missions from DS. Kinda the same... but then again it's interesting with different aircraft nontheless, I think the best was this one, where towards the end, a BTR-ZPU tagged my wingtip. Dumb idiot But on one note, Silverbolt, the skin looks directly from LOMAC.... -

I tried that as well, an SA-5 if I remember on the Range map. I flew around as it locked me up good, but the joker wouldn't fire, made myself the easiest target and it just wailed away. -
It's all good man, it's late night here so back in the states it's like mid morning so it's understandable

No problemo brother, and thanks all again, much appreciated

Non Static carriers in midway terrain?
EricJ replied to Anthony W.'s topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I know this is probably a wild idea, but isn't it possible to make a static carrier for singleplayer missions? Or is it just a technicality? Reason I ask is because if you can make forward airstrips, I would figure the same thing can be done for that. I'm sure I'm making an assumption as usual, but is it doable? -
Just wanted to say thanks for the concern, and RIP for those who can't be around anymore..

EricJ replied to EricJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Um... not really as far as I've been concerned. I got popped with an SA-17 yesterday, but that was direct hit (saw it in the ATFLIR window, good stuff....) to the front, so if it's been rectified with a hit box, then yeah, but so far I've tried to "break" it by having it strung out while mountain flying, and try to scrape it on a building, but then again I hadn't tried or gotten any results in that yet. -
Yeah checking in bro, negative knowledge as our BN AO was fairly quiet, and we had a gunner get a boo boo, but other than that man, still alive (as well as the other soldiers in my unit) are alive and kicking!

lol true enough brother. I do have the original MAX file though, but since this comp won't allow me to upload, I'll have to get it when I can. -

Mk.1 eyeball and gunsight, really gets the pucker factor going though, especially the F But just to be rude because I'm not in a good mood, let's bring the topic back to the game, not real world events, ze Aviatzion topic is the place to go -
